Well, I'm sure most of you hear there would be a big Halo 2 announcement this week, to celebrate 5 years since Halo's first debut, and here it is:

For you lazy asses here, here is the rundown:

1. Multiplayer Beta in Spring: Public beta for all Xbox 360 Live Gold members. This pretty much confirms the game will hit in Fall 2007. No word on when and how long the beta is, but the news is still awesome.
2. New Halo 2 maps: These will ONLY be available over Live Marketplace, so those who haven't made the change to the 360 yet, you are s**t out of luck. No word if these will be free or not, but they will be released in spring along with the beta.
3. Halo 3 teaser in December: During ESPN's Monday Night Football, the game featuring the Panthers and the Eagles, there will be a 60 second Halo 3 teaser. If you are like me and hate football, this trailer will be available the following day.

Man, I can't wait for that multiplayer beta.

I woudln't care if it was 500 points per map. I'd still get them.
