I don't know how many of you sit at the marketplace for a few minutes each day, constantly refreshing, just to see if there might be an item you like that you may not have seen before. Well, I'm one of those people, and personally, minigame items piss me off.
When fishing fisrt came out, the Marketplace was OVERLOADED with Guppies selling for 5,000 gold buy some idiot who thought he was cute. Or there were fishing rods being sold above store price because that person thought they deserved more than 50% of the price that Logan would offer.
And now, the casino. I just saw an entire page of Tickets selling for phenominal prices. One ticket for 700 gold. And then someone else is charging 5 gold. And then people are selling large amounts of tickets for huge prices.
I honestly don't think it's fair, first of all. That someone who has more gold than they need can buy tickets so that they don't have to work for them to get items from the ticket shop.
And now, we have pages and pages of Tickets selling for prices that people just buy. No one knows the actual value of a ticket, of 4,238 tickets. People are getting good deals, people are getting ripped off.
That's why I don't like Minigame items being sold in the marketplace.

I agree with you a bit, but honestly, it's a game of chance, so it's not liked these people were skilled or anything when they won those tickets.
There are always going to be people who would rather buy something than work for it, and those are the people that will be very disappointed later in life when they realize that money can't buy everything. Just be glad you're not one of them. biggrin

I hate the marketplace but love it just the same. I'm currently saving up for a KiKi Plushie. >.< I hate the high prices - people are so damn greedy!
I personally not going to play the slots.
I do check around the marketplace to see different items and other such things, though. ^.^

@ Blossom - I know that there are people that are like that, but GAIA is an online site, they have the power to be completely dictatorious (we're pretending that's a word) and block tickets from being sold and all that.
I remember on Neopets (and this was YEARS ago) when the Codestones were released in a plot. To prevent people from selling them and making the plot kind of a joke, they made it so you couldn't sell them.
I think GAIA should disable the selling and buying of tickets on the marketplace.
@ Amber - That happens with ALL donation items. I remember buying Angelic Pendants for 13km now they're 75k. Fortunately, I bought all my items cheap when they first came out, so if I sold them I'd make huge profit.
But yeah, I refuse to sell Donation Items now, because in a few months they'll be worth a lot more, especially if they're good items.

Yes, you have a point; they should. I just saw someone selling 200 tokens for 1000 gold and I was like, "WTF? How stupid do you think people are?"

I agree. I'm afraid that with the minigame items, things are only going to get worse. If the economy starts becoming bad Lanzer might be forced to do something like a rollback again.

Quadadiddle What exactly happened with the Rollback? I missed the whole thing. meh my post didnt work I told kyrite hours ago that the rollback wasn't caused by minigames and such. THere was a glitch which gave thousands of users thousands of free gold which they used to buy up sealeds and donation items and they overpriced said items till sealeds were an arm and a leg. Basically a glitch was exploited and to fix the damage the rollback was done.

Actually prices went up during the rollback. The kiki's were about 8000 and then after the rollback they were 13000, now they're up to 15000, and thats at the least
