After a couple days of healing, Wahabu was feeling consdierably better- though that was partially due to the fact he hadn't seen his sister in those days. While others might have been concerned about their sister, he wasn't so much concerned as he was relieved. His paranoia about her was starting to fade, and he was relishing in the fact that he was feeling better and had his white feather tucked safely behind his ear again.

The young lion had found some trees and thought of Kubwa, deciding he could try and get some practice climbing them. Then he would be prepared for the next time he saw his friend! Of course, Kubwa said he'd won last time, but he suspected it wasn't true.

So Wahabu stood at the bottom of a tree and stared up it, pondering the best approach to the task he set for himself.

Verdad had filled out a bit. Her small, cubbish body had begun to thin out as she grew. Her legs grew longer and thicker along with her new urges to chase and grab. She was happy with her new self especially now that she knew she was going to get a big as her mother one day. She laughed, prancing about on her longer legs. For once, she wasn't interested in chasing bugs and butterflies but she was on a mission to make friends. Aden had started talking to others and she would be angry if her brother had more friends than her.

"I'm sure someone is around here...somewhere."

Wahabu's search for friends had begun at a much earlier age, and though he was not making any specific efforts he was always more than happy to play with someone. His current efforts were even connected to this, and one of the friends he had made- the only one that was his age, in fact.

He sat at the bottom of the tree a couple of minutes trying to remember how to start. All he really remembered was using his front paws to pull him up, and using his back paws to try to keep him steady. So, in an attempt to get started, he stretched out on the tree and got the best grip he could manage.

"Urrrrg," Wahabu grumbled, and lifted his feet from the ground to get started- dangling from the tree, close to the ground.

The sun glared down on her as she walked through the open plains. Her fiery pelt attracted heat like stench brought flies in droves. Her tail still twitched with unused energy as her tongue lolled.

She loved making friends. It was an art form to her. The orange cub had only made a few in her short lifetime but they had impacted her in many ways. In fact, she needed new friends. The only one she had turned out to have an evil, scheeming brother who threatened her if she decided to talk to the blue cub again. Maybe she could find someone else who held her interest.

Verdad's eyes darted about at the sound. "Hello?."

Wahabu was in the middle of trying to start moving up the tree trunk when he heard someone call out, and it sounded like a girl's voice. Startled by the sound of the voice, he tensed and lost his grip on the tree- tumbling down to the ground, which luckily was not far away. However, rolling in the dirt wasn't the best feeling.

Then he realized the tone of the voice he'd heard, it didn't sound bad- but hadn't Kilango been tricky like that? She's wanted to play, she said.. Once he righted himself, standing once again on the ground, he looked around.

"Um, hi?"

Verdad laughed. There was nothing better than watching something fall out a tree. Of course she didn't realize how much it hurt until it actually happen to her but she didn't climb so there was no problem. She stalked to through the grasses to just beyond the tree, lifting herself up against it's trunk. The pale male made her giggle. She smiled, digging her claws into the bark to stay upright.

"You're goofy." With a happy sigh, Ver let her claws slide down the tree until all fur paws were on the ground.

"What were you doin' up there anyway?" Why climb something if you were just gonna fall? Wasn't that stupid? Maybe it was better if shedidn't tell her brother about his stupendous fall. "You 'kay?"

The laugh made Wahabu more nervous, for he still hadn't quite spotted the source of the call and the laughter. He might not have minded the laughter had it been a male, a gender he'd not had any bad experiences with. He watched with slightly widened eyes as Verdad appeared and stretched out on the tree.

She sounded friendly, happy.. genuine about it even. But he'd fallen for that, and it would not happen again! Wahabu backed up a bit, distancing himself from her a bit more.

"I was practicing my climbing," he replied, never daring to be rude enough to ignore a question- no matter how anxious talking to someone might make him, "I'm fine, just fine." The little yellow lion sounded more certain when he said he was alright, and that was mostly a natural self-defense to make sure she knew he wasn't an easy target. That, of course, was mostly false.

Verdad sat, perched on one of th lower roots of the tree, gazing at the pale lion. Her laughter subsided to a soft but no less excited giggle. Her tail thumped wildly against her flank as it curled around her small body. Green eyes were bright and cheerful as she looked down on him from her perch. It was true that a bright, loudly laughing cub would probably seem quite threatening to someone who didn't know them but Ver meant no harm at all.

"Practicing?..."

The intrest in climbing trees had diminished as soon as it began. She didn't like being so high up without a rock or her mother below her. The orange lioness nodded and clumsily fumbled down from the root to the ground. "I gave up trees a long time ago."

Despite how genuine Verdad's cheerful disposition seemed to the little yellow lion, he did not let his guard down. He didn't trust his ability to differentiate between the genuine and the false. He nodded in reply to her question, stammering into an awkward explanation, "My friend and I race up trees.."

He watched her climb down and declare how she'd given up trees, and frowned. Wahabu didn't know what to say, his explanation still applied to why he was doing it. After a pause, he tilted his head slightly, "Why?"

Green eyes brightened as she took another step towards Wahabu. It would have been impossible to look any nicer even for her. Dust covered paw rested calmly on the ground. Her tail curled tightly around her paws as she brought herself to her haunches. She chuckled happily and shook her head.

"Trees and my paws don't mix." She held up a large red paw to him. "see. They're too big to hang on right." She laughed and looked up through the branches. "I don't like trees anyway so it's okay..."

Wahabu was prompted to look down at his own paws curiously once she declared her paws to be too big for the venture. His paws didn't look too big, especially compared to a tree, but maybe it was true? He shook his head and looked up to Verdad.

"It hurts my paws, but I still try," he shrugged, and noticing he didn't know who she was, he asked, "What's your name?"

Verdad flopped to her side, causing a great cloud of dust to hover around her. Her large paws crossed and rested on the ground. Her suprisingly long limbs stretched for a moment before curling against her chest. She giggled as he inspected his paws. She thought it was funny but even her muffled self control knew to keep that to herself. Her mind had actually grown with her body. Not that anyone who didn't know her before the shocking change took place.

"I don't like climbing trees. I like all my paws on the ground." She nodded and smiled up at him. "Verdad. What's yours?"

Wahabu nodded, deciding not to question Verdad's liking for staying on the ground any further. Everyone had their own opinion, and if he wasn't intent on playing with his friend he too might admit he preferred to keep his paws on the ground.

"Wahabu," he answered, then stumbled trying to continue conversation, "If you don't like climbing, what do you like to do?"

Verdad yawned, letting her whiskers rustle lightly. She liked being on the ground. The Juve didn't quite know why but she knew that she wasn't and would probably never be a tree climber. With a huff, the orange lioness jumped to her paws. Dust wafted quickly and twirled around her after a good shake, green eyes brightly shining brightly. It was nice to be clean and free of dust again.

"Dunno. I just like being on the ground but I love chasing things and running!" Running was certainly one of her passions. "What do you like to do Habu?" The smile on her maw widened in a cheshire cat grin.

Wahabu watched Verdad and listened to her carefully, unable to hide a smile at the mention of running and chasing. They were certainly activities he enjoyed from time to time, and they were much easier on the paws than climbing trees. He was startled most by her shortening his name- his first nickname, aside from his sister's preferred name for him, 'stupid.'

The grin that was coupled with the friendly gesture threw him off, though. He couldn't help but see it as somewhat malign, especially after the wicked grin his sister bore following her attack. He took an instinctive step back, wondering what she could be plotting, and then realized he forgot what they'd been talking about.

"What?" he asked, his tone not much different than before though he was physically more cautious looking.
