The reason why Flair and Piper gave up the titles is because Piper had an infection in his bowel or whatever and he had to go back to the U.S for medical attention.

yeah that...plus he wouldn't beable to stick around that long and neather would ric flair they come and go at different times...plus after surviver series they'll do something for edge and randy to loose the belts to dx

I think we all knew the old timers wern't going to hold the belts for long. At least now DX will have a shot at the gold.
