Okay, so for the past 2 or 3 days I haven't found a single fossil, I've dug behind trees just in case, and nothing. Is there a time period where they don't come out at all?

If you have your time set to October-November it is harder to find fossils as the stars are roughly the same colour as the ground. If you look closely you might be able to see some! smile

Yeah, I'm playing regular(no Time Traveling). I've heard it gets easier to find them when it starts snowing, so I guess I'll have to wait in the meantime.

Actually a green Elephant wouldnt stand out very well against grass and trees so you'd still get trampelled! But yeah it's true they seem harder to find only because they're harder to see!

I haven't found any fossils lately either. I do notice the little star things on the ground right away but all of them are just pitfalls.

The truth is that their is a lot less of them in this time of year actually these two months of October and November and once December hits, you'll begin to find an average of 3 fossils a day like before and sometimes up to 5!

Okay, so I noticed that when you can't find anything, it's because the fossils are hidden in the edges where grass patches end. So look there people.

And here I thought it was because I had already filled the fossil exhibit at the museum!
