Yasuhiro Nightow for Trigun and Gungrave, although Trigun turned anime in the middle of the story between publishers and Gungrave was never a manga. Yasuhiro is not strictly mangaka.
The art style I find very pleasing and well done. Trigun was well done in that it could easily transition from funny-cute to serious and not lose artistic prowess. Also the plot is very good and the characters are well developed.
I also like Keiko Nobumoto but she has only created series, such as Wolf's Rain and Cowboy Bebop, and they were originally (beautifully done) anime. However, the art of the hired artist to do the Wolf's Rain manga (even though it was... well... you know...) Toshitsugu Iida is refreshing and quite lovely.

I'm really not good with remembering names((well spelling them)) but ones like, of course Yuu Watase & Kaoru Yuki I like but also the manga-ka for DN Angel & for the manwha Kill Me Kiss Me & Moon Boy I like as well heart

My favorite mana-ka would me Yukiru Sugsaki. ^^ Most people only know of her as the artist for DN Angel but she did many other series besides that!

oo... Yuu Watase, Matsuri Hino, Arina T... (the person who did The Gentlemen's Allience, Full moon, KKJ, and yea.), CLAMP,... and um, dont really know lots of mangkas.. usually go by titles. sweatdrop

Off the top of my head, some mangaka/manhwaga that I really look up to are Kaori Yuki and Hiroaki Samura. I also really like the character and clothing designs by CLAMP.
I'm probably forgetting several authors, but I was always horrible with names.

Saah... I think my favs are Mineko Ohkami and Shingo Nanami. I just love their art and illustrations the most.
