I have to sing in a semi-important performance about 36 hours from now. I just woke up to find that I'm sick; runny nose, mild sore throat, a little bit of coughing, etc! I'm hoping that my allergy medicine (which I take on a normal basis) will help to decongest me, but otherwise...
Do you have any advice on what I can do to make myself sound the best I can with this cold? I'm a soprano and I'm singing Think of Me from Phantom of the Opera.

-Get lots of rest. -Drink lots of fluids. -Medicine is good. -Don't strain your voice. Don't talk if possible. -If you are still yucky by the performance, talk to your teacher. Ask if you can change the key to something more feasible or change some notes. -If worse comes to worse, back out of the solo. You'll have lots of future opportunities. But hopefully, this won't happen.
Good luck!

steam spinach in water with a bit of salt. eat the spinach (it's good for you!!!!) and then, before your performance (if not all throught the 36 hours) drink the salty spinach water. iron, vitamin B, and salt. that's what you got. also, have lots of vitamin B and C.
