This short drabble on merely 200 words was inspired by an interview I read with MCR.
The Way of Romance by Meera Flame
Frank had never been a really romantic person. Not until he met Gerard anyway.
The twenty-five year old guitarist would no longer ask questions when his fellow band mate, best friend and lover would run his hand up his thigh, place smooth kisses all around his face, and whisper hotly into his ear, “God, I love you.” As he once had.
Frank Anthony Iero, one of two guitarist in the well-known rock band My Chemical Romance had learned over the years to appreciate Gerard Way’s romantic gestures.
So when Gerard slipped his tired body into Frankie’s bunk while the others were asleep, stuck a flower in his hair and called him ‘My pretty Princess’, Frank could only melt into the older man’s embrace. At that moment, there were no words that could describe how highly he loved him. So instead of praising the man with words of love, he kissed him and smiled when Gerard nipped at his lip ring in a way only he could.
When a journalist asked Frank what was the best thing about romance, and the guitarist had answered, “Oh man, everything, everything,” little did people know that this everything was his Gerard.
