*Dicey wandered through the darkness in her mind. It had happened again. That nightmare she would always have had now intruded into her daydreaming as well.
Dicey stumbled and fell to her knees clasping her hands to the side of her head.*
"Shut up! SHUT UP!"
*Dicey screamed as the images and voices seemed to encircle about her.
Di couldn't hold on to reality much longer, she felt herself slip from consciousness and fall into the darkness that she feared so much.*
*The air was stale and smelled of blood, old blood. She felt as if the dreamworld she had fallen was eating away at her sides, hands, arms, legs, chest face. Her whole being itched with the change.*
"NO! Not again!"
*Dicey thought. She never wanted to enter that form but it was too late.
Her body contorted as she struggled with the transformation that wasn't just happening inside her mind but also with her unconscious body. To a normal person it would look as if she was in a state of body spasm, but once they saw the pitch black wings sprout from her back and her skin turn from a soft white to an almost black gray. Her eyes would become a bloody crimson and her hair would turn to a sleek black color.*
*Then immediately her spasms ceased. Dicey lay there no longer Dicey but Di in her true essence.
A black wind cut through the trees and her eyes flew open along with her body into an upright position.*
"Thinking you could overcome my power this time Dicey?"
*The voice was harsh and sweet at the same time, an odd voice indeed.*
"You know I am so much better than you and your insignificant being."
*Di stood up and stared down at the clothes she wore in disgust.*
"Uh, how can you wear this filth?"
*With a quick flick of her hand the tatty untasteful clothes changed to one of a long black close fitted dress with a crimson tunic lining.*
"There, so much better than that peddler's drab."
*Di smiled wickedly and began to walk.*
"Yes today is a good day to make havoc. Don't you think, Dicey?"
