The white female was wandering looking for Ra. She hadn't seen him for a while, in fact, she hadn't seen anyone for a while. Her golden eyes looked about here and there, her larger body weaving like a ghost in and out of the bones.
"Ra?" She spoke softly seeing some movement, it was only a crow. She snarled a little and continued to look, where was her older friend when ya needed him?
She moved a little slower now, lowering her body, then stretching her neck, climbing over bones and skulls. She wanted to find her friend, and though this was partly out of boredom, she hadn't seen him in a while and she felt ready to have that fight he had promised her all that time ago.
She wouldn't win, she knew that, but it would be fun, to have a fight against Ra.

Ra was growing into an adult gradually, his sparse mane spreading across his shoulders and down his chest, still straggly and far from full it made him look rather messy and distinctly awkward, but such were the trials of adolescence. In addition to this, of late he had found himself restless and in possession of a wanderlust, half of him wanted to journey, to explore, the other half would never leave Ny behind, his only friend outside his family and an individual he thanked his lucky stars for meeting.
It was Ny he sought today, wanting to see how she fared, a spring in his step, his tail waving happily behind him as he went, eyes searching for that ghostly white fur of his friend. They were both very unusual for their pride, she with her red-on-white fur, he with his red-on-black fur. Neither looked immediately Firekin and that was the way he liked it, they were different, they would do things differently from what was expected, at least, in his mind, he was set on such.

She spotted him at last, the markings on his back were hard to miss.
"RA!" She ran at him, pouncing into a flying adolescent lioness, alot bigger then maybe he remembered her as. A little more playful as well. She had been growing out of the serious way of looking at things that she had gained in her birthplace, now she was happy to do a flying tackle at Ra, though whether in the desert or here she would be happy to do so.
Oh how happy she was to see his black pelt, yes they were different and thats how she liked it. They were different, maybe that was what made them such good friends.

Ra could only muster a confused "Eeep!" as he was bowled to the ground by a brilliant white ghost of a lioness. It actually took him a few seconds to actually deduce that there was only one girl he knew with such white fur and red markings, but surely she hadn't grown so much so quickly? He laughed aloud besides, glad to see she was alive and well, looking healthier than ever and more carefree. Grinning he nuzzled her affectionately. "'Allo Ny!" he said as soon as he got back the breath that had been knocked out of him by the tackle. He'd found her!
"I'm so glad to see you are alright, I always worry about you, the hyenas around here are dangerous. But I see I had little to worry about really, these days you are more than big enough to take on an adult one in a fight if it came to it."
She was so stunning, all but glowing with life. It made his mind boggle, his memory must have faded over time or perhaps it was the graveyard itself and the independence she'd seized that made her so different from the downtrodden fellow youth he'd left the Firekin alongside.

She laughed at him, welcoming the nuzzle and returning one back to him.
"I have been looking everywhere for you! Somehow you blend in with all the white around here... I wonder how, being all black and shadow like." She chuckled a little, yes she had changed somewhat.
She listened to his words as she cleaned her paws a little where they got dirty from moving so quicky to pounce Ra, "Worry? Ra! Look at me, they would see me and my beauty would make them drop dead!" She chuckled, being a little more sarcastic then usual.
She trotted around him in circles, checking him over. "Ra, your mane.. its.. a mess!You should look after yourself more!" She batted at him with her paw and sat down.
"How have you been my friend?" Her golden eyes looking at him, a little smile on her face. She was happy, happier then she would have ever been staying in the desert.

Ra smiled warmly "Well, every skull, no matter how bright, has a shadow, you just have to learn to use them. Can't have light without dark."
The black lion got about as dusty as anyone else did in the graveyard thanks to the strange silvery dust that seemed to be everywhere. He followed suit but rather than grooming his paws he just swept the dust off till they were suitalby dark again.At her joking comment about her beauty he actually smiled goofily and looked non-committally away. If he could have blushed, he probably would have. "Maybe. Though beauty to a hyena is nothing more than a freshly killed lion around here." he conceded with a smirk.
At his mane he protested "He-ey, I groom it all the time, it just keeps growing all the time and it's all different lengths so it looks a total mess." The different shades of black and red didn't help one bit. "I can't wait till it grows in properly like dad's."
"I've been good" he said with a smile "It's nice here with no rules to control you, but yeah, I've been restless lately, wanting to start doing things on my own, I don't like relying on my parents with their new kids around. I've been kicked out in the cold it seems." he smiled, not really holding it against them, it was the way of things, he was old enough, now he was out on his own.

She nodded, Ra was clever, most of the time. She admired him for that.
"The hyena's would see my beauty though!" She flicked her tail and rubbed against Ra's side, "See, who couldn't fall in love with me!" She chuckled a little, before coming to sit back down again.
"Restless? I can wander with you Ra. If that is what you are wanting. I will follow you anywhere, you should know that!" She smiled at him happily, she wanted to make sure he knew though, she cared for him greatly.

Ra smirked at Ny as she rubbed against him, it was undeniable that she had grown into a beautiful adolescent, but he wasn't about to just say so out loud, Firekin confidence didn't need flattery he figured. Instead he merely smiled playfully and said "Well, if hyena's are what float your boat..." laughing out loud and bouncing into a jog over to her side "I could care less where I went if you were with me." he smirked springing away to bound up to the top of a pile of bones nearby, his strength and grace far improved from his clumsy childishness of before.
"I know that, and it's a comforting thought."

Ny looked at him and chuckled, "I Would chose a hyena over you anyday Ra!" She laughed again, she was being very sarcastic today.
She followed him onto the pile of bones, planning to knock him over as she got to the top. "Well if you wish to leave, tell me, I am happy for another adventure with you, Ra, anytime, anyday!" She nudged him a little chuckling somewhat.

Ra smirked playfully at her from his perch on the bones. "That's a given. After all, who'd choose a Firekin loser over a slobbering, gross hyena?" As Ny followed him and drew almost within pouncing distance, he turned and in a casual leap, slid down the heap as though it were a sand dune or a chute, feeling like messing around rather than being as serious as he usually was.
"We could go visit one of the neighbouring lands, see the big softies over at the Pridelands or something. It's about time they met the lions who live near them."

She laughed as he started to slide down the bones, "Trying to knock me over now?" She jumped out his way and continued to listen.
"I thought the pridelanders hated us? We are firekin, but then.. we dont look like one, it could be fun!" She thought of taunting some cubs, just to have some fun but then at the same time wandering around with Ra was fun enough in itself!

He skidded to a halt and bounced off the pile of bones "Yeah they don't like us but we don't have to say we are Firekin, we live here anyway and from what my dad's told me there are some lions out there who have red fur but aren't of the Blood." he landed daintily on his black velvet paws "I doubt they will chase us off if we mean no real harm and keep to the borders."
He swished his black and red tail "We could go catch some lunch while we are there."

Ny thought about it for a while and nodded. "Yes you are right." She found Ra amusing sometime, bouncing around like a young cub, he was great!
"Lunch sounds good, though maybe you could get your bestest friend a meal, instead of making her hunt!" She chuckled happily, she was feeling lazy and would most happily just watch Ra hunt, admire from afar.

Ra raised a brow in feigned disapproval. "Me do the hunting? Just because I've been learning from Chomo lately doesn't mean I should have to feed us both!" he was clearly kidding from his tone, turning and starting off at an easy saunter in the direction of the pridelands. "Well, just this once then." he said as he walked.

She chuckled as he spoke, "b..but you couldn't resist me though!" She laughed as he agreed to do it and she kept up with him as they moved.
"You plan on living here Ra? Or maybe wander somewhere?" She was curious, she had many ideas but at the same time she was happy where ever she was if with Ra, she couldn't dream of leaving him behind.
