Elu lay in a small field of flowers. They were the same ones where she and Aion had fallen asleep in and the same place where she had learned about Aion's past. She had gone back to this place since then, but nothing had happened. No unusual tiredness and no feeling strange...well, except for the obvious.
She gazed up at the sky once again, thinking about the future. What will it be like? Will Aion really be there for them? And for me? She let out a sigh, and watched as the stars glowed and winked at her, not revealing any secrets. She winced slightly as one of the babies kicked again, and shifted for a better and more comfortable position, still thinking.

"I thought I would find you here..." Aion spoke quietly as he walked out of the shadows and into the field. His eye wandered down to the flowers cautiously, yet continued till he was infront of Elu. "Look, The reason I said what I did, was that obviously i'm not obsessed with looks if I took the time to get to know you, and your sister of all malu. I would care if you grew another head or something along those lines, expect me to leave then." He smirked, moving his head down and gave her a short nuzzle on the cheek.
Spotting her wince, Aion frowned and used his nose to prod her stomach lightly. "Listen you little brats, you better smarten up or else there's going to be trouble when you get out and i'll make you all miserable." He warned...knowing however they couldn't understand what on earth he was saying. Taking a few steps around her, Aion dropped to a laying position curled about her body to give her something to lean on. Figuring it will probably get worse to try and lay normally with a bulge in one's stomach.

Elu giggled lightly at his remark, "They don't know any better," she chided, leaning into his form. It was quite comfortable. "I doubt I'll be growing another head," She commented absently, "Unless one of the babies decides it's more comfortable in my shoulder." She yawned sleepily. She was beginning to feel quite tired, which was understandable, but she had the sense that it wasn't her body saying it wasa tired, but something else. She loked at the flowers, which had bloomed in the soft moonlight.
Dream Lilies...! she thought sleepily. How had she not recognized them before? It was the flowers that were making them so tired and these flowers were notorious for....creating interesting dreams....She lay her head down unable to keep her eyes open any longer. She managed a faint, "....It's just Dream Lilies....nothing....bad..." Before being flung into the misty depths of sleep.

"They should if they're going to have my genes in them. Can they really do that...?" Aion blinked as he too yawned abruptly, knowing very well it was the cause of these damned flowers once again. Why did she have to come here again? Watching as Elu had become extremely tired and sluggish, his own senses following the same path. "What....the hell are those..?" he managed to mutter before laying his head over her neck as he too drifted off into sleep.

~Dream sequence~
A young Elu, only in her late teens stood at the edge of a cliff gaze over the edge with obvious awe and wonder. She flop of brown hair fluttered in the wind as she breathed in the wonderous scent of the forest. The forest was truly beautiful, many of the trees were large enough that it took several malu touching nose and tail to circle them. It was a huge place and it was entirely populated with her pack. She turned and looked behind her as she heard hoofbeats charging toward her. Two Malu, a grey female and a male with long antlers colored much like a grizzly bear. She smiled, "Tara! Perault! Come look!" She cried happily, turning and trotting toward them.
A much younger Tara, also in her late teens stopped and nuzzled her sister gently, "Elu, you shouldn't get so close to the edge!" she chided gently, eyes sparkling with amusement. Elu giggled, "But the rush is so wonderful!" She glanced over at Perault shyly, a faint blush on her cheeks. Perault raised a single eyebrow, smirked and didn't comment. Elu giggled again, "What should we do today? I can hold off on my duties for a little while, today's jobs are just to carry things and--!"
"I think you should do your job, Elu." growled a soft voice. Elu looked at Perault, startled.
"O-Oh..." She whispered, eyes downcast, "If you say so, Perault." She murmured, blushing a bit.
Tara narrowed her eyes at the grizzly Malu, "Perault..."
"We should go look for food, Tara." spoke Perault, in a stone-like voice.
Tara's lip curled noticably, "That's not my job, Perault, that's yours. I have to practice for the festival."
Perault shrugged, "You can do that later, I'd like you to come with me." Elu blinked nd looked away, How could he say that to Tara but tell her to go do her work? She murmured something and slunk off, her feelings hurt.

'Where on earth am I...?' Aion thought, his eyes wandering over the vast forest before him. This was not the temple, and it surely was not his own homeland, for the threes here were massive in their trunks, stretching up to the sky. Jumping slightly as a familliar voice came to view, he turned to look to his side to see Elu standing a ways away, calling to Tara and...another Malu? Frowning, he stalked forewards as their conversation became more and more clear, Tara just as annoying as ever. Yet this other Malu...the Male....Aion didn't like him, he reminded him too much of himself in a way.
Watching the conversation unfold, it seemed that they didn't pay any attention to him...which was quite odd. It was then that something caught his eye, something which did not make him happy. Was Elu blushing around this idiot? Taking a glance to Perault as it hit him that this couldn't be real....Perault was long gone...never to show his face. Not to mention the fact that he looked like the oldest here, and Elu seemed to be lacking the buldge she had recently aquired thanks to Aion. Turning to Elu, he moved his paw out to touch her, yet was suprised when it had gone right through without phasing her a bit. "Figures..." He mumbled, annoyed at how useless he was at the moment. If he had been able to manifest a physical body, Perault wouldn't have been standing for much longer. Especially after that comment to Tara which had left Elu slinking off sadly.
Shaking his head, Aion frowned at the pair, wishing to stay yet he walked off in sync with Elu.

Time seemed to past incredibly fast here, before they could blink night had fallen and the entire pack lay around the huge bonfire the had been erected earlier that day. Several of the malu had already performed their entertainments with the crowning achievement being Tara's solo. Elu had been so proud of her sister. She was the youngest to ever do the solo in the history of the pack. Elu knew both her parents were proud of her and she turned to grin at her brother who lay next to her as their sister sang, "I love her singing." She whispered to him. Tai grinned at his sister, "She is good, but so are you." Elu blushed and looked away, "I'm not. Everyone says I can't." Tai sighed, "Don't listen to everyone else, Elu, and don't listen to what Perault says, he's bad news." Elu's sad smile vanished like a puff of smoke, "Stop it, Tai! I don't know why you don't like Perault but I do!" She hissed and stood up angrily, "I'm going to go look for Perault." She stood up and stalked off. Tai stared after and sighed, "Better go after her before he get's to her and corrupts her more." He growled and stood up himself, his large wings twitched as he stood and several admiring stares followed after him as he walked away, though he paid no attention to them.

Blinking, Aion looked around as his eyes had to adjust quickly to the night world. "What just happened..." He shook his head lightly, looking ahead to see the bonfire and festivities happening. Slightly shocked at how nbig a pack the two siblings had come from, he noticed one with rather dazzling white wings...immediately knowing this was Tai. Shame that he already knew the ending to this one's story.
Tilting his head in curiosity as Elu had stood up and brushed by him on her way to the woods, Aion turned his head only to feel Tai walk right through him after her. Shuddering, he followed suit behind Tai. No matter how long he was going to be a ghost, he felt as if he wouldn't be getting used to that anytime soon.

Elu made her way through the dark forest, eyes searching for the familiar sight of a grizzly malu. She vaguely recognized the area they were in, the same place they had met earlier that day. She saw something through a pair of trees "Perault!" she gasped, rushing forward only to skid to a halt in shock as she saw who was with him. Tara.
She stood rooted to the spot s she heard their conversation, "...I love you, Tara. I want us to be together." She heard him say. What...? she couldn't believe it. It wasn't possible, how could Perault and tara do that to her? "Well, that's not going to happen." Replied Tara coldly, eyes glittering, "I don't feel that way about you, Perault and you know Elu does. Go after her." Elu stared wide-eyed at Tara. Tara...? Perault stepped forward, "I have no interest in her," he practically spat the word. Elu winced visibly, "Perault?" She whispered, tearing filling in her eyes. How could he? Hadn't she shown him how much she cared?
Suddenly she found herself at the center of attention. "Elu!" gasped Tara. Perault didn't say a word for a few seconds, his eyes were dull and without emotion though an amused smirk played across his lips, "Well, well, if it isn't my pathetic crush." Elu's eyes widened and tears dripped down her face, "What did you say?" she asked, her voice thick with emotion. "I called you pathetic, girl." He sneered. T ara jerked her head toward him, "Shut. Up. Perault." She growled, golden eyes flashing with light. Perault's lips curled, "You should learn your place, Taraneh." He growled and smacked her with one of his paws. Tara went down, stunned. Elu gasped and rushed forward, "Tara? Tara! Get up!" she plead, nudging her sister frantically. "You monster! How could you hurt Tara? Especially after you just told her you loved her!" Her eyes falshed in anger. Perault chuckled darkly, "You shouldn't be talking, girl. I am just showing her her place. My mate needs to know where she stands."
Tai stepped out from behind a pair of bushes, "That's enough, Perault." He growled, flaring his wings slightly in a protective posture, moving until he was between Perault and his sisters, " I've tolerated you for the sake of Elu and Tara, but this is going to stop." His lips curled into a snarl.
Perault laughed, throwing hs head back and chortling to the sky, "Oh, really? You think you can protect them? Pathetic." He moved a single step forward, "You are gravely misinformed, Tai." He told the hawk malu, "Females are not equal to us males. They are inferior and as such, should know their place in society. I am merely teaching Tara the laws of nature."
Tai glared at Perault, "You are the one mistaken, Perault. I can't believe I let you near them! You have a sick and twisted mind, Perault. I won't make that mistake again."
Perauklt eyes flashed, "I see. I had hoped you would see reason when I had demonstrated it to you but--!" "Stop it! Both of you!" Shouted Elu, springing forward, "Tai, calm down. This creature isn't worth your anger. And you," She bared her teeth at the grizzly malu, "Get out of here. Now." She arched her back, her entire pose one of a creature ready to attack.
Perault raised an eyebrow at the female, "I underestimated you, Elu'ituha." He chuckled, "I thought you already knew your place." He shifted his weight to his hind legs and reared up, raising a paw to strike her. Elu stared in horror as he didn't, taking a step back almost tripping over her sister. I can't move! If I do he'll get Tara! her mind screamed frantically. She closed her eyes waiting for the blow---which didn't come. An agonizing shrek filled the air and Elu felt something warm splatter across her forehead. She opened her eyes to see Tai standing in front of them, one wing hanging limply at his side. "Get--moving--now!" He panted, before charging Perault. Perault retaliated, slashing at his other wing which crumpled as well. With a howl of rage Tai charged the grizzly malu again, slamming his body into the bigger malu---and over the edge of the cliff. "Tai!" Screamed Elu rushing forward, "Tai! Oh gods, Tai!"
