Elu lay in the grass under one of the many trees that lay cattered about the grounds. Darkness had fallen a while ago and she stared up at the night sky, thinking. She hadn't seen Aion in a while and she didn't mind, she hadn't wanted to, at least not until...she sighed and nudged her growing belly. How ironic. They barely knew each other and they already had pups on the way.
She let out another sigh as her thoughts drifted toward Aion. What would he think? Would he reject her? She lips twisted into a growl, he had agreed to this! She be damned if she allowed him to back out now! Somewhere in the back of her mind a tiny part of herself mareled at her attitude. Maybe it was just the hormones...She turned her head to look back up at the sky, shifting slightly to get more comfortable and sunk deeper into thought.

The night air was like breathing in a bit of heaven in his lungs, as Aion strolled casually along the grass. He hadn't seen Elu for days, having spent the past while down in his shrine debating many subjects which had been eating away at his thoughts. Turning his songle orange orb up to the stars, he sighed, not having received any answers during his time down in the sublevels.
Taking a sniff, Aion could smell the familliar scent of none other than Elu, turning his body and following the scent. In moments, he came upon her and tilted his head slightly with a nod of greetings when he stopped short a few feet away with the weird frown. Even under the tree, he could still make out from the moon's glow her obvious stomach bulge which had never been there before. "What the hell have you been stuffing your face with lately?" Aion said quite bluntly, having no clue otherwise it was something else other than overheating.

Elu turned as she caught Aion's scent but waited until he was closer to her before replying, "Tell me, Aion, why do usually thin and healthy females sudden being eating more?" She, her voice strangely calm. She stood up, a bit slower from the extra weight and sat down in front of him, the eye not hidden by her flop of hair glittering in the moonlight. Aion was smart enough to figure it out, she was going to let him figure it out on his own. Figure out that he was a father. She raised a single brow at him before looking at the sky again.
She was happy that she was going to be a motherk, there was no doubt about that in her mind, it wasa the fact that she wasn't sure she was ready and she doubted Aion was either, but they couldn't change anything now. What was done was done. Her resolve firmed as she thought about what Aion might do. If he rejected it, if he attacked her because of it she wasn't just going to lie there and let happen. She had a greater responsibility now. If he choose to partake in it she would be ecstatic but if he didn't and would never look at her again....she would accept it. She would still be damned if he didn't help take care of the children though, they were his after all. With a great sigh, she waited.

Frowning, Aion gazed at Elu with an un-interested look as a huff came before he turned his head to the side. "Do you think I care about your female hormones? How would I know what's wrong that you would let yourself go like that." It was true, Aion had no clue about females, nor did he ever want to know. Growling, he really didn't know what he had to figure out, and tilted his head up to the sky. "You're impossible, you know that?"
Seriously....when did he have to figure out? She was sure acting strange...so serious, and if female hormones could do that then he really, really wanted nothing to do with it. She was being stubborn like a mule, acting as if she was bloody well preg....Aion's normally ebony face took on a eerie shade of white as his eye widened. Looking back to her, his jaw dropping slightly, "No..."

Elu smiled slowly, "Yes." she replied eyes glittering. Despite the utter calmness in her mind, her heart began to beat rapidly. She cocked her head at him, "So? What now?" She asked softly. Her expression was closed, she wouldn't show any emotion until he told her if he would stay with her. If he didn't, then....well, she'd move on. Even if he had promised to stay with her. He was a male and males were not the most trustworthy of creatures.
She watched his every move, ignoring the tickling of her belly as one of the pups moved about, "Tell me, Aion. What now? Will you stay? Or will you run away from your responsibilty and the one you said you'd be with?" Her heat still beat rapidly and she silently began to prepare herself for rejection.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh crap.
Aion spaces, his head peruck with his permanently stuck in a lopsided positon as he just stared. He should have just stayed with his food theory and left it at that....yet he was sure Elu would have hunted him down if he ran off. So....somewhere in this short period...he had bratty, god forsaken children in her tummy now. It was like dying and being sent to the depths of the underworld run by nothing but annoying, loud kids who won't leave you alone.
"Its too late to make them go away, isn't it?" Aion sighed out, knowing such a motion was waaayy too good to be true. Damnit, and he had promised her to stay with her....he really needed to learn to be a mute, he had made way to many mistakes as of late. Watching her stern look, he coulc actually hear the rapid beating of her heart against her chest...was she really that scared? "Look, Elu. I am not one to go against my word, I may be mean, untrustworthy and sometimes down right evil....yet my word is something I live by. I'll stay, for you. Yet don't be expecting any miracles on my behalf, I will make sure they stay alive, and you're well...and that's where I draw my line." Aion huffed, god, he hated kids. Why him? Just why?

Elu laughed, "Aion, believe me, it's not like I expected this to happen." She raised an eyebrow as he continued, "I hoped for nothing more." She said finally. Another chuckle escaped, "And honestly Aion, do you really think they'll be that annoying? They're half of you. At least one is bound to be like you." She turned and nudged her belly, "Besides, it's not like they're coming today, we have a while." She didn't let it show, but her heart was in the sky. He was staying! He was going to honor his promise! She was giddy with relief and happiness. Kis wouldn't be so bad, after all, like she had told Aion, it wasn't like either of them were loud and annoying. At least not overly so.
Kids usually took after their parents. Her heart stilled a bit as she thought about who Aion was. Would their children turn to his god as well? Would they kill others? She shook her head. No. She couldn't stop them if they did, but she would try her hardest to prevent it. No child should have to go through what Aion did. She shook her head, "So, will you not stay with me until they're born? Am I not attractive to you unless I'm thin?" She asked, her lips twitching upward. It was kind of amusing now and was a way to find out if he was superficial towards her or not.

"Hmph. Good." He muttered, standing up from his spot and moving around to her side. gazing at her stomach, he raised a brow and places his nose against it...only to jump back when he felt something move. "What the hell...this thing moves??? I wasn't gone that long!" Aion hisses, placing his nose back against her stomach. Then it dawned on him....she said They're, and thats plural.
"Waiiiit a minute. There's more than one? And yes, thats makes it worse! I don't want another me around, i'll annoy the hell out of myself." However, he blinked when he heard her last comment, giving her a strange look. "Don't flatter yourself. I don't give a damn about your looks, notice how I never comment? And fine...in exhance I get a break when these things come out." He smirked up at her, chuckling.

Elu laughed as one of the little ones kicked him, "Yes, and they move." she chuckled, "I think there are about three or four." she told him calmly, "And having another you around would just give you a taste of your own medicine." She stood up and turned away, "I wasn't flattering myself, Aion, I was merely seeing if you only cared about looks or not." She replied coldly, oddly hurt by his statement. She turned and looked back at him, "A break? Very well, but not a long one, Aion. They're yours too."
She shrugged and walked off, wanting to be alone with her thoughts. Mentally speaking, she wouldn't alone physically for a long time. The faintest traces of a blush crept across her cheeks as she thought about what had just happened and she would have skipped about had she not instinctively known not to do so. She still grinned, knowing Aion couldn't see her expression. She continued on, not really looking where she was going and not really caring.
