Dath x Aleu - Border of the Pridelands

Inside You I Was Reborn
*Softly Aleu would move herself passed the large rock formations of the pride lands; it had been so long, and she had forgotten about this place. This is the place that she had run into her younger friend, Tu. She missed her deeply. Tu was a true friend; it would be a heart brake to tell her that because of a few things that had happened, Aleu would no longer be able to be around her, or see her. It was for the better, Aleu was not going to be as happy, but this way Tu would be.

With a still bitter look upon her face the young female would press on; soft cream paws lightly lacing the earths surface as she padded deeper into the pride lands. She was so unhappy right now, and had almost picked a fight with an elder male the other day. What was she going to do with herself? Blue eyes would narrow as she moved herself to sit beside the water hold; paws dipping in and out of the cool water.*

Safaia
Dathcharu'kai, the God of Chaos, hadn't noticed the pretty adol at first. He was sulking off on his own, tired of how things played with his head. This was totally wrong! He's the one that should be creating chaos of some kind, but his mind was in such a mess that he couldn't even focus on harassing others anymore. He felt like such a failure. Oh, how he knew what his darling sister would think if she had any inkling that he was feeling as low as he was right now.

But no, he didn't notice her until she seemed to just pop up out of no where, near this small water hole. He swallowed in a startled look, only eyeing her for now, his tail lightly swishing against the low bristles of grass. Herdbeasts had seemingly been through recently.

Inside You I Was Reborn
*Nipping at her left paw as she sat still; Aleu had not thought of anyone else being around, it seemed a bit early. The sun was slowly pushing up into the sky; hits of a golden orange raze soon filled the sky; what a sight- the female sighed. Her head slowly lifted back as she rested her paw back down, before stopping; eyes setting upon the form of another.

What was this? Slowly she inched herself back, eyeing the male before her; eyes wide. Wings, a horn? Red fur it was not the odd feathers or gray horn that stopped her, but the color of his fur. Was he a Firekin-like-god? She snarled and backed herself up, her eyes narrowing upon him. She wouldnt let herself be taken away, no not yet, maybe he had come to return her to the Firekin... because she was to be a slave, soon... She had given up her freedom for a friend, but in the end Aleu was left with pain, in knowing she wouldnt be free.

So right now, all she could do was stand still, eyeing him, not looking for a fight or to have any kind of anger within her, but because of her sate, she was left with nothing else to do but this sadness- she would have to wait on his actions. Maybe he was not of the Firekin and he was just a winged lion... when she was smaller Aleu had stumbled upon a female winged lioness- what a sight... She would never forget that day.

Blue orbs rested along his form softly, he could tell that she wouldnt fight or even put up much of a struggle if he was indeed here to hard her. She seemed too stressed and upset to handle such an affair.*

Safaia
Dath had not moved at all when her eyes had caught his. He might of blicked a time or two, but his tail slowly stopped swishing, his breathing light. She did the normal panicked move that most mortals did; normally Dath enjoyed this, used it against the mortals, but he was just too damn uncaring today.
"Hmph, always like that, damn mortals. You'd think they would actually know about us..."

Dath, ignoring the slight taste of fear in the air, slowly padded his way towards the water hole, closer, closer...drink normally didn't bother him, but after being in the graveyard for so long, he was a bit parched. He gave her a small glance before crouching down to take a drink, not taking as much as he could of. He just didn't feel like bothering drinking up a lot of water. It made him sleepy and slow, and even if he was feeling pretty down, he wasn't going to make himself vulnerable.

He slowly pulled himself up to a sitting position, his maw dripping excess water until it was just wet. He rubbed his chin with his shoulder, leaving a damp spot in his fur. Not much caring about that, he looked at the lioness yet again. It was like an awkward standoff, of sorts.

Inside You I Was Reborn
*Maybe she was just letting the thought of the Firekin get to her. He couldnt have been one; she just had to make herself think that this was true. Blue orbs would follow him as he moved down for a drink; before narrowing back to the sky. She let a sigh of relief pass her chest as she moved herself to sit back down. Not feeling any real danger from this male. Though, then again she had no idea who he was or why he was here

His words didnt pass her, if he had spoken she did not hear him, and maybe that was for the better. She let a weak smile pass her maw as she slowly moved herself to glance at him again. A stand off of glances this had become. She would look at him then away, not really moving herself much, or speaking. How odd this felt.

She was growing up, and for once she didnt feel like she was drawn close to him, this time was different. She wasnt so young anymore. Soon she would be full grown but as of right now she felt it. She felt older and a bit wiser. Maybe the events in her lie were s lowly pushing her to become stronger and wise? He seemed lovely enough in looks, but that didnt pass her.

She saw him as a high being, because most likely he was. She did not know how to react to a king or queen, so what she was to say to a winged lion? Her heart sunk low as she moved herself down; her back arching as she moved to get a drink of water.*

Safaia
Dath observed her with a raised eyebrow. What a strange mortal. She seemed a bit different then the ones he had crossed-paths with, but still wasn't something extraordinary. He gave out a light yawn, and only did he speak again when she had bowed down to take a drink. It seemed like a decent enough moment for him to speak, since the awkwardness of eye contact was starting to bother him.
"...."
He sighed. He didn't know what to say. What was becoming of him? It wasn't emotions, or anything of the like, not in that sense, but he felt, if not uncomfortable with the situation, uncomfortable with himself. And that was something he had never discovered within himself. These new outlooks were troubling him. Where was the carefree, don't-give-a-damn attitude that he had when he was younger?
Yup, he was a joke of a god. A joke.
"Tch, don't even know why I'm here..." the god mumbled to himself. He scowled and glared at the ground, acting as if it was the earth's fault over nothing.

Inside You I Was Reborn
"No point in being bitter."

*Speaking up now Aleus head rose back to meet his gaze as she sat herself in front of him slightly, eyeing him. She couldnt say that she wasnt doing the same, because all in all she was filled with anger, but it was really pointless to let it get the best of you. He seemed a bit upset himself, maybe not about the same thing as she was, but all in all he looked upset. Cocking her head to the side she spoke out, her eyes narrowing along his form.*

"Do you really have to know why? Cant you just... be?"

*As if trying to get herself to become a bit more open with this winged male she spoke to him in her light tone, showing no signs of mockery or anger. She just wanted to understand why he seemed so... upset.*

Safaia
"Bitterness is something that normally doesn't get to me."
He gave a small snarl at the mortal before withdrawing it. He shouldn't be so snappy at her, but he hated it when these stupid mortals always telling him what he should do. He'd gotten it a lot lately, anyway. He must be losing his streak of cockyness.
"And just 'be'-ing is something that doesn't come well to a god."
He snapped his jaw shut before speaking more. What the hell was coming to his head? Things that reminded him of his sister, and not himself. Now that was even moreso pissing him off. He slashed at the ground and swiveled around, his wings fluttering through the swift movement. He slammed both strong forepaws on the grown and gave out a roar.
"I don't even know what being a god is anymore!"
After his fit, the shaken god's sides heaved as he breathed heavily, trying to gather his composure again. That was embarassing.

Inside You I Was Reborn
"I never said you had to or you shouldnt... its just a fact really..."

*The female didnt seem to mind his anger as he put himself into a small fit, lashing out at her slightly. Really, she could understand his tension. She simply smiled and eyed him as he snarled and moved her ears down as he let himself roar; hopefully that would let out some of that stress he may have had. It was good to vent, so she would let him. After sitting for a short while without saying anything to him she spoke again, this time her tone slightly caring.*

"I may not understand what your life is like, or what it is to be a god, but I still can feel anger and sorrow like you can... The only thing I see making you and I different are a few outer feathers and a misunderstanding of my words... Other then that, even if you feel as if I cant grasp what you are or say, I think I can. I am not so different from you. Big or small, I am alive too... Being isn't the hard part... meaning in being seems to stop me."

*She nodded and eyed him with her dark blue eyes; his feathers batting a close to her face. Her nose winkled back as she let a soft sneeze pass her, before blushing slightly; her left paw moving up to rub along her nose.*

"Sorry... Life doesnt seem to be going well for you too, Mmmm...?"

Safaia
Dath grumbled. What the hell was she saying? That she could feel like him? Nononono....
He twisted his head back at her, not looking too pleased.
"You, feeling like ME? No, my dear mortal, it is me mingling too much with your kind that I picked up your emotions. I am no longer a force to reckon with, I am more of a joke of a god then anything. I have spent too much time..." his voice dripped off acidicly, as if his anger didn't get better, but only worse.
"...like the foolish time I let one creep if only a bit into my heart....never again, never..."

It was as if he was crazed. A controlled craze, for the most he ever did physically was flex his claws into the earth, but he was not a happy little god right now. And that wasn't always a good thing.

But that small fire within him was slowly starting to cool. After this even larger flare of anger, it had finally come to him why he was uncomfortable with himself. Yes....that's it...that must be it...

His body relaxed, and he fell to the ground, exhausted. His breathing wasn't as fast as it was a few moment ago, but he still worked to catch him breath, slow his heartbeat, and thing more clearly. Yes, that would be helpful. Then perhaps he could turn back into what he used to be, what he wanted to be.

Inside You I Was Reborn
*Keeping herself still the female only frowned as he moved to become even more in rage. But still she held herself strong. With a soft sigh she eyed him as he moved himself down... A soft glance to him would show that she didnt let what he said bother her. She was not the one that had harmed him; therefore she felt no sadness or anger when he spoke. Maybe she would never understand, maybe she really was a lame as others saw her as. Whatever it was she didnt care, right now for the most part she felt he needed some care.

With a soft gaze the female would move herself up, only to use her paws to bat water over to him, hoping to make him cool off. Maybe he needed food? She thought, eyeing around the pride lands. She would do everything she could to make sure he was alright before letting him go. Knowing he most likely hated her she kept herself back a few feet, still pondering over what to do.

Food maybe, even some shade would help? But she couldnt get to close to him, fearing he would attack her or be too heavy. She had never really hunted on her own, so if she was to get him food, this would be her first real time doing so. With a soft smile upon her maw the female slowly inched herself away from him, before dashing out and into the pride lands. Soft grass hit her sides as she stumbled down a hill; eyes wide. Her nose was following the sent of a feathers creature, hoping that it was upon ground so that she would get it for him. Softly she slowed herself, eyeing a rather large bird that stood within the clearing of the pride lands. With extended claws Aleu would stalk along side her pray, waiting for the right time to attack. Little did she know that this was no normal bird, but a large vulture, that had been looking for a bit to eat all day. Right as she moved herself out and at him the large bird snapped and moved its self up into the air; using its large claws to attack Aleu as she came rising up with it; digging a claw into its side. Wincing Aleus eyes closed as the claws from the bird dug past her nose; her actions becoming a bit more forceful as she used all of her upped body to pull the vulture down, before ending its life with a sharp bite to the neck. Panting slightly, blood laced below her eyes as she moved herself back to him, her game within her jaws.

She stood before him, eyeing him, before dropping the lifeless vulture, moving herself to the water hole as she moved to clean her wound, while speaking.*

"Eat it if you want, wouldnt bother me any if you don't..."

Safaia
Dath grumbled as few bits of water were splashed onto his pelt. He could tell that she was scared of him, yet trying to help him. That bugged him, but he didn't much care right now. He was moreso deep in thought then near-death exhaustion, but he didn't feel much like moving. His tail swished against the ground slowly, his breathing a bit shallow, still showing signs that he wasn't near death, also.

When the lioness had plopped a broken up body of a vulture, he eyes her carefully. He wasn't sure if he should take it, for she'd obviously gotten injured by this...but wait, why should he care? He slowly dipped down and went straight for the breast of the bird, where most of the flesh normally was. He only had one half-mouthful before he raised his head, if only slightly, and looked at the female.
"I never caught your name..."

Inside You I Was Reborn

"Aleu.."

*She spoke to him, before using a paw to rub off the blood that rested upon her soft coat. Again a sigh passed her as she moved herself closer to the water, sticking her lower maw and cheeks into it, as if trying to get it all off again. She would have a few claw marks on her, but it was fine with her. He was eating, that was good. Water drops slowly fell from her wet coat as she moved herself back, licking along her nose.

It seemed as though he had become a bit better, but she knew to keep herself from speaking too much, he could snap at her at any given time now. She looked him over as he ate, his wings, horn and gray paws, they all seemed to fit him well. Nodding to herself she spoke out, sitting herself a few feet from him.*

"And your name?"

Safaia
Gobbling up yet another mouthful of the white meat, Dath watched her as she washed off her face. Hmm...that wasn't something he saw too often, and it mildly intrigued him. He tore off another chunk of meat and chewed a bit lazily, until she asked him for his own name. Quickly swallowing down what was in his mouth, Dath shook his head before answering.

"Dathcharu'kai. Supposidly the God of Chaos, but most of the chaos is only in my own mind, and not in ruining things."
He sighed, wishing he hadn't added that on, but too late. Obviously she wasn't seemingly doing anything against him, so perhaps he could trust her just enough until they parted ways. He never stuck with someone too long, that was kinda tacky.

Deciding that he didn't want to eat anymore, Dath shoved the carcass off a bit and scratched at his ear, not bothering to clean off. He didn't have much of a mess on him, anyway. He decided that he should probably explain his anger, but didn't know where to start.

"..so....umm...s-s-sorry about earlier. My mind is a little...off lately..."
He looked away, not wanting to look at her right now. He hated these stupid kind of apologies, but that'd be the best of it. Payback for the bit of food she had given him.

Inside You I Was Reborn
"Its alright. It didnt bother me any. I am just sorry you and your mind cant get along. "

*Aleu nodded and eyed down over at him, before moving her gaze up; the sun beamed down upon them, pushing a blanket of heat upon her fur. She smiled warmly and curled herself up, arching her back as she yawned. With a light nod she gave him a smile, before speaking again.*

"You feel any better?"

*She asked, her tail batting from side to side.*

"If I may ask, what is it that is bothering you so, God of Chaos?"

Safaia
"Hah, so many questions..."
He kept himself in his sitting position, not wanting to lie down as perhaps other might. Even if he was acting pretty damn humble right now, he wouldn't actually lie down and be on the same 'face' as this Aleu.

"I feel a bit better, but it will probably be a while before I'm back to my more... 'normal' self." He gave a little huff, hating on how he spoke, but this was no time for being a smug little twit.

"I've just lost my 'path' as you could call it, I guess. Gods live much differently then you mortals, and emotions aren't normally played with as to how mortals use them. I used to be uncaring, ungrateful, and always plotting on something large. But through this process, I've spent a bit too much time here, and now my 'call' is attacking my mind instead of others."
He forrowed his brow at his explination. It was an odd way of saying this, but he himself was only grasping on what was actually wrong with him.

Inside You I Was Reborn
"Mmm."

*With a slight nod Aleu would listen to him, and disregarded his words that would rather have been to belittle her. She didnt mind, he seemed very closed minded right now. Sighing softly she let a soft gaze pass him, as she sat herself down. She felt very small close to him, but then again, that is what he wanted right?*

"I wish I knew what path I am taking.. I am walking one that I wish I could get away from now.. But its my fate right? I think that with time I can fix what I have wronged."

*Nodding she narrowed her eyes softly, before batting at the grass before her. She wouldnt be sad right now, that wouldnt help anything. Instead she would do what she could to make herself smile, and maybe him along the way.

With a light laugh she moved herself up and slowly followed a small bug that was inching itself away from her, as if to stalk it she let her paws move softly along the ground, before moving to jump at it. The small bug had gotten away though, and Aleu came tumbling to the ground, her body rolling over as she landed upon her head. Frowning she sat up and swore, dusting off her form. She could be a cub when she wanted to.*

Safaia
Dath watched her curiously, his snake-slit eyes shining a bit with mild humor, and a little more curiousity. Like that could ever be fun, pbbt.
Dath arched his back as he gave off a mild yawn, drifting back to thoughts of what she had said.
"You say you have done something wrong. And throwing yourself into something that you don't like is going to help that? I...don't understand."

Inside You I Was Reborn
"...A friend of mine was made into a slave to the.. Firekin pride, and she didnt even know what she was getting into. I mean, she has never been exposed to that type of thing, so she thought that by joning things would be alright, and she would have a pride... She is really just a tool to them, and because I fear her being hurt... I went to get her, only to give myself to them, to make sure she stays safe and has someone with her, always..."

*Sadly Aleu stopped her act and sat down, head hung low. She was doing her damn best to stay off of this subject, because all in all it was fate, and she couldnt beat that. Blue orbs would lace with sadness as she closed her eyes and sighed.*

"I am going to have to see the king, and once I do I will be a slave too but as long as she is alright..."

*Nodding the female pulled her gaze away from him, in tears almost.*

"But as you say to me, I can not understand your high life and problems. I do not think you can grasp this small, meaningless matter in my life."

Safaia
Ahh, but in a way, he thought that he could.

He pondered on her words, leaving a brief silence before he shifted around and spoke.

"Slaves, eh? Seems a little over the top, even for one like me. There's no craft in that, just being flat out demonic."
He flicked his tail and huffed.
"Kind of a disgrace to us who are more on the darker side of the heavens, hmph."

He was quiet yet again, still sinking in the words that she'd spoken. Seemed odd, to try and 'save' someone by signing up for the same exact thing.

"So you're going to dive into the jaws on the proud Firekin pride to try and save your friend? Odd way of doing things..."
He tapped a paw on his maw before looking at her again, wondering if she had anything else to explain.

Inside You I Was Reborn
"If I leave her I can do nothing, but if I am there, with her, and can keep an eye on her, then I can get her out of that place, I just will need time.. and when its right she can run away and I will stay in her place..."

*Aleu nodded and kept her gaze away from him, a soft mew to her tone. This was her first friend, the one that had told her that no matter what they would be close. Aleu woyld keep to this promise and look after her, until she could flee. Her tail slid along side her lower paws as she let her head inch back to the side, as if to keep herself hidden while trying to get rid of her sadness.*

"An eye for an eye. Its like a trade. If she were to be alone and run away they would go after her and harm her for leaving, but if I am still left they will have someone to take her place... Its better if she is safe and happy-- but thats enough of that, it doesn't matter right?"

Safaia
Dath looked at her, and gave out a hearty, if short, laugh.
"I don't think I'll ever understand how mortals feel about things. But if that's what you're set on doing, one little god like me ain't gunna be able to change anything."
Dath shrugged a bit and pulled himself up on his feet, looking over at the female.
"'s long as you don't screw it up, hopefully it'll all work out and you'll stop having to hide your mopeyness. I may not give a big damn about most others, but the mopey aren't as fun to play with, heh."
He then fluttered his wings a bit, just to see if through his little fit he'd sprained them in anyway. They felt a bit stiff, but otherwise alright.
"You going to just loaf around for a while before you get the guts to go, or are you on your way? I've yet to actually see the Firekin lands, and someday I'll go there just to bug." A sly grin broke out on his face, thinking about it.

Inside You I Was Reborn
[[Aleu- Fickle]]

*Frowning she let a muffled swear pass her before speaking.*

"Oh then grate God do tell me why you say I am being mopey? You are acting no better then I am? I have been putting up with your childish fits and anger, how dare you call me mopey- but at least I am doing this out of care and not anger. I can not do a thing, sadly. I am not strong and I have no pride. If I leave and dont fall through with the plan then they will take it out on her and I can not have that. By doing this I would like to think that I set my standers a bit higher then your own."

*She didnt mean to snap at him, but he was pushing at her in such a state and she wouldnt have it.*

"...Can I really stop something that I can not control?"

*She asked, her ears lowering as she moved herself up, slowly inching away from him.*

"I will not bother you anymore, God of Chaos, grace given from you just doesnt seem worth it right now Take care, try to get back into the right mindset so you can walk that path again."

Safaia
Dath raised a brow once more, a little taken aback at her sudden outburst. So, even she could break under pressure. Another thing to note if he ever ran across another accepting lion again.
"My, I was just stating that you seem to faulter in your plan, is all. But it seems to me that perhaps I read into it too deep, and you are just merely doing things your own way. No bother, my 'grace' as you call it is normally as such." He gave a littile acidic touch to his last sentance.
"I will give you a little thanks for what you did for me, but nothing more. I am not one that enjoys these odd sort of debts."
The god gave her a slight bow, turned himself around, and slowly padded off, leaving her with her water hole and half-eaten vulture carcass.
