Gosh I just read the other dream posted in this forum and how he was saying his friends had similar dreams. Well I didn't have a similar one but reading his dream reminded me of one of my older ones.

First off every time I dream it's just like real life. Color, Sound, Taste, Length. I've had dreams that have went on for years (in the span of one night) and I'll wake up being confused because I thought the dream was real.

I'm in India, or so I believed it to be India. Either on just a vacation or some other reason. All the women were wearing brightly colored sari's orange and blue and green all with gold swirls in them and yellowish/golden mesh shawls. And they all had gold ribbon or wire in their hair and their hair done up nicely with it.

It's night time but there are lights and torches everywhere. There are very few street lights, and their more like lamps than lights really, they give off that old whitish yellowish glow. Beside those lights and everywhere else were torches and fires (controlled, like bonfires if you will). The air is very humid but pleasant, and all the fire makes everything dance and swirl in orange/red/yellow.

I'm walking down the street wearing beige/white cotton pants that are very worn in, and a long sleeve white shirt with buttons down the middle. Also I'm barefoot but so was everyone else. The road, well it wasn't pavement but it WAS the road, was cleared of everything and of all people. Some people I passed were dancing and celebrating and everyone was screaming in pleasure and just overly happy.

I loved the atmosphere of this place. The warmth of the fires and the glow they gave off. It was as bright as day but not as clear. Almost as if you were looking through glass that changed the colors of fire. Not only the outward atmosphere but the feeling of the people, they were so happy and celebrative, and even though I was much different than them in appearance they treated me like one of their own.

I walked down the end of the street and stopped by a few cheering men and their fire. For some reason I watched down the road where I had just walked up because...I just did.

Coming down the road was a float, or I think it was a float, with dancing women in their gorgeous costumes all around it. I couldn't make out exactly what was on it until it got closer. The float was decorated so beautifully that it almost brought tears to my eyes. Gold cloth, gold string, gold mesh...Orange and green and blue and just a little red. Diamonds too and white glitter everywhere. The top was shaped sort of like a box, but their were doors to either side that were wide open. Sitting in the middle of the doors was a little girl dressed up with a lot of gold in her hair and I think some gold on her face.

I was so awestruck by the beauty of it all, and my curiousity about the girl, that as the float and it's dancers went on so did I. I followed it down it's path along the road until it stopped and so did I. I found myself standing beside another man from another country. He had either a british or australian accent.

"What are they doing?" I asked breathlessly.

He was maybe six foot, thin, darkly tanned with blue eyes and thick black hair. His hair was short but tossled and sweaty from the fires. Oddly enough he was wearing the same thing I was.

"They rarely ever go through with this ceremony. It's a religious practice I've only ever read about or heard about. I thought I would die without ever truly being able to see it for real."

"So you're a scientist or something?" I asked him.

"I'm a sociological student from (some school in england I can't remember) and I was just sent here because I was the one with the highest test score. Watch!"
He said and pointed back to the float.

I turned my head to look back up at the float. All the women that were dancing were also stopped and looking up at the little girl. Four men in nothing but brightly colored pants, green orange and blue with gold streaks, went up to the little girl. She looked at all of them sadly and then stood up. She only could have been eight years old or so.

"What are they going to do?" I asked as we watched.

"They're going to stick her in that box and then what you see next you will never believe." He replied.

I shrugged and watched on, certain nothing bad would happen, since everything was so beautiful and everyone was so happy. They couldn't be happy to kill a little girl!

The men gently put the little girl inside the box and then shut the doors. The box was not solid and was more made up of poles than walls, so I could still see the little girl.
She looked down at me before something weird happened. As I watched there was some almost weird black fog that surrounded the girl and then I watched as she turned in to a big black cow/buffalo! I was dumbfounded. The man beside me was ecstatic as well as everyone else.

"How did she do that!?" I asked him but he was grinning and absorbed in what would happen next.

The four men that had helped her in the box now each through a torch on the float. It must have been covered in oil or something cause it went up with a poof. All the women that were around it started to scream and make that weird purr noise, rolling their tongue, and dancing more. Still celebrating that they're float is on fire.

The float starting going down the road again and I couldn't help but cry because that cow was once a little girl and soon it would burn with the float. I left the man there as I followed it down the road. As the fire reached in to inside the box and the cow caught on fire, it turned again in to something else, it turned in to a sheep. Oh and how it screeched.

Then I noticed that the man had been following it beside me. He said; "That is why they burned it, because the girl was a shapeshifter, by killing her they are setting their people free from evil. It's the way things work here."

We stopped by a big torch and watched it burn down the road. I just wanted to cover my face in sadness and lean against him but I didn't.

And then I woke up.

KEEP IN MIND...I don't know anything about India or it's religion or what they like other than cows. So It was weird for me that it turned to a cow and they burned it. If you want to interpret this dream feel free too. It sounds like it would be fun to interpret lol. I don't interpret dreams though cause I don't know how.
Did this dream mean anything too? Or was it just a dream?

When you woke up, how did you feel? Tired, sad? etc. etc....? Well, all I could say is keep a diary of dreams. Maybe later on in the future when you read it, you would be able to figure out what it mean, or perhaps it's a regular dreams... could be mix though.
