{concept}
When one thinks of the word "angel", an image of some willowy, doe-eyed and silvery winged thing will usually come to mind. I've played with the idea of an angelic-based character before, but it never really went anywhere. When I found this shop at first I was stuck on ideas, but then it struck me again to consider something of the 'angel' persuasion. So, a little thinking and coasting around on Google, and the idea finally sprang up. Angel cake.
Voila.

__Name Ainsley __Gender Female __Appearance
Eyes Golden Hair Blonde and worn long, fading to white as it goes down Skin Very fair
__Likes Loud and wild parties, blasting music, colorful clothing, being loud, singing, hiding in closets just for the off-chance someone might open the door so she can scream "Boo", sweets __Dislikes Quietness, unfair expectations, being lonely, country music, bitter foods, rules
__Personality Ainsley is in manner a contradiction of her angelic-seeming appearance. She's wild and raucous, and delights in rule breaking. She hardly thinks she'll get away with it unscathed or undisciplined, but she doesn't care - in her mind, rules are not only meant to be broken, but disregarded, trivialized and ignored.
She has a great love for rock music and will dance whenever a song catches her ear, usually with whatever unsuspecting bystander is nearest. Her clothes are unmatched and often torn or dirtied from her myriad misadventures, and she has an abiding adoration for rainbow stripey socks.
Ainsley cares deeply for her family and friends, and the word "shy" is not in her vocabulary. She will just as easily dance and sing with a close friend as she would a complete stranger.
__Abilities
- Illumination: Ainsley sticks to the 'angelic' theme in one point - she can produce light. It should be noted that Ainsley's light is very much like bioluminescence, not magical mystical divine light. If she concentrates hard enough the light can become blinding, making this a power meant for defense rather than offense. The light has no singular source, but instead radiates off her entire body, though with effort she can concentrate the light to emerge from a singular point, like her hands.
__Miscellaneous
- Ainsley's name means "a meadow or clearing" and is Old English/Scottish in origin.
----
Though I'm aiming more for a flatsale than a custom, it's always good to be prepared.
__Custom Form
Sweet Thing Name: Ainsley Gender: Female Flavor: Angel cake Colors: White and golden yellow Physical description for each stage:
Arrival & First Stage: A plain box made out of a white wood, nothing much to look at.
Second Stage: Very long hair done up in gold ribbons, lacy white dress and a translucent-fabric veil-like scarf that billows out behind her.
Third Stage: Hair has reached past knee-length, with the ribbons tattered but remaining. Her dress has been ripped up and no longer makes her look like a china doll - now it's just "artful". The scarf has grown as she has and still billows out behind her like a pennant.
Fourth Stage: Hair is its natural color alongside as many random dyed colors as possible. White clothing has been completely replaced with anything and everything colorful - Chinese mandarin-collar shirts, plaid skirts, etc. The scarf is still there, still veily, and still billowy.
Fifth Stage: Hair is extraordinarily long, dyed practically rainbow, and no longer hosts ribbons. Clothes are vividly colorful, perfectly mismatched and very worn-out and ripped. Scarf is STILL there, most likely clinging for dear life.
Personality: (What I wrote above will be added here) Custom Cert?: No

__About Angel Cake
Angel cake is a type of cake that became popular in the U.S. in the 19th century. It is also called angel food cake as a contrast to chocolate Devil's food cake, but the two cakes are completely different in type. The chocolate, butter-based layer cake appeared at the same general time period, as one of the many new American cakes made possible by the invention of baking powder.
Angel cake differs from many other cakes by its cottony texture and color, which is achieved using only beaten egg whites, white sugar, and white flour. No fat is added, as it will enhance the egg whites' ability to keep the cake from sinking.
The cake requires that the egg whites be whipped until they are stiff, and gently folded into the other ingredients. For this method of leavening to work well, it is useful to have flour that has been made of softer wheat. This - and the lack of fat - causes angel food cake to have a very light texture and taste. It has led some detractors to liken the taste of the cake as well as its appearance to cotton. Angel cake cannot be cut easily with a knife, as a solid blade tends to compress the cake rather than slice it. Forks, serrated knives, or special tined cutters should be used instead.
Angel food cake is usually baked in an angel food cake pan, a tall, round pan with a tube up the center that leaves a hole in the middle of the cake. After baking, the cake pan is inverted while cooling to prevent the cake from falling in on itself. Angel food cake is sometimes frosted but more often has some sort of sauce, such as a sweet fruit sauce, drizzled over it.

__Name Bowen Wynn Carter __Gender Male __Age 23 __Appearance
Eyes Green Hair Naturally brown, dyed black and red Skin Fair, heavily tattooed
__Likes drumming, beaches at night, sleeping, books, movies based on comic books __Dislikes hecklers, drunks, smokers, broken drumsticks, seafood
__History Bowen started out in life as a bookish and oft-times lonely person, on the small and twiggy side and no good at sports or anything else he classified as Stuff Boys Should Do. In high school he thought he had doomed himself to social oblivion by becoming a reclusive bookworm. He was pushed into trying out for sports by his father, and when this dismally failed his mother kindly suggested perhaps Band would be a better choice - if he got in in, hey, he'd still be on the field, right?
Bowen reluctantly tried out for band, and found a blossoming ability with the marching drum. (Not that it was a particularly challenging role, but still. ) Over the next for years Bowen graduated from the beginner's drum, practicing with the school's drum sets and eventually purchasing his own. Happy to have found a niche for himself, during and after high school he joined a myriad number of bands and plied his drumming skill. He currently plays for the local rock band Talking Bones, awaiting his big break into the music business.
__Personality Bowen's personality seems split in two - there's the scowling, singularly focused drummer persona seen onstage, and the easygoing, still a bit shy person that comes through when he's not playing. Bowen looks a bit on the hard side, with multiple tattoos, pierced ears and lip, but he's still the quiet bookworm who will often shun company in favor of a good novel at heart.
__Miscellaneous
- Bowen is of Welsh ancestry.
