-Kami's crimson eyes flickered softly shut once more, a huff of air escaping her as she lounged across the golden rocks. Ta had not come back.. neither to the pridal den nor the small one she'd shared with him not long before. The night and morning had come and gone. And now another morning was slowly wafting along.
Did she really expect him to come back? She hoped he would.. with ever fiber of her being.. but hope and expect for two greatly different things. And that was why her body still lounged in this same spot, having laid down the afternoon before. She was distracted.. and yet somehow it seemed right. She wondered for how long she'd wait to see if he returned. How long before she could pick up the pieces and atleast function in the means necessary of her new title.
Eyes flickering open once more, she let her eyes touch the sky. Wishing that the night would hurry up and come again.. so she could speak to her mother and father.-

His paws continued slowly back to the rock, no matter how much his mind warned of what he would face there. For the past few days, Ta'Ziyan had returned to his cub-hood den, a small hole in the southlands that had once seemed so much larger. His memories of the home were what drew him back, of how he knew not of his mother and not of his past, but simply worked to survive on his future.
And look where he was now.
Shaking his head of the depressing views on his past, he left his goodbyes to his home with his first step back into his new homeland. It was home, he knew that much, and as he passed the waterhole, he went back to the dens that truly were where he belonged. Kami or not, he was at his home, his true place where he belonged, and that is where he would always returned this time.
As each step got closer, the scent of another filtered and tickled his nose, causing him to slow even more. Bags were under his copper eyes, not having slept at all since he left the lands, and he could only blink a few times to clear the clouds before he caught sight of the goddess before him. The goddess that was not quite and golden as she once seemed. Shaking his head, he paused and lifted it slowly.

-It was only pure luck that her eyes drifted downward in time to catch the familar copper pelt. But when they did she blinked visably, trying to dechiper whether it was him or simply a trick of her mind and the sun. But the image did not fade, and all the sudden that same flutter of her heart, and nervous twist of her stomach resurfaced.
She wanted to get up.. fling herself at him and curl within that thick mane of his.. and cry away the worries she'd had of him not coming back. But was he back because of that? Because he was forgiving her?
Or was he back for another reason?
Lifting herself softly, simply so that he'd know her attention was on him, she sat silently, though it was obvious by her eyes, and the soft flip of her tail that their was hope beneath that nervousness.-

He just stared silently for a long moment, his eyes sunken slightly from no sleep as his mind shut off from all thoughts. Eventually, as she looked down at him and just stood there, he began to think once again, and his eyes lowered so bangs obstructed her from viewing his face. The advantage of any sort of angle was that each could hide from eachother quite easily, and he decided it was still time for him to hide the best he could.
He had no idea why, but already he was shying away. Maybe it was the lack of trust between them, or maybe it was just because before they hid from eachother as well, but once more he decided to hide in the darkness of his cave, the security of his past more welcoming than the thoughts of his Kami with another.
Than, as he walked below the rock and towards their den, he realized just what was bothering him, and all at once his steps stopped and he let out one ragged breath. He was jelous, jelous that some no-face male had taken his Kami and left her with cubs. Also, he was angry she had to give away family, family that had he been the father, he would have worked his hardest for them to know their mother, since he never knew his own.
So he stood there, debating hiding, or going up to confront Kami and set things right once and for all. The decisions were between himself, and someone else entirely.

-But he didn't come to her, instead he slipped away and out her sight, and in that moment her heart sank like a stone thrown into a pond.
Her fears had been realized.. and how could she be so stupid. She knew how he loved these lands.. how often he'd spoke of how wonderful they were. About traveling just so he could come back and enjoy these lands even more.
He hadn't come for her.. He'd come back for his home. And now the future that lay before her was one with him around but never there. A future where she was a queen and her only tie to him was to make sure that he was safe.. Him and any family he might sire in that familar little den near the bottom of the rocks.
She wanted to cry.. but instead she slid once more to her belly in defeat. Childishness taking her over as she crept to the edge of the rock ledging, letting her head hang over to try and catch sight of him once more.-

Once more Ta waited several, long minutes, his heart heavy and weighing down his shoulders to an unimaginable pain. However, inside his mind he was debating, scaling out the pros and cons as to his choice of going up, or staying down. After a long second, he made his dicision, and his paws moved once again.
She had come for him, so now it was his turn to go for her. And so it was decided, he would discover her and redeem his claim, in the most non-dominating way possible of course.
There he went up the rocks, making his way and thanking whoever was above that no one was around that early in the morning. And as he got to the top of the spance, right before the dens, his eyes trailed to where Kami had lied back down. Stilling after every few steps, he tried to control his breath until he could move no further, and waited.

-Eyes turned gently at the sound of his ascent, surprise lacing her features after the thoughts that'd been swallowing her before. He HAD come.. For what purpose she didn't know, but he had.
Turning gently, she stayed laid across her belly, a soft and subconcious sign of submission towards whatever the copper male had brought for her. But softly her voice called out, stronger then she'd imagined it might.- "Hello Ta.."

Watching her slowly as she turned, he just stared until her words came out, and he detected every single hint that followed. Letting out a rough sigh, his head turned to the side so he could look to the distance, silently thinking, before turning back.
"I would like to speak with you Kami...hopefully somewhere alone." It was soft, controled, and as his eyes shifted to the awakening pride, his body seemed to fidget as well. Of all things, he wanted what he said to be private, and for no rumors to spread over simple misunderstandings.

-Nodding softly, she took great efforts to lift her body, letting the sore muscles strech before she took a single step forward, eyes casting towards the savannah in return.- "Alright then.."
"Th... Your den? Or perhaps somewhere further into the savannah?"
-A few more steps drew her closer as she awaited his decision, auburn tail curled lowly beneath her.-

He pondered over the choices silently, looking past her towards the copper flowing sea that was the pridelands. Thinking over the needed amount of time, he just shook his head to get back to reality and looked back towards her with a serious expression.
"Lets find someplace in the Savannah...the rocks are too dark at this time in the morning with the shadows covering all of the entrance..." trailing off into a pathetic mumble, he just shook his head once again before turning and moving a few slow steps.

-Her steps were slow at first, her muscles loosening as the well needed excersize relaxed her weary body. But soon enough they quickened, until she'd almost over taken Ta.
The wait.. and thinking about what words he might be planning to say would only drive her crazy. The sooner then occured, the better. And then she did overtake him, slipping to the side of the rocks as she readied herself to step down the stones to the savanneh below.-
"Perhaps out near where we used to play? There were never many herds there.. so I don't think any would happen upon us while out hunting."

"As you wish..." He murmered distracted, going over the soon to be conversation in his mind. With a set frown, he failed to see Kami pass him until he heard her paws on the rocky path. Glancing up, he quickly moved after her until they reached the grasses, and once more moved to the lead.
He could see she was in a rush to get it over with, and as he passed her, he gave her a soft smile.
"Be yourself, would you...you're making me nervous..." And while it was meant to be a joke, his tone was grim and his smile thin, however, his eyes grew softer as he tried to make things easier yet.

-The softest hint of a smile touched her at his words, disreguarding how stressed they sounded. It was slightly comforting.. to hear the words nervous uttered, with how often that same emotion had been eating her up over the past few days.
And she oblidged him softly, letting him take the lead once more as she fell in step a length behind him. When he was in her sight she felt the urge to say something.. but she fought off the urge the best she could manage. Soon enough. After whatever he should have to say.
Letting the sun bake at her golden pelt, she trudged softly along behind him, trying hard not to think of things he might say.. or things she should say herself.-

And so they moved on in silence, his paws and hers both padding through the grasses and over the slight hills of the Pridelands. The path was set in his memory now, something he would never forget with each passing month or year.
And soon enough, they arrived, on the same hills of their past and what would hopefully stick in the future with family to come. Pausing a second, he just looked on with a soft, whistful smile. However, he quickly turned his eyes towards Kami and silently waited for any sign that she was as ready, for he doubted he could ever be.

-As the reached the familar hills of their youngest days, Kami let forth a silent sigh. One of rememberance and worry.
And softly she settled herself down, resting on her haunches in a silent promise not to run as she had so often in the past when things got tough and things she didn't want to hear touched the air.
Tail curling gently around her paws for comfort, she lifted her ears softly forward towards him, eyes dropped to the ground like the days of her youth.-
