I live in America, and I know some of the teachers in my classes allowed "words" like "cuz" and "b/w" (for 'between') and other words like that in tests and papers...

As a New Zealander In our final assembly our dean told us that NO 'txt tlk' is not allowed in the exams and we would be automatically failed if we used it! Go our school!
P.S I go to Wellington High School.
