The little clearing was almost idyllic. A frame of trees, with moss and vines hanging from the branches. Inside that little frame was tons of flowers. None were the special flowers that represented each lion in the plains. These were normal, in the vibrant colors of yellow, red, pink, with splashes of white and green. It was his place, were he came when he couldn't stand to be around anyone else. Even his sister.
Seeing his brother again with his mate... He was truly happy for him. Nitarin deserved a good mate, a true lover. Just as his sister did. Asakori was in no hurry himself. Only he felt lonely. Really, his sister didn't count. She was his sister after all!
The maroon male curled up, his gold-marked feathers laying over his face. He'd stay here for a little bit and then go home.

PyreDancer wound her way among the trees, smiling and relaxed in the silence of the woods. Her pyreflies danced lazily about her, drawing some of her attention to their slow dance as wandered to nowhere in particular. Tossing her head to move her mane out of her eyes, she gave a flick of her tail and began to hum a song her sister had taught her in their youth. Songstress was aptly named, and even though Pyre could not sing as well as her sister, she could not help but join in once Tess started. "I know that you're hiding things, using gentle words to shelter me, your words were like a dream.. But dreams could never fool me.. Not that easily..." In the quite forest, her soft voice wound around the trees and rode on the breeze. The crystal silence supported her song rather than isolated it.

He heard the sweet voice through the trees. It floated on the air, sliding around him. A angelic voice. He'd heard it before somewhere. Asakori uncurled, gaining his feet. Was it...?
"Pyre?" He called out. Paws carried him into the forest. "Pyre?" Sweet scent and voice let him follow the lionesses trail.

It is amazing how a single sound can squash crystalline perfection. For at the sound of another lion, Pyre gave a soft squeek and ceased singing instantly. She was shy about her voice, convinced that only Tess should sing, so when others were around, she didn't. The voice that had called her name, well, her shorter name, was one familiar to her. Asakori, one of the few outside her own family she had spoken to, was somewhere in the woods. Halting in her wanderings, she gave a toss of her head, her mane falling alluringly into her eyes. Pyre's charm was unintentional, her allure part of her natural self. She didn't have to do anything, she just was. "Asakori?" She ask, pitching her melodic voice to carry. "Asa, is that you?"

Asa found her with a wide smile. "It's me, Pyre." The lioness was greeted with a soft purr and a nuzzle. "I have missed you."
"What are you doing out here by yourself?" Eyes darted over the shadows. Who knew if there were rogue lions or hyena's out there.

Usually very reserved, PyreDancer stepped forward with a grin and nuzzled him back. "Me?" She blushed and ducked her head. "Why would you miss me?" Glancing around the woods, she gave a shrug. "I went for a walk.. I didn't really want to be in the Pride Lands today, so I just went wandering.. I do that more often then not.."

The large male turned his head away. Hiding the darker patches of maroon on his face. "You're interesting to talk to, and very beautiful. Why wouldn't I miss you?" There was a charming smile on his face when he turned back to her. "I know of a place you could come to when you don't want to be in the Lands." It was his secret place, but he was willing to open it to her.

Pyre would have blushed, but her dark coat saved her from it. Still, she ducked her head shyly and batted at a small white flower with a forepaw. "Oh.. I'm not all that grand... Really..." She eyed him in curiosity, wondering what place he was talking about. A secret grove perhaps? Getting the best of herself, she nodded. "I would very much like to see it, Asa..."

His nose was touched briefly to hers. "Follow me then." Asakori lead her back the way he had come. Hummed a tune under his breath, paws light. He felt better now. Just being in the lionesses presence made him feel so much lighter. Eased his worries for a while. Until she left.

Pyre resisted the urge to lean on Asa, and followed him with interested eyes. She glanced around at the trees they passed, trying to make a mental map on how to get wherever he was leading her.. In case she wanted to come back later. Also paying attention to the feel of the ground beneath her paws, she knew she could make it back here if she were blind, this place felt.. Right? Familiar? "Of course." She murmured.

Another smile was tossed back. "We're here." The lion pushed aside the vines with a paw. Bowed lowly. "After you, Lady Pyre." He was a bit... nervous about her reaction to his hideaway. Would she like it? Was it too... flowery for a male to be hiding in?

With a smile, Pyre moved through the vine-curtain and into the clearing. The unexpected carpet of flowers made her smile, and she paced to the center of the clearing before bowing her head and inhaling their sweet smell. Turning her eyes to Asa over the petals of a white blossum, she blinked shyly. "Its.. Wonderful here." She murmured. "You're so lucky to have your own sanctuary.."

Asakori watched the femme look over the clearing. He was proud that she liked it... as odd as that feeling was. "If you want... you can come here to." The vine curtian fell back into place behind him. He stepped carefully, moving to her side. "I don't mind sharing with you."

Pyre lifted her head and eyed him in surprise. "Are you sure? I wouldn't want to intrude on your own private place..." She glanced around the clearing. "On the other paw, its very nice here, and I would love to come back... Its peaceful..." She glanced around the clearing, eyes dancing over the different flowers, the circle of trees, and the vine wall. It was secluded, yet, she felt welcome here, even safe.
