gah! I have tried everything and I just can't get it to work.Its really anoying me because I am so sick of pears,please help.

Actually just plant them next to the sand by the beach, right next to it and plant the coconut there. You don't have to water any trees to add in. Trees can grow without watering. You just have to wait the four days for it to fully mature. Coconuts produce two fruits each cycle (like two days or something).
So yeah, just plant them next to the sand, but still on the grass and they will grow. About 95% of the time. There are spots around your village where trees will never grow no matter what you do.

Plant them in the beach area. Keep them within two spaces from objects like houses, rocks, other trees, etc. They don't need watering. It's all about the location.
