Tiny hoofs hit the grassy lands roughly, she was racing against a fly which was way ahead of her. "I'm going to get cha'!" THUMP! The young foal ran right into a tree, a few leaves got loose and floated down towards the filly. Sitting up straight, she shook her head for a bit. then looked up to a tree that was huge and tall, it's body was so big, Zeda probably had to take a lot of steps before able to fully go around the tree trunk.
Her eyes swifted to look at a bird sitting on a small lower tree branch on another tree. Troting towards it, the bird was close but not close enough for her to take a little bite at it. It looked like somethign to eat. Maybe not. After a while, she lost interest in the reptile. Sighing, there wasn't anything to do.

Thump!
Her ears swivelled at the sound and arching a brow, the mare turned her head in the direction of the sound. Now, there weren't many things that made that type of noise and she was farily certain that foxes didn't smack into trees on a regular basis - perhaps something had fallen out of it?
Casting her mind back to the types of creatures that lurked within the trees, a brief sense of worry floated into her mind as she thought of the potentially injured raccoons that may now be lying at the base of the tree, she felt almost obligated to check to ensure nothing was wrong.
"Ho there!" Moving forward at a swift walk she kept her grey eyes trained upon the expanse a distance away, until at last she saw the tree...and the foal.
"Well now." She murmured thoughtfully as she canted her head to the side, "You aren't a raccoon..."

Flicking her tail from side to side, she snorted. "No, do I look like one?" Zeda definetly did not like being called another animal when clearly she was a filly. "Who are you?" Her rude attitude might prevent her from getting any friends but she didn't care. As this is the filly who would just relax and leave everything until the last minute.
This mare who stood before her didn't look mean, so Zeda decided to relax herself and maybe go easy on her. Instead of blowing up and yelling at a innocent mare.

"Perhaps you do, you are almost as small as one and seem to possess the same personality as most." Yei's eyes twinkled slightly at the indignant tone in the filly's voice. She had encountered quite a few grumpy foals and could only assume that the majority of them were raised by equally, if not more, ignorant parents.
"All you need is the nuts to throw at my head and I should think that you would make a good raccoon." Yei continued as she moved around the tree and calmly glanced down towards the fallen leaves at its base, due to the sheer number she seemed to have taken quite a bump to the head.
"Are you alright? You seem to have taken a bit of a nasty bump."

Turning the other way, she moved her head to look over her shoulder back at Yei. "I'm not a raccon and never will be one..." Zeda started taking a few steps foward towards a flower on the ground. "I'm fine. You don't see any blood now do you?"
Facing foward again, her feet started moving aross the land. Towards the river to wash the mud that were stuck on her hooves and on the side of her rump, covering her rainbow skull. Reaching the river after a while, the filly dipped in and let the water rush by, she gently shook her hooves to let the mud wash off.
Her mind thought of all the things she had seen when she first came out of her basket. Grandma NightShade was someone she admired, she sometimes mistaken Shade as her own mother instead of Awnaety, her actual mother. Mother was there to help teach her certain things, but Grandma was the one to teach her the dark side. Plus he sister is already dark enough, Zeda herself wanted to be just as evil. It seemed fun, but she was young to understand it wasn't the nicest thing.

Yei relented, apparently the filly was not as bright as some of the others she had encountered. Either that, or the young filly was more determined to come off as 'tough' than she was to admit that she may have been in a little bit of pain but the mare could understand that, it seemed to be becoming a more common feature in the Kawani lands.
"You do not always need to be bleeding to be aware of the fact that you have hurt yourself." Yei pointed out wisely as she moved forward, keeping a reasonable distance from the filly as she sought any signs of injury but the mare really did seem alright, with the exception of a little broken pride.
"And you know, swimming would probably remove the mud quicker." She added gently.

Zeda watched the mare. She following me?... "I think I know that it'll come off quicker. That is why I'm doing this," after washing off the dirt, she got out and shook herself as hard as she can. Sending the droplets flying aross the place. She didn't care if any hit this other mare or not.
"Who are you?" it annoyed Zeda that she had to ask this questions twice, she had asked it once and this mare has ignored it. Raising her eyebrow at the red female. Waiting for the answer patiently, not that it mattered to her. Felt really wierd being followed by someone and you don't even know who they are. "Well..."

"If I told you, do you think that it would honestly make a difference?" The mare was already all too aware of the filly's disapproval of her presence and had long since decided that this young one required a little education - not brutal, but enough to realise that there were some individuals who would not meet her demands, nor sink to her level.
"You would still be as indignant, would still view me with hostility and a wise individual would keep their name to themselves for safety's sake." Allowing a smile to flick on to her lips, the mare closed her eyes and allowed the droplets of water to caress her cheeks, if anything, they were refreshing.
"But if you must know, I am referred to by many names..." Swivelling her ears, she at last opened her grey eyes once more and continued to observe the young filly, one who would no doubt grow to be a handful in later life, "But 'Wanderer' is how I am most often referred to, young one."

She was still new to the lands. Speaking was still hard for her, the mare spoke many long words. Zeda had no idea what any of them meant, she turned and started walking at the edge of the river. Stopping at a certain point, she turned again and walked back, repeating this over and over. Acting like she didn't care what the mare had just said, even though her head is confused and full of long words that she didn't know the meaning to.
If this 'wanderer' wasn't going to tell her name, then why should she. Keeping her mouth shut not saying any words until the silence annoyed her. Zeda never liked silence. "Well, I shall call you wanderer then..." Whatever that means... Doing one final turn away from the mare, she didn't stop at the point where she stopped before to walk back, instead she kept on walking to see if the mare followed. Maybe this mare will soon define these words she had used. Uhg...my head feels dizzy... Thinking too much was something this filly can't do.

"So be it." Yei replied calmly, the small smile never leaving her lips as she trailed after the filly at quite a distance. It seemed that her response had silenced the young filly and had given her something to consider as opposed to simply mouthing off whenever she felt like it. Perhaps in the future, when she was brave enough to ask or had taken the time to understand what the mare had said...she would appreciate it and maybe, develop some manners.
Nevertheless, she chose to follow the young filly along the river to ensure that she did not fall in and flounder at the deepest ends - rude as the young one mig have been, the mare always felt compelled to protect those who were more vulnerable than her until the day when they could care for themselves.
That didn't mean she would talk though.

Yet again silence was killing her. Is there nothing to talk about... Subjects and ideas rushed through her mind, it was afterall her first time actually chatting with another besides her family. Taking a deep breath in, maybe it was time for her to say something first. "Is there anything that I should know about around here?" she examined some berries on a bush, then quickly runing over to a small fir tree covered in frost. Winter was soon coming.
What do these soquilis do for fun? Do they just walk on and on? Zeda had many questions to ask, her curiousity is making her care, even though she isn't the type to likely to. "Got any family here?" seems like the only way to start conversations, is to ask questions, that is what Zeda thought. The word 'family' echoed into the ditance before them. A few birds flew up into the sky and flew south.

"No, my family live beyond the mountainside." Smiling faintly, Yei was rather impressed that the young filly was at least trying to make an effort. Despite her ignorance there may yet be hope for the young one and for that reason she would at least provide her with a little material to go on, "I think." She added after a few moments contemplation.
"And that depends, what would you like to know about?" She replied to the first question, swivelling her ears as she quickened her pace to walk slightly closer to the smaller soquili, "What others deem as important isn't always what you would view as important, it is better to be specific..." She continued before clearing her throat and casting her gaze towards the berry bushes.
...Soon, they would have no berries on them.

Once again, more longer words filled her tiny head. Stopping in her tracks and turnign around with a confused look, then sighign and facing front again. Just lifting her hoofs, it almost looked like she was ready to race off. Suddenly, Zeda realised this current spot wasn't so bad. She stood still and sniffed the air.
"Well...uh...tell me about these places...where am I?" her eyes traveled across the area but nothin was familiar. There were trees everywhere and a river the were walking beside. The water made a splashing sound each time when it would run into a rock. "Plus about the soquilis here..." nodding. That was one subject she definetly wanted to learn about. More about the ones who were here before her.
The scent in the air had over a million different soquilis' odor in it. How can she tell whos is whos. It seemed like a lot of work to look for one certain mare or stallion on this huge island. Everything was of course more larger, since Zeda herself wasn't yet a full grown. She was only a filly, one that wasn't too big, but not too small neither.

"Well..." Yei paused and took a few moments to observe the surrounding area, taking in each of the landmarks that she often used to take note of her own whereabouts - it made it easier to give directions when they were called for as well.
"We appear to be on the edge of the Kawani Forest, closest to the Clearings." She mused thoughtfully, flicking her long tail against her rump and clucking her tongue. She had stated to the obvious but it had been a while since she had last been so close to the Clearing and as a result, it took her a while to remember where everything was.
"To the north of us..." She motioned with her head in the appropriate direction, "Lies the beach, at present the foreign soquili live there, they come from a different land than us." She explained and offered a small smile, "They wear rather peculiar clothes as well."
She then motioned southwards in the direction of the Kawani village, pausing for a few moments to consider the most appropriate way of approaching this one. "To the south lies the Kawani Village, the two-leggers live there...I would advise caution in going though, at least for a little while." She began at last, a small grimace creeping on to her features as the memory of the vandalised graveyard flickered in to her mind.
"Some are a little suspicious of us at the moment I am afraid, and the graveyard is disturbed by angry spirits so it poses quite a bit of danger to one so young as yourself." She released a chuckle and shook her head, well aware that 'don't' often meant 'do' in the language of a foal, "That is not to say you can't visit it when you are stronger and able to battle the predators lurking within it though." She finished.
"As for the soquili of these lands, there are many...far too many to explain without you growing bored. There are those that resemble insects -" She paused and motioned to a bumblebee as it struggled to gather the remaining pollen for winter, "And have wings as such." She continued, "Then there are those that are like the birds and possess feathered wings. Those who are like the bats who possess leathery wings and some even have horns - the type of soquili in this region is vast."
She fell silent for a few moments and then calmly lowered her head to n** a leaf from the top of one of the berry bushes, she didn't have a particularly sweet tooth so she was satisfied by the juicy leaves instead.
"You can usually find soquili around this area or within the forest though, few would roam in the mountains as it is too cold for them." She smiled faintly, almost as if she found the words to be sad or a little painful, "And some will be kind to you while others will be less than happy with your company, it is really the luck of the draw I suppose." She mused quitely.

That was it, this mare kept talking on and on. Halfway of her speech Zeda was daydreaming about why does it have to snow here. Can't it all just be summer. In Zeda's opinions, she hated snow, it may look fun but the cold never helped, and how she could slide across ice easily. She knew all this only because her mother had told her that hooves and ice equals not good when they meet each other. Mothers always liked to warn their foals before it was too late, also especially when winter is coming quite quickly.
"Uh...okay." blinking at the mare. Zeda knew it was obivious her head was in space. "Well, glad to at least get an idea of this place," smiling. It was most likely her first time to smile so far with this female around. Sniffing the ground, her nose quickly hit a rock covered by fallen colorful leaves. This there was a good question in Zeda's mind to ask the mare. Although she knew more longer words are going to be told and said. "Why do seasons come? Why can't it just stay as summer?"
Sighing at the wind brushing against her body. Glancing up at the sky, there weren't many sunny days anymore. Winter was comign and they didn't have snow covering the ground yet, so big huge grey clouds always covered the usual beautiful blue sky. The sun came out rarely, sometimes it would come when least expected.
