I am going to Otakon this coming year as Orochimaru from Naruto. I don't think I"ll have a problem with the outfit, but does anyone know a good quality makeup to use for his white skin and the purple around his eyes?

Here is a pic just for reference:

=0 You could use a really pale powder, but I would keep it with me if I were you. It would come off easily. Either that, or buy white face make-up for like vampires or something.

!! Kuo loves Iceman! <33 (In reference to you siggy. >.>)

You'll probably be sweating it off like crazy so carry a hankie or something around as well.

*Chuckle* Halloween make-up REALLY does the trick (I was a mime for a couple of years, so trust me, it works).

My advice when you do it though:

Apply lotion as a base BEFORE the actual make-up. It helps when taking it off at the end of the day.

I also agree with taking a hanky or wash cloth (something of the nature), as well as some extra costume make-up with you if you need to do touch-ups during the day (chances are you may).

...I think that's it. smile Good luck!

I actually found some really good quality eyeliner at Wallgreens. It was purple, too. <3 I forget the brand time, but it stays on for quite a while, even when you wear contacts. I'll check next time I go upstairs.

EDIT: It's Kohl Kajahl-- Jordana.

It's purple and the regular pecil kind. It's pretty cheap, too. Only like... $1.75. XD

Well, as I was thinking about my costume some more, I discovered a new problem gonk I have absolutely no clue when I should put my make-up on. Since I live only about an hour away from Baltimore I always just drive there, so I don't know if I should put on all the white make-up before I leave, or wait until when I get there....any opinions would be a great help!

I personally get ready BEFORE going. That way you can just walk right into the convention and be ready for the masses. xd

Lol, yeah that was my initial idea, but then I thought that I'll probably get hot in the car even with air conditioning and i want to preserve my make-up as much as possible sice I'll have to re-apply all the time. So as you can see, I can't stop arguing between the two, lol. sweatdrop
