[[PRP between Yei Umeko and Mozen, don't post unless you're invited please!]]
The leaves were all a funny colour, all different shades and most of them looked like her! Taking this in to consideration, Yei continued to observe the reddened leaves as they slowly drifted from their branches to the forest floor with not even a whisper of a sound. Despite their apparent lack of strength against the approaching winter winds, the beauty in their demise was utterly fascinating.
She'd never noticed it before because the trees on the mountainsides very rarely turned funny colours, they simply lost their needles and that was that, it was usually quite loud too.
"Pretty." She murmured appreciatively as she sniffed at one of the leaves curiously, soon the forest would be bare, but for now she could marvel at the beauty that took place in the transition between summer and winter, couldn't she?

What a strange new season this was turning out to. Even though this land was nothing like his own home land, the thought of the strange trees and plants turning different shades of colors in transition to the time of the month boggled Mozenrath's mind. He had heard of it before, but never experianced it in his time. The desert was his home and vastly different from these planes and forests. Quite interesting non the less.
His mind wandered back and forth as to how this all could be accomplished. Surely it was because of weather changes, but what exactly made this much of a drastic impact upon the weather to make these plants shrivle and fall from their branches? Certainly not the heat like there was in the desert as the days were growing shorter and the wind colder.
Marveling at the sights around him in the forest, Mozenrath wandered aimlessly for a while. His long tail and cape flowing behind him as he walked. A pale, white face standing out amungst his dark features and clotheing. What an interesting time this was....he would have to learn more about it. Maybe he could use this to his advantage.
Soon his wandering brought him upon the presance of a mare. After his last few incounters with them he decided perhaps it was best to stay away from them for a while. Seek out some stallions. One mare was nothing but a nosey story teller trying to get information from him, probably to spoil his plans. The other, an arrogant brown mare who thought she was too good for anyone and made it a habit to point out that he was comeing too close to her land. What trash that one was. He didn't care though, not everyone who just arrives is suppose to know where other Soquili's territory is the exact moment they get here. Even when he hadn't met many Soquili to really know anyway.
Even though, he watched her from the shadows as he passed by, keeping a dark eye on her to see if she noticed him or not. If not, then he would more than likely continue on his way. If she did, well...then he'd have to put up with whatever she was shoveling out.

She didn't hear it at first, the delicate hoof beats muffled by the thickening leaf fall upon the forest floor, but, eventually when she was satisfied with her observation of the leaves beneath her, she became aware of the foreign sound. She'd never heard that type of hoof beat before, it was a strange one with the occasional 'shh' as though somethign was drifting along the ground behind it.
Lifting her head, she allowed her grey eyes to move slowly, surveying the forest around her immediate proximity. There were no soquili within the visible, light speckled areas so she could only assume that whatever individual may be around was quite obviously hidden in the shadows.
Why did they always do that?
Shifting her weight as she swivelled her ears around to where the sound had came from, she allowed herself to squint in the hope of seeing the individual and eventually, she saw what looked to be some form of robe.
"Paramekia, is that you?" She enquired curiously, due to her inability to see the colour of his robes clearly, she could only take a guess at who he was.

Hmmm. So she was being observant of her surroundings and not lost in a daze. Interesting enough. As she called out some strange name, he raised a thick, brown eyebrow and shook his head. Moveing towards her, he stepped half way into the sunlight of the area she was in. As he did so, the ruby jewel that adorned his turban sparkled from the light that shon upon it. A flick of his tail had moved his cape back a bit more so that he did not trip on it.
"I'm afraid I'm not this Paramekia thing that you think I could be...." The shadows behind him seemed to exentuate his dark features, makeing his pale, white face stand out even more. Blowing a short breath, he moved some of the black, slightly curled hair that stuck out from underneath his turban out of his face.

"Oh." Yei seemed to have had her nose knocked slightly out of joint by the stallion's reply and for a while she was quiet. Instead of retaliating with a particularly smart comment she simply observed his peculiar clothing and conceeded that it was actually rather pleasant on the eye, even if she did think those cape things were very odd.
"Well good." She mused at last, reflecting on the fact that if it had been Paramekia then there was a good chance they would be arguing at one another from the moment he walked into the clearing, instead, she was actually in a rather relaxed stance.
Even so, there was something about this stallion that she couldn't quite place.
"Even though Paramekia is a stallion and not so much a 'thing'..." She added as an after thought before her eyes at last lifted to admire the ruby on his turban, it was the same colour as her and for a moment, she glowed with pride!
"You have good taste." She finished at last.

"Good? Why is it good that I am not this Paramekia stallion that you refer to? Do you have some sort of angst towards him?" As he spoke, he moved furthur out of the shadows so that she could see him fully. His tail giveing a few flicks side to side as he walked then stopped short.
Good taste? What exactly did she mean by good taste? "I'm afraid I don't quite understand that expression. Is it a term you Soquili from these lands use to express some sort of opinion?" Normally in his homeland, there weren't such comments used. Or atleast not that he knew of. As rarely anyone used comments in his kingdom, as all but him and Xerxes were Mamlucks.
The ruby jewel seemed to sparkly more as Yei admired it, almost as if it had it's own presance in itself. Mozenrath was cunning and deceitful, often giveing off an impression that others wouldn't peg his normal personality for. The last two times had failed...stupid mares. Why were they like this in this land? They were much more demure in the desert....hmmm. It would be something he'd have to figure out soon or it might jeopardize his plans. "Forgive me..." He bowed his head low over his knee, black hair falling onto his forehead. "My name is Mozenrath and you are?"

There was something about those dark features against such a pale complexion that caused a pleasant shiver to run down her spine. It wasn't that she was so easily seduced but there was something that grasped and tugged at her insides each time she saw a powerful and confident stallion - in a way, the illogical and foolish side of her was drawn to it.
This desire became even more so as he bowed to her and for a few moments she fell into silence again, taking into consideration, exactly what stood before her. Like Paramekia he was garbed and held a rather strange glint in his eye, thus he couldn't be trusted and yet he hadn't yet patronised her so she could only assume he was a different type of 'evil'.
"Within the forests and upon the slopes they refer to me as Yei Umeko." She introduced herself at last with a bow of her head, "And in answer to your pevious questions, "Paramekia and I hold differing views on many issues, we argue frequently - and good taste, refers to your choice in colours when it comes to the stone on your peculiar head dress."

He had lifted his head before she had started to spoke and watched her closely, nodding his head lightly at her responces. "Ah, I see. Doesn't sound like too nice of a guy to be argueing with someone such as you..."
Closeing his eyes for a moment, he thought to himself. Hmmm, maybe a new tact would be needed for his plans. He would try some new tricks here and there depending on the situation. "Yei Umeko. Quite a lovely name you have." He looked up momentarily and smiled lightly. "Ah yes, the red stone. It does kind of stand out amungst the rest of what I wear. Though it is quite lovely...infact, it kind of has the same color as you have yourself..."
Mozenrath adjusted his feet for a moment. Switching the weight of his body around so that he could stand more comfortably. Blowing another breath past his lips, he moved the black hair that has fallen onto his forehead when he bowed out of the way.

"That was why I said that you had good taste." Yei replied in an almost demure fashion, giving a slight shake of her head to shift the long forelock from her eyes. It seemed that in some form, she was determiend to come across as both presentable and desirable to this stallion - perhaps it was due to the repeatitive insults upon her appearance from others.
"But I thank you for the compliment, I assure you it will not be forgotten." She added, releasing a small 'huff' of warm air as she continued to observe him. He was right, the gem stood out a lot more against his peculiar robes and every now and then her eyes kept drifting to it, as if it were enchanted...
"You will be pleased to know you are suitably better company than the aforementioned stallion, although, quite similar to him in some ways - where do you heed from stranger?"

"You are most welcome my dear, Yei." The corners of his mouth seemed to curl slightly as his eyes glittered. Seemed it was working, how interesting. Perhaps some of the mares around here could be swayed easily. That was good news for him. He would make a niche and fade into the background slightly...and once chaos insued...he would probably be the last to be thought of untill he revealed himself.
Snapping out of his thoughts for the moment. "Then I am quite pleased..." He took a breath of fresh air before he continued speaking. It seemed like he had talked about where he was from many times before to strangers who were either curious or nosey. But he shrugged mentally about it and went about the story again. "I come from the Land of the Black Sand. It's a very lovely place in the desert which is upon a land far, far away from here. Like a diamond in the rough...as most things or...others are." Which was...in actuality completly opposite of what it truely was. It was a dark and dismal place with Mamlucks hobbling about.

Now where had she heard this story before? A small smile flicked on to her lips to indicate that she wasn't as stunned by his story as any other mare might have been. In fact, she already knew quite a few stallions who had come from lands afar - for example, Paramekia had come from across the mountains and Cloud had come from the desert.
"It seems many of those who have chosen to bare strange cloth originate from the desert, am I to assume that it is part of your culture?" Releasing a chuckle she shifted her weight, choosing to ignore the gentle 'clink' of the beads around her neck. As enchanting as that jewel might have been she had managed to return her gaze to his dark features and was now concentrating on trying to figure out what he was up to.
...Nobody with that glint was up to anything good or desirable.
"And how far are these lands, I should like to see them one day."

Nodding his head slightly, he tilted his head a bit. "Yes. It is very hot in the day time and freezing cold at night from where I come. It may seem strange but these clothes keep us cool and warm at the same time..."
He figured he had layed on enough of the sweet talk for now. Or atleast what he considered it to be. These Soquili seemed to be easy to manipulate...atleast some of them anyway. "They are very far away I'm afraid. Across a large ocean then furthur inland....maybe I will take you to see it one day..." If he decided to leave these lands that was.
Mozenrath felt that much was ripe for the takeing here. A lot had been untouched and spoiled by the hands of greedy two leggers. And would make a wonderful addition to his kingdom. The thought of these lands drowned in black sand excited him, but he did not show it on the surface.

"I see..." A part of Yei couldn't help but glance at her own thick coat, it kept her warm and yet also kept her relatively cool during the day when she needed it most. So why was it that these horses needed clothes, did their fur not get thicker as it got colder or something?
Awww...no wonder some were so bitter!
"So how did you get here if you needed to get across the ocean, that's very far away you know." She pointed out gently, wondeirng how any one could swim that far. It wasn't as if he had wings to fly across and he didn't look like he could breathe under water either.
Sooo....how did he do it?

Mozenrath chuckled lightly and gave her an almost 'are you serious look'. "I came over by means of a large boat. I'm afraid I don't have the things needed to fly or breath underwater, so that was my only means of travel to get here...."
He flicked an ear once and began thinking to himself again before speaking. "Though I'm glad I did come here...for many reasons really. It makes me almost wonder what other beautiful things I will come across as I venture through these lands..." He finished as he looked at her, an almost genuine look on his face.

"A boat..." A hint of distrust entered the mares voice as she eyed him, the foreign soquili and their two-legged friends had appeared on boats with strange clouds upon them. They had brought nothing but despair, pain and in some cases...death, to the Kawani Lands - so why was it that she should trust another who had come from a land that required these demonic vehicles to reach them?
"There are many beautiful things in this land." She didn't completely cast aside her renewed suspicions but instead of dwelling on them to the point of suspicion, she carried on. "But such things should not be disturbed, it's bad for them...And it would harm so much." Narrowing her eyes briefly she turned her gaze to admire the mountainsides above them, of all the places within the Kawani lands, they remained untouched by the foreigners - they were her safe haven.
"I would be honoured to show you some of the sights though, and to explain their history..."
