Welcome to my Incantation of the Spirit Quest! This quest is for the Spirit of Video Games. I am not asking for donations (though if you feel so compelled, thank you! <3), this thread is simply a spot for me to organize my thoughts and to (hopefully) receive critique for my concept. So please, if you have any thoughts or ideas, feel free to post them!

Note: Suggestions, anyone? I particularly need them on Onen's powers, because I currently have no idea what to make them. I'm not finished with typing out Bug's info yet, though, so please just add suggestions about Onen. <3

Onen's "hair" isn't actually hair at all. Instead, the stuff coming out his head seems to be made from the same materials that game controller cords are constructed from. Indeed, it even resembles controller cords, sans the actual controller at the end, almost like a skinny version of the popular "dreds" hairstyle. Black in color, Onen's "hair" has the typical waxy texture of any game controller cord. However, unlike real game controller cords, these cords grow. Just like people with real hair, Onen has to get hair cuts - or rather, cord cuts. When cut, you can see the small, multicolored wires at the end, but within a few days, the cord opening is closed by the black covering. It is assumed that if the hair is allowed to continue growing to a length of many feet, each cord will eventually sprout a controller on its end. So Onen tries to keep it cut, with good reason.
Another key feature of Onen's "hair" is the fact that along on scalp, the cords actually "plug" into his head, as if plugging into a game console. Likewise, he can "unplug" his hair from his head, taking it out to do what he pleases with it. However, Onen finds unplugging his hair to be rather painful, as it actually hurts when he takes his hair out. It can also sometimes be a frightening experience. He doesn't know if the cords will grow back if he happens to lose them while they're unplugged.
Eyes
Like his hair, Onen's eyes are an oddity unto themselves. They are shaped, complete with eyelashes and eyelids, and perform the same function as any other pair of eyes. Most similarities end there, however. Just like the glowing power light on most video game consoles, Onen's eyes usually glow a bright green. When he closes his eyes, they're bright enough to shine quite easily through his thin eyelids, giving him a rather creepy appearance.
Onen eyes aren't always the glowing green, though. When he becomes tired, sleepy, hungry, sick, or anything else that makes him feel unenergetic, his eyes will switch from the glowing green to a glowing red, much like the "low batteries" light on many handheld video games. This trait proves to be very useful when Onen is a baby, as his guardian is able to instantly recognize when he's hungry.
Like real video game consoles, when Onen is asleep, or "off," his eyes cease to glow, turning instead to a dull, gray color that is incapable of shining through his eyelids.
Skin
The main color of Onen's skin is a deep, rich brown (exact color undetermined). Though the color of the skin itself seems to have no connection with video games, the markings upon the skin do. Spreading across Onen's skin are the distinctive lines and circles of a circuit board. Golden in color, these markings seem to be everywhere on Onen, trailing down his face, neck, chest, arms, back, and legs. The only places that seem to be void of these lines are his ears, palms, and the soles of his feet.

Personality
Onen definitely isn't the smartest Spirit around, and this fact is displayed is more ways than one. The most obvious way is his almost complete lack of grammar skills. As a toddler, he will be wordless, unable to form the sounds that enable us to communicate. When he finally gains the ability to speak, as a child, his lingo is closest to that of a severely educationally deprived redneck. Slowly, his speech skills will get better as he ages, eventually reaching to an almost normal skill as an adult, though he will never quite be what one could call a raconteur.
Unlike his speech, Onen's writing skills, including spelling and grammar, will hardly expand beyond those procured in his childhood years. Not that he won't have the potential to gain these skills, but he will have trouble finding the desire and patience to actually learn. Why learn to read when everything worth knowing is spoken?
Beyond his speech and literacy, Onen's denseness is displayed in another way. Due to the almost near immortality of video game characters (seriously, even after a 'game over,' you can still play!), Onen has it in his mind that he, too, possesses this power and will keep living, no matter how many times he gets shot or slashed with a sword. As such, Onen will gladly take any dare (see below), be it jumping off of a building or walking in front of oncoming traffic. Usually, unlike certain video game characters, Onen will not come away unscathed, though he does seem to get away without any serious amount of damage.
Besides this, Onen is friendly and proud, if not a little brash, as he is always attempting to goad people into playing video games with him. He abhors any form of strenuous physical activity, though, be it playing sports or doing chores, and will often times fake injury or sickness to get out of doing them. The only exception to this is if someone issues a dare to him. If this happens, Onen will quickly accept and try within all of his power to complete said dare, if only for bragging rights.

Being an alien, Bug's true name is, of course, in his native tongue. However, this language is unable to be spoken by species of non-Zurg orientation. Because of this, he has adopted 'Bug' as his moniker while he is living on Gaia.

Tadaaki Atsutomo He looks really cool I hope your quest is completed Onen is really unique maybe one power should be he automatically knows all cheat codes for everygame created (a minor ability ofcourse) I need to make my quest soon>:[ oh heres another idea maybe he can use cheatcodes for himself like unlimited health or extra lives plus abilities like his hand can turn into a gun with a certain code i dont know just throwin' some random ideas

Hmm...I'm not sure about the cheat codes thing for the games. He's already good at video games, he doesn't really need cheat codes. Besides, only the lowliest gamers use cheat codes. XD
But the codes for himself is an idea! *Thinks.* It could work. 8D
