Haha, how nice. This specific hare was usually the one that stole feathers from hawks, but now, on his wayto 'visit' a friend, one had gotten him! Well, not a hawk, a martial eagle, actually. C'mon, give him some credit, those things are nasty!

Fortunately for Iva, at the lands ov the Ela'Wadiyi, there had been a fortunate amount of cracks to hide in. At least he was alive. The deep red hare was now trying to get the thing to leave. He'd at least gotten a feather, but now he was all cut up, he had to drag himself into the crack for crying out loud! The hare lay on his belly, ears back and front teeth bare, as if he currently posed a threat to the large bird, pecking and kicking into the crack where he'd wedged himself in.

"git way ye nast' thin'! " He squeaked, though usually, when trying to curse at birds, he sounded more gruff and confident, now it was more like a croak. His sides and back had about three large cuts, wich were worrying, and one hind paw had been pecked, but if he survived, it'd probably recover.

The eagle kicked again, only this time he bit its leg, and finally it gave up, pulling away into flight. Problem solved-- not really. Cause now the adrenaline was dying, and he could really start feeling ain. Iva half squeaked, half moaned, and curled up in a tight ball, squinting his green eyes, currently pretty blurry in vision, to look at the two feathers he currently had; one was from theeagle, the other, supposedly from a goddess, tied in a thin line and with a bead around his neck.

"How lucky, eh? " He mumbled. "Survived. Ha! "

It had taken a while to finally meet back up with her teacher. Following the movements of the vagrant goddess was close to impossible- but perhaps by miracle and her own intuition, the red lands had given the small hare her answer. Apparently Amédia was stalling- for her? Arcadia wasn’t sure, but she was happy to once again be back into her element. The red lands were already harvesting an exciting amount of new herbs to experiment, and most of her days had been spent in a flurry of collecting and learning.

But there was an odd emptiness too. Amédia was obviously deliberating over something, and because of this, she’d been spending most of her time alone. She’d never been bothered by the feeling before- but after meeting Iva, she realized how nice it had been having someone to talk to. Particularly someone her size- ever since Amédia had been hanging around with that brute of a lion that kept trying to eat her, she saw less and less of the old rabbit who had taught her.

Arcadia stretched, feeling the muscles in her back flex. “Should not be thinking like that.” Arc scolded. She had a job to do! Who was to know what sort of crisis would happen around these parts, and she had not even collected a stable stock of remedies? She’d only just recently finished her new den at the bottom of a twisted tree.

Her round had almost completed, but the final object on her list took her to the cliffs. It was a place she was cautious about- over the past couple of days she’d seen a rather large eagle hovering about looking for prey. But the roots growing between the stones were of a cool element she was lacking. And with the temperature being what it was, she suspected she’d need a lot of it.

Scrambling carefully over the boulders, Arc lifted her head upwards, looking around. The skies were oddly clear. Funny...

Suddenly- the eagle shot passed her, climbing into the sky. Arcadia gasped and flailed backwards, tumbling over the rocks behind her before it had a chance to see her. But it seemed uninterested. Either that, or it hadn’t noticed her. With a sniff, Arc peeked upwards. On the rock she had been standing on, there were a few droplets of blood. Had they fallen from the eagle’s claws?

She clawed up the rock and peered down the rocky ledge. Was someone hurt? “Hey!” She called, her tail perking. “Hey- is someone down there?”

A long, brown ear twiched slightly upwards. He would be hearing things, right? The hare rolled over light, lifting his head and wincing as his cuts came in contact with the earh. Iva twiched his nose, tilting his head and squinting over and over again to make out the shape of whatever had made a sound.

It was Arc, or another hare that looked an awfull lot like her, and sounded like her, and smelled like her; wich wasn't really likely. He attempted to squeak, but it was too quiet, and he blended in too well with the red-cliffs, especially in this crack.

The hare snoted in frustration, and grabbed his white feather, fitting it between his paw and waving it around; surely that was more visible?

"Here! " He squeaked, or croaked, or whatever one might call it.

She could barely hear his voice- but as soon as she saw the flash of white feather, which even now seemed to repel the dirt and grime, she knew. “Iva?!” She sputtered, and taking a second to judge the distance between the ledge and the rock below it, stumbled forwards and clutched to the next rock. After the initial start, she got her balance and started to thread her way through the boulders and cracks with careful ease. Small stones kicked up as she moved, and for a moment she paused to watch them trickle down to the savannah below. It was lucky she was as small as she was- Arc doubted this would be possible for anything bigger then a hare.

“Are you alright?” She called again, hopping down a rock, and landing above the one she had seen the feather flash from. He hadn’t responded yet- but she could smell the blood enough to know that he probably was not. It made her heart thump wildly. And that eagle-

She lifted her head and scanned the skies. Still nothing. Had it attacked Iva? Knowing him it seemed likely...perhaps he had managed to scare the eagle off for now. She hoped so- it would be difficult moving him if it had not been.

Another rock, and now she had arrived. Quietly whispering a prayer to her totem goddess, she stumbled down into the opening of the crack, and edged forward towards the body wedged at the end. “Iva?”

He cold hear the crickling rocks as the other jumped stone to stone. He would reply, but he was quite sure she wouldn't hear, or at least understand him, untill she got closer. When he knew shewas closer, though, he managed to wheeze. "Define alright. "

He shifted a bit more, forcing himself to sit up, tail still fluffed up. He still had the hawks feather in his mouth, but the goddess' one now hung againat his neck. "Now that one came outta nowhere. " He forced a smile. "But I still got one, and two if you count the bite. " He fluffed up proudly. He hadn't really bitten hawks or eagles before, just pulled theyr feathers.

A decent amount of his fur was matted against his skin, blood spattered over him. "So, umm.. How you been? " Keep it natural, yeah.

Arc pulled back, her fur fluffing up towards her chest as she evaluated the situation. He was saying something in soft wheezes, but it was coming out as incoherent background sounds to her own thoughts. Did she have enough supplies to take care of this? How was she to take care of this? She’d never nursed someone before that she’d truly known- one of the important attributes to a healer was impartiality. But she was far from impartial this time.

Arcadia moved forward, her paws sliding precariously on some of the blood. She had hopes it had come from the eagle- but from the look of Iva, it was unlikely. “Oh, Iva-“ She spoke finally, her ears flattening. “What did you do?”

But he’d just finished saying something, and her ears finally registered it. “What- me?” She balked. “I’m fine but–!” She cut off.

Arcadia moved to the back of the small crack. It was already wedged, and she had to half lift herself by pressing her feet against the rocks in order to get a better look at the slashes on his hips and thigh. That wasn’t good- what if he couldn’t walk? “Can you move?” She spoke, attempting to keep at a calm tone.

"I said, din't see the eagle! " He said, biting back his impatience. It wasn't Arcs fault he soundent more like a mouse than Puku himself did. He shifted slightly to better accomodate his injured paw, blinking at the female.

"Sort of. " He hadn't tried much, but hey, he probably could, right? He pulled himself up on his front paws, lifting the back one from the cround, carefull. He was perhaps fortunate bad had only happened to one leg and his back, that made things a bit easier.

“Alright, alright.” Arcadia spoke as he tried to strain, and nervously touched him on the head. “We have to get you out of here. Eagles might not be good to snatching you here, but this blood is sue to attract something that can.” As if that sudden notion only then had crossed her mind, she stumbled over to the mouth of the crag and looked around. No one moving...

She flattened her ears and hopped back, slipping her body underneath Iva’s bad side in an attempt to support him. “It’s...going to be a long walk. Will you be able to try? I have a den not far...” But farther then she’d like.

He bent his nose down to give his chest a few licks, and perhaps he was too calm for someone just scratched up bad by a fast martial eagle(he'd still managed a feather, though!). Though, he'd probably be more carefull now, he didn't quite fancy failing twice in a day.

He walked as well as he could outside, and his ears bobbed a bit before standing up straight, and he pulled himself out. "M'fine, got soem kicks still. " He bore his rabbit teeth in an equally rabbity grin, if perhaps a bit broken from exaustion, afterall, it'd been a while away from here that he'd actually been attacked, he'd forced himself onward to escape.

Arcadia nodded suspiciously as she looked him over, trying to be sure if he really could make the journey. She checked about his wounded leg and frowned, deciding instead that there really was no other option. They had to get over these rocks.

The rabbit ran ahead, stopping on a rock to rise upon her forelegs and carefully look about. “You keep low, Iva. I will watch. If there’s anything about, they’ll see me before they see you.” She spoke sincerely, and radioed her ears as she listened to the movements around her.

There were no signs of hawks, but she could feel an uneasiness. Maybe she was just worried for Iva. Blinking, she turned her head back towards him and frowned. She’d need new supplies-
