I was always the only girl in the percussion section in school. I also ended up being the only girl in the battery in marching band. and I'm still the only girl from my high school who could carry tenors around, and run around with them on. I don't understand why more girls don't play tenors. They are the best, and for me the most fun to play. Any other girl tenor players out there?

Yeah. We had a freshman girl come in last year and rock it out. She hated it, though, and came to the snareline.

snare is fun, but i would never give up tenors. They are what I play best. They add color to the snare part and that is why i love playing them.

I would desperately love to play tenors, but there's one guy in my section who's a better drummer than me. I've had a lack of practice recently. I really have to get on it.....

Last fall-line and winterline, both of our tenors were girls. This winterline, we have one girl and one guy. We'd have more, but the third tenor is broken beyond repair. I'd love to play tenors, but I love my marimba more!!

Kokihi one of our best tennors is a girl. ...I know you! lol. I was just about to talk about the same girl. She's not on gaia, but she's awesome.

I'm not a Tenor this year but I will be next year!!! Our Tenor Player this year is a Senior and so my band director Wants me on Tenors next year!!! I'm SO excited!!! We have a rediculously small line of 1 Tenor, 2 Snares, and 4 Bass Drums. But it's really cool, we're all like family.

No, there's a senior in our band, Ashley (Whom we affectionately refer to as "the Chang-er Banger") who is well know for it. So don't feel alone^^

I play tenors in the summer. smile Mallets are my stronger point, but i can deffinatly throw down on the tenors.
