 Barely old enough to leave his mother, little Kylosus walked forward. His paws getting tired and stomach growling. He was heading somewhere but didnt know the exact location. He stopped to take a break and rest his sore paws for a while. Plopping done in the grass he sighed. "I wonder what the family is doing now..." he said to himself and closed his eyes for a moment. He looked back the way he came only once before looking up at the stars.

The moon was high. Kukuru tilted his head, and took in the full beauty of the full moon ahead.
Ah, it was shining bright tonight.
'Perfect,' Kukuru thought to himself with a flick of his ear, 'That means there will be enough moonlight to light my path, all the way to the High Grass.'
For some reason, the young klipspringer found himself trotting towards an area he thought was familiar. Had he been there as a young fawn?
He didn't know.
Instead, he trotted onwards, and then caught the scent of an animal. A wild dog. And it was coming this way.

 Leini had snuck and followed her brother. She was getting hungry as well, though she didn't care all that much. "Brother~" She called softly as she neared her mostly red sibling. She giggled lightly and floppd down next to her brother.
"Hmm, brother, what are you doin' out 'ere?" Leini asked her brother. She wanted to play, but her brother looked tired, so she didn't ask him to play with her.
Leini shifted and looked around, seeing a grey creature creature close by. "Hey brother, what's that thing?" she asked pointed to the grey Klips curiously. She was allowed to be curious, right? She didn't really care if she was allowed to or not, she'd ask anyway.

The stars were beautiful yet curious, What were stars made of? are they just up there or do they have a greater purpose? thoughts and questions ran through him until he noticed he had been followed by his sister. He looked at her curious as to why she followed him. "I'm traveling." He said as if he knew exactly what he was doing.
At the question Leini had asked Ky sgot to his feet. "I dont know, let's go check it out!" He said and cautiously walked twards the grey animal. It seemed his curiousity had given him all his strength back as he went wagging his tail.

Kukuru's ear flicked as he heard the pawsteps of dogs approaching, and he turned. The scent filled his nostrils, and he realised that they were dogs. Wild dogs. His sense of smell was acute, and Kukuru had been right.
"Hello, there," he looked calmly, but still wide eyed, at the two pups whom stood nearby, "Who are you two? Not part of Chiboa's lot, I pressume? Relatives of the dog?"
Kukuru was refering to the dog that raised him now. He was raised by a family of wild dogs, and had no idea if these dogs were related to his 'father'.
Looking closer, Kukuru sniffed. Their bloodline was different. But these dogs... their blood smelled like... someone he knew. Someone from his fawn days. But who?
"What are your names?" he asked, slowly, "Do you have a father? Is your father related to the dog Chiboa?"
Their scent was so... familiar. He must know it from Chiboa's scent. He must know their scent already because it was close to his family.
But then, his foster father had never mentioned any other relatives before...
"Who... are you guys?"

"Daddy said not to wander off alone," Leini said to her brother before they started towards the animal.
Leini blinked and stared at the Klipsringer. Soooo many question! She thought for a second, picking out the ones she wanted to answer.
When she decided, she started in the middle. "Yes, we 'ave a daddy. Daddy never said that 'e 'ad family...." Leini said, answering a questions.
"My names Leini," she told the Klips. "Who are you?"
She pondered answering more questions and asking her own, but she turned and waited for her brother to speak.

"I'm Kylosus. who are you?" Ky didnt want to answer any of the questions though he spoke his name. Could he trust this animal enough to talk of his family? He pushed thoughts back and only focused on the animal and his sister. If the animal was a threat he would protect his sister.
His stance said what he was ready to do. He stood tall with his tail high and ears forward. It seemed he was ready for anything the animal could throw at him. Even if he was way to small to do anything.

 Tayhira slipped nimbly from her forest home. As much as she held the bloodlines of tree dwellers she couldn't help but feel trapped in that dark dreary home. Not to mention the severe amount of male leapards that were scouring about. It was enough to make her wretch. Besides that, what better place than to carry out her plans. Nothing was getting done inside that hell hole anway.
The beautiful moon was out, causing her black and white hairs to stand iridescent against the vast openness of the landscape. Her eyes scanned about warily, looking for any sign of danger. As of present she could find none, but her relaxation would stop abruptly. Soft voices tickled her ears, they were not those of feline blood, at least one of them. Her ears flick forward, tail swishing in agitation behind. What was out at this time of night? Usually it was only predator, prey had long since scampered.
It didn't take long for her to spy the congregation of odd looking creatures basking in the moonlight. They were canid, except for the grey one. It appeared to look more like a midnight snack.
However, she had eaten recently and her stomach was content. There would be no need for bloodshed here and now. Perhaps some conversation would do her good. Many moons had passed since she had last spoken to another and she wondered if she still possessed her silver tongue. She lowered her body to the ground, kreeping forward silently, hoping to spring behind them. When she felt close enough, but still far enough to be safe - whatever that was - she issued a sharp click of her tongue to announce her presence.

Kukuru looked from Leini to Kylosus. Their scent seemed familiar, but she shook the thought from his head.
'Nah, 'he thought with a chuckle, 'It's just my imagination. I must've scented them in the savannah on one of my walks, or something.'
He paused, then looked to the little Leini. She seemed the most relaxed of the two... the other, Kylosus, was in a stance that suggested he would spring at any moment.
"I'm Kukuru," the klipspringer said, dipping his head to show respect, "A pleasure to meet you, I must say. But... if you're a threat...."
He narrowed his eyes. For some reason, predators liked to give him this kind of whimsical look when he was out and about. Like they wanted to... well, taste him. But Kukuru was not a coward. He had been raised by wild dogs, after all!
He turned to the two pups, to ask them more questions, when his ears flicked. A sound from behind alerted him to the prescense of another.

Ky scanned the little grey creature. still on full alert, when the animal spoke it's name he relaxed some. "I'm not a threat.. are you going to hurt my sister?!" He asked and looked back at Leini then back at Kukuru.
When the sound of another hit his ears it scared him. He jumped and yelpped curling into a little ball of fur. It was so different out here, without his parents around he felt so helpless. The only thing he could do now was protect his sister, but who was going to protect him?

Kukuru shook his head.
"Hmmm? Me, hurt you?" he asked, tilting his head to one side, "Of course I won't. We've only just met, haven't we? I have no grudges against you at all."
At this he turned... and he gazed upon a pair of vibrant green eyes shining in the dark of the night.
"Another?..."

"Well, Hi, nice ta meet'cha," Leini smiled, then curiously peared at the green eyes. She got a little curious and shifted from her position to stand. She meandered over to the green-eyed creature. Her curiosity would kill her one day, but she didn't care, she wanted to play!

Noticing his sister walk past him, he stood. He was still scared but knew that if anything happened to Leini he could never forgive hisself. He took a few steps twards Leini, "wait.. it could be dangerous." he said softly, ears low and tail between his legs. Ky didnt know what was going to happen, he wished someone was there to protect them. why did I leave! If I knew sis was following I would have never left!

Young. They were all so young. A smile hinted at the edge of the wild cat's lips, the flesh curling to reveal sharp rows of glittering white teeth. One of the small ones, perhaps the less brainy of the others, came jaunting over to greet her. Tayhira eyed her with those emerald ovals, flicking her tail to and fro, but still refusing to make a sound as of yet.
The red one spoke, his body seemed to tense with fear. It was good that he did, for her race was larger than his even upon adulthood. Not to mention her size compared to that of a mere child. "It's not dangerous," she clucked, her eyes tracing over his thin complexion. "Yet." A soft chuckle escaped her lips and she moved past the creme spotted canid.
She found a particular interest in the klipspringer. That may have been partially entitled to the fact she considered them food, but it might have been something else as well. "What are all you doing out here?" she inquired, her head swiveling back over to give them all a disproving glare. "With pups as young as yourselves I'm surprised you haven't yet been eaten." Not to mention a prey intermingling so close with predator, even if they were to young to make a mark on that grey hide.
"And you," she adressed the herbavore. "Have you completely lost your wits?" She quirked an eybrow at the creature and settled onto her haunches to await their retorts.

Ky lookd at the big cat and tried to look proud and confident. "I'm traveling." he said and suck his chest out like he was a great leader. Tail high ears forward and standing as tall as he could on four legs, he looked at the stars for a moment before his attention went back to the leopard.
