what ability or skill did you first start out with when you were learning about psychics and the paranormal? How old were you when you first started?
(for example I started practicing psychic things when I was 12 with my ouija board. )

I don't really remember, I show interest in jr.high school and after I got into high school, I progess a little by a little I suppose sweatdrop .

Probably mythology and religions sparked my interest and lead me to the road.

Sometimes, thing could be found out but archeological site when they slowly uncover more or ... somethings similar to folklore.

I started with palm reading in about 4th grade I think. I found a book at my library about it that they were going to throw away so I took it home. Until just recently, that's all I did. Then I joined Lobo's psionics school and learned psi orbs and shielding. Now I don't really have much besides that, though the more I learn the more I found out I used to be able to do. (things I took for granted turn out to be psychic abilities I never knew about)

I was interested in all of it around 14, I had started having visions already, but didn't know it, as they wouldn't come true for a few years after I had them.
My intrest took a couple of hits though, due to a fraud my Dad started seeing that was a telephone pyschic, (she flat out admitted to faking her tarot readings.) and an ex boyfriend who suffered from delusions..(he thought he was the anti christ one week and then thought I was the reincarnation of the virgin mary the next..)
It took a while for me to rekindle an intrest.

i first heard them from a friend who had a wicca lover. she was practising them but i never got to learn much from her.
aafter that i got my first tarot deck when i was 14. that's how i started practising. i had visions and dreams but mostly i kept quiet because everyne thought i was doing it because i wanted to be different and i have psychological problems.
