I was wondering if anyone knew? Someone posted about it in a XS community on LJ.

It's in lots of TV shows, movies, etc. But I'm wondering if anyone has any clue what it's from? ^^;

I've been trying to figure that out, too! I'm not sure if it's a prayer, or just "share-ware" for musicians. But, have you noticed it's used generally in religion-oriented things, which backs up the prayer idea...

You might have to ask a vocal teacher but I think it is mainly some one just vocalizing and not really singing.

Yeah, it doesn't really sound like actual words.

Yeah, I just heard it on a trailer for "Hostage". Only, it had more to it than just the four note sequence, which I thought was odd...

I'm not in school. xd And I agree that it doesn't really seem like words, but a hymn like others said.

I think someone mentioned in another community that they thought it was like share-ware for musicians, I just wish I could find out what it was called.

I know it was in the Da Vinci Code trailer...

I know that the woman who worked on Episode II and III's music used her own language, Kajurian, because sometimes vocals could be an instrument, but, I figured that since this was all over the place it might have some form of significance ^^;

You don't need to be in school to find a vocal teacher to ask.

Yuki Kajiura didn't compose the Song of Nephilim used in the Xenosaga series. If anyone did, it was the composer for Xenosaga Ep. I, Yasunori Mitsuda.

But yes, the song has been used in various other places like in trailers for The DaVinci Code and The Omen. It's possible that the Song of Nephilim used in Xenosaga was an old religious song or something that Yasunori used. Or maybe the other places just took the song from Yasunori. XD Although I highly doubt that.
