I want to see this happen soon. But the server and bandwidth issues must be painfully real. One can only imagine the number of weekend warriors who want to spill Gaian blood here and now. ninja twisted

I hope the admins have a shitload of cash for the right sized servers to handle this kind of load. I picture as many as 7,000 folks trying to battle away all at the same time the first week the system opens its doors.
Oh well, another chapter in the saga of the lumbering giant that is Gaia shall soon unfold...

I wonder if I will get picked to be a beta tester like I was with Towns.
It should be interesting but Gaia will need more servers. I'm sure lack of PK will curb some of the blood lust.

They should have a Player vs. Player arena!
Of course it would be dominated by little 14 year old hermits who never leave thier house and just play on Gaia all the time.

CONS: It sucks to be a loser. PROS: At least I have a higher chance of getting laid than them. And by "getting laid" I mean "engaging in sexual intercourse with a fine, good-looking lady (As opposed to a fat ugly animu fangirl who writes Inuyasha yaoi fanfiction, which is what these guys have a chance of getting)"

I think that Max's estimate is way too low. I believe that the number of Gaian on-line for this year's Halloween event was in the mid 50,000 range.
RSJ's prediction is closer to the mark unless the admins have ponied up for some heavy metal servers and tons of RAM. Lord only knows what the bandwidth is going to look like, what with every other game that Gaia offers now.
We'll see.

I was merely stating that he could probably draw (ahem) more people to Gaia if he presents the rest of the intergnats with pron. Christ on a Totem Pole, they could make some hella cash money by stating "Whoever donates the most munnies to the servers in a month will have their avatar featured in an h-menga with [insert NPC of choice hurrr]." Oh s**t. THAT COULD BE HOW THEY'LL PAY FOR THE BATTLE SYSTEM SERVERSWe should pitch that to the admins!
