for all you bebop lovers out there, what is your favorite tune of this genre and why? mine is Yardbird Suite by Charlie Parker, and right now i'm listening to a version of Confirmation by the Art Blakey Quintet, another of my favorite bebop tunes. i like these two because of the cool melodies, syncopation (did i spell that right?), and the chords. how about you guys?

I'd Have to say Ornithology. The one done by Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker would have to be my favourite one

I dunno... I guess either it would have to be She Wrote by Charlie Parker or.... Tinkle Trinkle by Thelonius Monk... Though that's not really a bop tune I guess.

Though that's not really a bop tune I guess. i'm playing a difficult Monk tune right now, called Well You Needn't, in my school's big jazz band. the changes may look simple, but i find them a bit hard. it's pretty fun, though. 3nodding

Boplicity is really awesome. and I don't know what it falls under, but I really like 7 steps to heaven too. Miles Davis rocks my socks.

But my favorite bebop tune would have to be Bebop A or KoKo!
