I always use The Stranger (thestranger.com) for my show listings. They're divided into All Ages and Club listings generally, plus most local venues (like Showbox and El Corazon) run weekly full page adds with their entire calender for the month.
What type of shows are you interested in?
And whatever you do, don't get sucked into the hype around Vera. Yes, Veras mission is good. Yes, Vera has done a hell of a lot for the community. But the kids that frequent Vera tend to be elitist, superficial, scenesters who aren't really there for the music. Nor is Vera the only place in this city you can see all ages shows. We have one of the strongest all ages scenes in the West Coast.

It all depends on what kind of music you are into. You could try citysearch.com.
