The King's Master Suite

You have just entered the Master Suite of his Lordship Galen A'Asteran. Tread carefully if you dare, as things that can be seen and not seen guard these rooms and halls from the would be assassins, thieves, and such.

For those invited, welcome, and Jarvis will be along momentarily to take care of your needs.

As you enter the Masters Suite and elderly gentlman approaches you. Uniformed as he is, you quickly realize that the man approaching is the Masters Manservant Jarvis.

"Now, now, now, you all know that you really should not be in here. His Lordship would frown upon your actions if he knew."

Jarvis paused and looked about, and seeing the sad expression upon your faces, he seems to soften a little as he relents some.

"Oh, very well. You must promise me right now, that what I show you will remain a secret, and that you will not touch a thing. Some things in the Masters Suite does have a rather nasty habit of biting."

Jarvis raised a bony hand, to show his pinky finger to be missing.

"Alright then, since you appear to be trustworthy lets move along before he returns. The room you are standing is the Masters sitting room. Here he greets those that enter. An entranceway to his other rooms, as it were."

With that out of the way, he begins to walk away towards an entranceway.

"Come along, much to see, so little time."

As the tour continues, you walk into the elegance of his Lordships Living Room. Jarvis of course again pauses to point out the grandeur of it.

"Here is where our Lordship might entertain some close friends or guests in private, or to perhaps court a fine Lady."

Without another second passing, Jarvis continues on.

Deeper into the suite you venture, and enter what can only be a dining chamber.

As you all take note, the room is not as large as the grand hall is, but never the less, the room does merit notice as many can still enjoy a quiet and private meal with your Lordship.

Jarvis says nothing, but pauses as he ushers you forward. Your thoughts are that he fears you might steal some of the fine cutlery or china.

Jarvis soon returns to the head of the procession as he continues to guide you through the suite, and those rooms within. The finest craftsmanship is quickly noticed in every aspect of the area. The finest woods, tapestries, paintings, marble floors, and the list goes on. Its not a decadent manner that the rooms have been designed, but it is with fine taste and careful design.

Several doors of course are bypassed, and Jarvis merely comments that no one is allowed here nor there. Yet finally another room is entered, and Jarvis explains that it is the Masters Study.

The Lords study is left, and immediately another room is entered upon. The Scholar or the War Magus, one cannot help but drool a little, as they wonder what secrets lie within. Though like the vigilant knight, Jarvis steps into view.

"This is the Masters Private Library. Here some of his prized works have found a resting place, and it was also here, that my pinky finger was.... Eaten."

Jarvis then ushers everyone out of the room, as before.

Other doors are ignored as you reach what should be the furthest point in the suite, and it is there you enter what Jarvis calls the Dressing room.

"It is here that I assist our Lordship in dressing and proper grooming. It is very important that I insure that his Lordship looks his best, and of course presentable."

Jarvis then begins to walk again.

"We are now entering the last of the suite that I will allow you to see...."

The final room is no doubt a bed chamber. It is here that you can note the extreme efforts having been done to insure that his Lordship is of course made fully comfortable. Books, Art, and other things decore the room to provide a esthetics that enhances one to become fully relaxed.

As you look around, in the distance you hear the main doors close, and you then hear a voice.

"JARVIS!"

Jarvis's eyes widen as he looks at you.

"Quickly... You must leave before you are seen, I will tend to the Master and distract him so you can escape. So do not dally."

With that he ushers you in a direction to another exit, and soon you find yourself back in the hallway.

The King had finally returned to his quarters, and he was exhausted. Laia's curse situation while not overly a burden to him, still had its toll upon him as he had to heal her to prevent her from dying.

It was a sacrafice in part, but thanks to Woundhealer, his sword it was not a permanent loss. With his spells he had been able to teleport to a location to secure sufficient soul power to power up his sword, and thus reverse the aging effect that had been done to him when he healed Laia.

There was no choice in the matter, as he would have done it for anyone he cared about. Everyone in the Castle, the King cared about, and perhaps some more than others.

The King took his scabbard with Woundhealer and placed it upon its resting place above his mantle. Then he summoned his butler Jarvis to assist in the removing of his armor. It had been an emotional turmoil as secrets about Laia had come to light, and he had hoped his friend Christophers could remove the curse on Laia.

Jarvis had finished removing his Lords Armor, and secured for the King his robes. They were warm and comfortable. With that he went to his study where a fire was lit in his fireplace. He sat down into one of his most comfortable couches, his eyes shut for a moment. His faithful man Jarvis brought him a cognac, and a book he had been reading.

"Thank you, Jarvis. That will be all for the evening."

"Very good, Sir," said Jarvis.

With that, Galen began to read.

L'Ange had an urge to read something, yet, she had found nothing in the Castle Library interesting enough, and soon remembered that the King had one. She walked to the chambers parts of the castle, looking for his room, quickly finding it, she knocked on the door and waited.

She heard the knock upon the door, and since Jarvis had retired for the evening, she decided to see who was intruding. She had yet to remove her armor and such, and she had been looking so forward to getting to know her husband again.

She went to the door, and opened it and saw L'Anges standing there.

"L'Ange, what brings you here? Everything alright?"

When the Queen had anwsered the door, and asked her what she needed, she simply replied

"Everything is fine, was just strolling around looking to see if anyone had any good books to lend me. Then I remembered the King having a library of some sort in here."

She smiled gently, and motioned for L'Ange to enter.

"He does have a personal library of his favorites, not to mention his spell books are there also. Though I doubt you will take any of those. He does have some interesting books."

She moved towards the sitting room, and began to undo her chestplate.

"Would you mind helping me with this. Everyone has gone to bed, and I don't want to bother Galen with this. I don't have the luxury of telling my armor to get off of me, like he does."

She winked and smiled at L'Ange.
