Its so strange to me, but I am 36w Thursday!! eek Only four weeks left! sweatdrop I had my first internal exam today and got my strep B test. I had thought the update on the progress Im making was a big deal because I couldnt remember being this far along with my daughter this early but it turns out I was!! To explain here are some excerpts from todays escapade then a small paragraph about where I was with Bobbi at this point.

35w 6d today 11/8/06

Well, what a day and doc apt! I still am kindof reeling from it all. I didnt know it but today was my group B strep and first internal check. For whatever reason I thought it was next week, but Ive decided at this point Im a week behind in everything.
Well all my cramping/gassy feeling hasnt been for nothing! (I was cramping/gassy all day yesterday, it sucked!) Im still shocked, but I am already 2 cent dilated and 60% effaced!!!! 0.0 Doc says its totally normal for a second pregnancy and that I could make it to 3 or 4 cent and not even know it!! 0.0 Just makes everything go quicker when I actually have the baby. Im gonna go back and look at when I was this far with Bobbi. She also said this time around I dont wait til I have to breathe through the contractions, if they get to 5 minutes apart I come in. Everything is gonna go alot quicker so if I dont get in I could be in trouble!!! o.0;;; Also if Im leaking obviously call or get in. She expects me to go early again and half joked/half seriously mentioned Thanksgiving! I asked if I did have the baby soon is it to early and she said no because 37w is full term and Im only a week away from that. Makes me nervous to think about that, but I guess if baby is ready nothing I can do about it, right?

My doc gave me a note so when I go into labor if she isnt on call I can ask them to call her. If she can make she will come deliver me. biggrin I also got a small prescription for Lortab (only 10 pills) so if I start having contractions that keep me up like I did with Bobbi I can at least get some pain relief and sleep.

Baby is head down and as much as I feel it the baby is not completely dropped yet. He/she has about 6 inches to go until fully dropped.

And here is a paragraph when I was pregnant with Bobbi.
36w apt

I am 70% effaced and dilated (dialated?) to a centimeter and a half. Doc is real happy about that, says she thinks that puts me right on time. Kinda scared me because she said I might have an 8 pounder o.0 that seems a little big for my small body, but Im sure it will be ok. Doc said alot of people are still clenched tight at this point so she was excited to see progress. Makes me excited too! So yay for things happening. =DDD

I am due Dec 7th so if I go around Thanksgiving thats 2 weeks early. Bobbi was 8 days early.

Here is a ticker that I am using to count me down ^^

Ah, sorry to hear about the pit Jen, that stuff is awful!!! I figured it'd been awhile since I said anything and would update how close it is xd

Thanks Ms Jo! I got a maternity shirt today that says 'I cant take it anymore!' and thats almost how I feel xd But what would pregnancy be without the extremely hard 9th month? ^^;;; Its funny how much I forgot with Bobbi though in the 9th month. That forgetting chemical works good! eek

Congratulations, sweetheart! Hang in there. I'm due Nov. 23rd (Thanksgiving Day), so I'm in my supposedly-last two weeks of "dear god, I want this child OUT!" My first was nowhere *near* this bad, and I personally credit the fact that back then, I was getting massages once a week (we traded services). Oh, how I wish we could afford even one this time around...hubby does his best when I ask, but it just isn't the same.

Keep us posted, hon! I keep forgetting you and I are so close on due dates. I wonder which of us will *really* go first?

That shirt sounds great Pinkee!

Yvaine, I hear ya there. I was so much more excited about the prospect of delivery with my second child. This may sound odd, but I think part of it was that the second time I wasn't quite so afraid of labor and delivery.

Jen that doesnt sound odd AT ALL! The only thing Im worried about this time is c-section (low possibility) or baby not doing well or something like that. But as far as labor and how scary it was the first time I dont feel any of that this time around! Just curious when my water will break and that. xd
