Jazz and Taem11/08/06 to presentJazz Shuffle shuffle... Nope, nothing in there.. Now who hid the cheese?! There had to be some in there.. The little mouse sighed as he rummaged through the fridge, attempting to find some cheese to cook a grilled cheese sandwich with. This was his first time in the Sanctuary, so he had absolutely no idea where anything was. Finally.. He pulled the package of cheese out of the fridge, and set it on the counter next to a loaf of bread as he closed the door with his foot. Now, to find the pans.. Taem Taem was humming a song as he bounced into the shop. It was too quiet around in there! Just when the fox was about to take a seat in the main room, he heard someone in the kitchen. Curious, the white fox peeked in. Giggling as he watched the mouse poke around for food, Taem stepped in. "Hello!" he greeted, smiling. Jazz Jazzy had finally managed to find a pan in one of the bottom cupboards just as the other walked in. At the unexpected enthusiastic greeting, he squeaked in surprise and fell over, dropping the pan by accident. He looked over at the origin of the hello, and calmed a little bit when he saw the fox. Just a little. Well.. He didn't seem to be threatening.. He certainly didn't look it. But then again, foxes were sneaky creatures.. "Oh! You startled me there," he stated as he picked up the pan and stood up, placing it on the stovetop and turning to Taem. "I thought I was alone in here for now, but I guess I thought wrong. Oh, pardon me. My name's Jazz, what's yours? And.. do you know where the plates are..?" He asked the last question sheepishly, not knowing where anything was. Taem Taem laughed as the poor mouse dropped the pan. "Sorry I scared you!" he chuckled, trying to hide his mirth as he fiddled with the hand mirror he had. "I just came in. But it's nice to meet you Jazz! I'm Taem!" the fox grinned, sticking out a hand for a handshake. "Maybe I can help you with... making whatever you're trying to make?" Jazz "Oh no, it's quite all right. I get scared at everything!" He managed to laugh, dusting off his flowing purple garments. He took the fox's hand and shook it gently. "It's nice to meet you, Taem. You're the first hybrid I've met here so far! I just arrived recently. And yes, I'd greatly appreciate some help," he chuckled, pointing behind him to the cupboards. "I don't know where the plates are, and I'm attempting to make a grilled cheese sandwich." Taem "Oh really? Well I'm glad to be the first to meet ya!" Taem grinned, returning the shake. "So... Let's see... Plates..." The white fox hummed as he went to grab a few plates. He found them in a cabinet by the fridge. "Ah, here we go! How many do you want, Jazz?" Taem asked, turning to look at the mouse. "There's plenty here!" Jazz The mouse returned the smile with a twitch of his tail, then thought a moment. "Oh! I only need one, unless you'd like a grilled cheese sandwich, too? I can make one for you, if you'd like me to. They're my favorite thing to make!" He beamed. Grilled cheeses went great with wine.. At least, he thought so. Taem "Umm... If you wouldn't mind, I'd like one!" Taem giggled as he brought out two plates. "I don't think I've had one before but... I'd like to try one!" He carried the plates over to Jazz and asked, "Grilled cheese and wine? I wouldn't think they'd go that well together!" Jazz Jazzy took both plates, setting them on the counter. "Sure, it's no problem!" He turned on the stove and put some butter in the pan before spreading butter across two pieces of bread. He put a couple slices of cheese on the plates, and placed the two unbuttered pieces of bread in the hot pan, and began preparing the sandwiches. "Grilled cheeses are my favorite kind of sandwiches! And you'd be surprised! I love wine and cheese, I think they go well together. Although, that's just my opinion." He grinned, putting the cheese on top of the pieces of bread in the pan, then putting the butter-side of the other two slices up on top of the cheese, then flipped the sandwiches over. "Almost done!" Taem "Thanks!" the fox grinned, watching as Jazz started to make the sandwiches. "I'll have to give it a try then! Maybe there's some wine around here... " But Taem doubted it. With children running about at times, it'd be dangerous to keep liquor around. "Oh! That fast? Wow!" Jazz "I don't know where the wine is kept, if there is any.. But grilled cheeses are good all by themselves!" He put the package of cheese back in the fridge, closing it with his foot as he checked the sandwiches. Finding them to be done, he slid them both off the pan with one on each plate. He turned off the stove and put the pan at the back burner to cool, then picked up both plates and held one out to Taem. "Done! They're really quick and easy, and they taste delicious!" Taem "Well I'll go look while you finish them off!" Taem replied, searching around. All the while, he was humming a tune under his breath. Going through the fridge carefully and finding nothing. Then the fox peeked through the cabinets, hey! One never knew! But he didn't find any wine. Or other liquor, poo. Taem looked up from his futile search when Jazz announced the sandwiches were ready. "Oh good! I couldn't find any wine... Would some soda work?" Jazz Jazzy set the plates down at the table and began to clean up the pan. "Soda? I've never had that before.. Sure, I'll try it! We'll both try something new today!" He smiled, then washed his hands when he'd finished cleaning, even though there wasn't much to clean. He looked around, scratching his head. "Now where are the glasses..?" Taem "What? You've never had soda? You haven't lived until you've tried some soda!" Taem said, quite surprised. Hadn't everyone had soda? Returning to the fridge, the white fox mumbled something. White soda or dark? Taking a chance, he grabbed two whites. "Hope you like Sprite!" Taem chuckled, setting the cans down on the counter beside Jazzy. Reaching up beside the sink, the fox removed a couple of glasses. "Volia!" Jazz "Well, I feel like I'm living, but soda sounds good!" He smiled, picking up a can and inspecting it. "Hmm.. 'Sprite?' It sounds good.. Can we drink out of the cans, or is that bad?" He asked, tilting his head a bit while looking at Taem curiously. Soda sounded good, and Taem seemed to like it, so why not try it himself? Taem "Sure we can drink it from the cans!" Taem smiled, his tail twitching behind him excitedly. It'd been awhile since he had soda, seeing as Youko didn't like to keep a lot of caffine around the kids... For good reason of course. Jazz "Oh! You can? Neat!" He put the cans of soda down near the plates with the sandwiches on the kitchen table, then put the glasses away. "Then we're all set!" The little mouse exclaimed happily, then sat himself down in one chair. "I hope you like the grilled cheese, they're my favorite kind of sandwich!" He smiled, his tail twitching a bit behind him. He picked up the can again, inspecting it closely. "Umm.. How do you open this thing..?" He inquired curiously, studying the metal pull-tab on the top but couldn't get his finger under it to open it. That must be how you open it, but how does it work if you can't move it? Taem "Sure, why not? There's no rules sayin' we can't!" Taem grinned. The fox followed Jazz to the table. "Awesome, let's dig in then!" he said, hurrying to a chair. "Oh I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I'm easy to please!" the fox said, chuckling. At the question about the can, he laughed. "Here, you do it like this - " Taem slipped a finger under the tab on top and popped it open. "See! Nothin' to it! Just wriggle your finger under it!" Jazz "Oh, I suppose that's good that you're easy to please!" He concluded, frowning a bit as he attempted to open the can while his companion was speaking. At the last statement, the mouse let out a questioning 'hmm' as he tried to wriggle his finger under the metal pull-tab. He finally managed to get it up a bit and pulled it open, frowning at the can as he rubbed his fingers. "These things are a pain to open! Oh well," he stated, then inspected the contents of the can curiously. "This looks okay, I think.." He decided, inspecting it a bit more. It didn't seem bad.. Well, he'd already opened it, it would be rude not to try it. With a twitch of his tail, he brought the opening of the can to his lips and tipped it a bit, taking a small sip of the clear liquid with an interesting scent. He set the can on the table, his small grey hand still wrapped around it, and tasted the soda carefully. It didn't seem too bad.. He swallowed it, twitching his tail happily. "This stuff is really good!" Taem Taem giggled as he watched poor Jazz try to open the can. "There ya go, you got it!" he grinned as the mouse checked out the liquid. "You'll get used to opening it, don't worry!" And finally when he took a swig of the soda and announced it was good, Taem clapped his hands in delight, "Oh good! I knew you'd like it! Nice and bubbly, isn't it?" Jazz The little mouse nodded, twitching his tail again. "Oh yes, it's very good! And I'm sure I'll get used to opening these darned cans.." He said with a frown, poking the can with an extended finger, then grinning up at Taem. "Now it's your turn to try something new!" He motioned to the sandwiches, then picked his up and took a bite of it, figuring they should eat before they got too cold. After that they weren't as good. Taem The fox looked at the sandwich and grinned, looking back at Jazz. "Okay!" he giggled, "It looks yummy!" Taem took the other and sniffed it, smiling even more. Oh, it smelled delicious! Taking a big bite, his eyes widened as he chewed. When he swallowed, his tail twitched excitedly behind him. "That tastes wonderful!!" Jazz Jazz looked on excitedly as the other tried the sandwich he had made, waiting with bated breath. When Taem exclaimed his thoughts, the mouse broke into a grin and giggled. "Oh, I'm so glad you like it! It really is my favorite sandwich, it tastes so good! That, and it's so easy to make, too!" He took another bite of his, his tail twitching excitedly behind him. It made him very glad that someone else enjoyed his favorite sandwich as much as he did. He took another sip from his can of soda, thinking that he'd have to more kinds of soda. Come to think of it.. "How many kinds of soda are there?" He asked the fox curiously. There couldn't be too many, could there? Taem "It does taste really good! Especially the cheese!" Taking a sip from his soda, Taem still smiled. "There are lots of soda! You have your Coca Cola, Pepsi, Sprite, 7-Up, Sierra Mist, and the list goes on and on!" Jazz "I'm glad you like it!" The mouse said with a giggle. He opened his eyes wide when Taem kept talking. "There's a lot? I didn't think there were! I guess it's like wine, then. Lots of different kinds I need to try, then!" He exclaimed with another giggle, then took another bite of his sandwich happily. Taem "Mm hm!" Taem nodded, grinning. "There are lots! And I do like this sandwich. It's delicious!" Taking a few more bites, the fox growled happily. Ooohhh it tasted so good! Jazz "Oh, I'm so happy you like it! I've never cooked for anyone else before!" He squeaked happily, his tail twitching. He blinked a moment, then thought. "Well, at least.. I don't think I have. I don't know. But anyway, I do have a lot of soda to try! How many kinds are here?" He asked, popping the last bite of his sandwich into his mouth, then took a large sip of his drink. Geez, it was good! He didn't think he'd like a drink this much, other than wine. Taem "Well you did an awesome job!" Taem giggled, munching on some more of his sandwich. "How many are there?" the fox repeated. Pondering it for a second, he shrugged. "Not sure! Lots of stores have their own brand of soda too. Jazz "Wow, that's a lot of soda!" The mouse stated, blinking a couple times. Was it healthy to try all that soda? He tilted his head to the side a bit, looking at his soda can, and shrugged a bit to himself. He picked it up again and downed the rest of the contents, then set the empty can on the table once he finished. "Ooh, this stuff is so good! How many kinds of soda are here at the Sanctuary?" He asked, looking up at Taem. Taem "Yeah it is!" the fox said, smiling and shaking his head. "Hmm... I don't know, really!" Taem said, wriggling as he finished off his sandwich and soda. "There's just so many... I certainly can't keep track of it all!" Jazz "Wow, that must be a lot!" He said, thinking a bit while twitching his tail. He eyed his empty soda can before getting up and setting his plate and can by the sink, then opened the fridge door and began rummaging through to find another different type of soda to try. "Would you like another can of soda?" He asked Taem, figuring it would be rude not to offer to get him another can. Taem "Heck yeah there is!" Taem giggled as he watched Jazz's twitching tail. "Hm? Oh, sure! I'd love another!" the fox said, grinning as got up to put away his own dirty dish. "So what are ya thinking of trying next?" Jazz "Oh? Hmm.. I think I might try this one, Coke.." He said, pulling the can out of the fridge curiously as he inspected it. "Oh, which kind did you want?" He asked, poking his head over the top of the fridge door, so Taem could only see above his nose, his tail twitching a bit. Taem "Oh, Cokes are the best in my opinion." the white fox chuckled. "If there's another Coke, I'd love to have it!" Taem couldn't help but giggled again as Jazzy's tail twitched again. He was cyuutte! Jazz "Okay! If you think they're good, then they must be!" The mouse concluded with a grin, ducking his head down behind the door again, now only his tail and feet visible, plus the bottom of his flowing garments. "Hmm.." His tail twitched constantly as he rummaged around the cold box, looking for another coke. "Aha!" He pulled another one out, then straightened up and walked to the table again, kicking the door shut lightly as he went. "Here we go! The rest of the cokes were hiding on me," he said with a giggle, handing the second can to the fox. "I can't wait to try this one!" Taem "I do!" Taem grinned as Jazz ducked to get the drinks. "Oh hiding, huh? You sure that you just weren't looking hard enough?" the fox asked teasingly as he took the coke and opened it up easily. Jazz The little mouse giggled again with an amused grin on his face. "Yes, I'm sure they were hiding on me! Why else wouldn't I be able to find them?" He managed to open the can easier this time, then took a sip of this new drink curiously. Ooh, these were all so good! Taem "Weeelllllll... Maybe you just like sticking your head into the fridge." the fox teased, taking a swig of the bubbly drink. Taem smiled as Jazz took another sip of the different soda. "Do you like it? This is my favorite, full of caffine and sugar!" Jazz "Maybe I do! There's so much good food to look at in there!" He teased back, taking another sip of his soda. "I do! It's really good. This is your favorite kind? That's neat! I guess I have to find a favorite kind too, don't I?" He giggled, sitting back down in his chair. He took another sip from the can, his tail twitching a bit as he did so. "Mmm!" Taem Taem couldn't help but laugh at that. "Mm hm! Coke is the best in my mind." The fox watched as Jazzy giggled and sipped the drink. "So I guess I've added another soda lover, huh?" Jazz "You bet!" He giggled, wiggling his toes a bit, then took another sip of his drink. Ooh, it was so yummy! "Hmm.. What should we do now? D'you know any games we could play?" He asked curiously, wondering if they had any boardgames or cards around. Taem "I dunno! This is only my second time coming here..." Taem admitted, sipping his Coke. "But I'm sure there's something lying around that we can use to entertain ourselves!" Always the optomistic one... Jazz Jazz downed the rest of his coke, then pushed himself up off his chair and set his can beside the sink with the other, then went into his thinking mode. He wrapped one arm around his middle, set his elbow over the back of his wrist, and his fist on his chin. "Hmm... Well, we could look around for something? There has to be something interesting here! Maybe a deck of cards or something, or a good movie. What's your favorite movie?" He suddenly asked the fox, his thoughts changing course as soon as he'd said the word 'movie.' Taem The white fox was humming again, softly as Jazz lost himself in his thoughts. But when the mouse spoke, Taem stopped to listen. "Yeah, let's go look! Something's gotta be lying about!" he giggled, his black-tipped tail flicking about. "Hmm... Favorite movie? I don't think I've seen a movie before..." He knew what they were of course, just he never went to go see one. Jazz "Let's go look in the other room, maybe there's something in there!" Jazz offered, heading towards the kitchen exit into the living room. "I don't know what my favorite movie is, I like lots of them! I haven't seen many, but sometimes some of them seem familiar, even if I've never seen them before, it's really weird," he giggled, his tail twitching a bit behind him as he scurried into the living room, taking a quick glance around. Taem "That sounds like an excellent idea! Lead on!" Taem said, following the mouse into the living room. "Hmm... That is pretty weird. But I'm sure that it happens to a lot of other people!" Jazz Jazz bounded around the living room, looking beneath couches and in cabinets curiously. "Oh, it does? Good, then I'm not the only one! Do other people not remember the majority of their lives, as well? I can't recall anything before... four or five years ago, I think." He stated with a nod, then squealed as he pulled out a board game from the back of one of the cabinets. "Monopoly, yay!" Taem "Oh sure! I think there's a term for it... But I just can't remember!" the fox said after thinking about it for a minute. "But you're definitely you're not the only one!" At the mention of a game, Taem's ears perked up. "Oh, Monopoly? Is that a fun game?" Jazz "Ooh good, it's so nice to hear I'm not the only one! I was beginning to think I was strange or something, I wasn't sure if it was normal to not remember the majority of one's life." He giggled, his tail twitching, and he put the box on the floor and paused. "Umm.. I think it is! I'm not sure, I don't remember playing it." He lifted the lid and began taking out all of the pieces. Taem "Noooppe! You're not strange. Lots of other people are, but not you!" Taem grinned as he moved closer to look at the game. "Hmm... It looks interesting. Why don't we give it a try? It can't be too hard to figure out how to play it!" Jazz "Okay! It looks fun!" He grinned, then dumped the rest of the stuff out. He found the directions and began to read them. "Hmm.. It does look like fun!" He giggled, then began to read the most important rules, and the instructions, out loud to Taem so he'd know how to play, too. He then put the instructions aside and began to set everything up, then looked at all the little metal pieces. "Which one do you want to be? It looks like there's a shoe, a dog, a racecar, and a couple other ones.." Taem Taem wriggled excitedly as Jazz took out the game and read the rules. "Oh really? Yay!" He then fell silent, listening to the rules. "Mmm... I'll take the doggie!" Jazz "Okay! I'll take the car, then!" He giggled, placed both tokens onto the "Go" square, then passed out the money. He picked up both dice and gave them to Taem. "Here, you can go first!" Taem "Oh, thanks!" Taem said, taking the dice. Shaking them up in his hands, he let them fall onto the board. "Nine!" he exclaimed, moving his shoe forward. Jazz ((*skips game* XD)) When they had finished playing, the little mouse flopped backwards and laid on the soft rug. "Wow, that took a long time! But it was a really fun game, I think. Did you like it?" He twisted around onto his stomach so he was facing Taem, and rested his chin on his hands, his tail flicking behind him curiously.Taem Taem blinked, looking at Jazz as he flopped onto the rub. "Yeah it did. But it was a lotta fun!" the white fox giggled. He wrapped his arms around his crossed legs and grinned at Jazzy. "So what do you wanna do now?" Jazz "Hmm.." The little mouse tapped his chin thoughtfully, then looked up at the other. "I don't know! What do you wanna do? Any ideas?" He shifted again and sat on his behind, pulling his knees to his chest and resting his chin on his knees. "I can't think of anything to do! There has to be something.." Taem "Wwweeeelllllll..." the white fox looked around. "I'm not sure! What else is there to do? And why aren't there others around?" Taem would have thought that there would be more people about! Jazz "Hmm.. I don't know where any others are! I don't live with anyone else, so I don't know.. Maybe they're all busy? But there must be something we can do.. Maybe hide and go seek?" Taem "Ooohh... Maybe." Taem murmured, looking around the empty shop again. "Hide and seek? Ooh, that's a great idea!" Jazz Jazz nodded. "Yes, I think they're all just busy." He sat up and clapped his hands at the other's last statement. "Oh boy, that will be so much fun! Do you want to seek first, or should I?" Taem Taem giggled and rolled himself into a sitting position. "Uuumm... You can seek first, I'll hide!" Jazz He jumped up, giggling. "Okay!" He said excitedly, then ran over to a bare wall and leaned against it, covering his eyes with his small hands and began to count slowly. "One, two, three..." Taem Taem grinned and waited for Jazz to start counting. When he did, the fox scurried to find a hiding spot. He found a nice spot under a table with a cloth in a different room. Diving under it, Taem was trying to calm himself down so he didn't giggled and give away where he was. Jazz "Eighteen, nineteen, twenty!" He exclaimed, jumping away from the wall with a flourish. "Ready or not, here I come!" He called, then began bounding around the room. He peeked behind the couch, poked his head around the chairs, and checked inside the cabinets. "Hmm.. Oh Taem!" He called, giggling, as he skipped into another room with a cloth-covered table. He peeked around the furniture again, wondering where he'd find the foxboy. Oh, how he loved hide-and-seek! Taem The black-haired fox put a hand over his mouth as he heard Jazz finish counting. He had to keep quiet! Taem had to try really hard. It was so tempting to laugh as his ears twitched, hearing Jazzy call out. Jazz Jazzy giggled, peeking around more furniture in an attempt to find his friend. He lifted up the cloth on the table and peeked under it, then burst into a fit of giggles. "Found you, Taem! My turn to hide, now!" Taem Taem was trying so hard not to make a sound. But when Jazz suddenly looked under the table to find him, the fox let out a shreech. "Eeee! You found me! You're too good, no fair!" he laughed, tail twitching behind him. Jazz The little mouse broke into a giggle fit again, his tail twitching as well. "I'm not that good! But now it's my turn to hide!" He said, moving out of the way but still holding the cloth up so the other would be able to get out. Taem Taem made a face and crawled out. "Yes you are!" he argued, grinning. "Okay, better get ready!" Standing up and brushing off his white and black clothes, the fox turned to the closest wall. "One... two... three..." Jazz He giggled again, dropping the cloth. "Am not!" He giggled more. He waited for Taem to begin counting, then he dashed off into another room to go hide. Hmm, where to hide, where to hide... He managed to find what he thought was a good hiding place, and waited there for Taem, trying not to giggle. Taem Taem's ears twitched as Jazzy dashed off. Still counting, the fox made sure to try and listen to where the mouse was heading. When he had gotten to twenty, Taem sneakily began to hunt for the mouse. Jazz The mouse's delicate ears twitched as the last number was said, and he forced himself to remain quiet and still in his hiding place, lest he give away his location. The front room was a perfect place for him to hide, he had decided. Good hiding places, too. Taem Searching, Taem was grinning from ear to ear as he looked. Jazz had to be somewhere! "I'm going to fiiiinnnddd you!" the fox called out, keeping an eye out for any fluttering cloth over a table. Jazz The little mouse managed to barely stifle a giggle, making sure not to move or make any noise at all whatsoever, to avoid drawing attention to himself. He knew that he'd eventually be found, despite his hiding place. Coat closets really were wonderful things; full of coats of different colors and lengths, along with a mass of shoes and/or boots at the bottom. Hidden in the back corner of the dark closet was Jazz, standing behind the longest coats and trying to blend in. Hey, he was grey, after all. Taem Taem checked under every table and every possible space Jazz could have squeezed into. When he didn't find the mouse in there, the fox started hunting elsewhere. He tried to keep his humming to himself as he started opeing things. Even the cabinets in the kitchen! Grabbing a cookie, Taem munched on it. "Mmm... Cookies are so delicious! Maybe I'll just eat the rest..." he said out loud, hoping Jazz would hear. Was he cheating? But of course not - he was merely trying a different strategy! Jazz Jazz shifted a bit, getting into a more comfortable position. He couldn't make out anything Taem said, just the fact that he said something. How was he supposed to hear exactly what the fox said from at least one room over, when he was in a coat closet hiding behind all of the coats and jackets? However, he assumed Taem was attempting to get him to come out of hiding, and he stifled a quiet giggle. Taem The fox heard nothing and pouted. Darn, it didn't work! Munching on the rest of the cookie, Taem strolled into the next room, keeping his eyes wandering. "Oh where could Jazzy be...? In this room? Or maybe somewhere else..." he murmured aloud again, eyeing the closet. Jazz The little mouse stifled another giggle, hearing the fox's mumbling louder, assuming he'd come into the room the closet was in. But, would he find him? He doubted it, stifling another giggle.
And then, it hit. His nose itched a bit, so he carefully lifted his hand to rub it gently to make it stop, but that was in vain. He wiggled his nose a bit, his eyes beginning to water a tad, then his hands flew to his mouth and nose quickly. The dust in this closet was too much for his sensitive nose. "ACHOO!!" He squeaked loudly, doubling over as he sneezed, then straightening back up quickly. Oh, crap.. Taem would've heard that easily. Oh well, maybe he'd find a good hiding place next time where he wouldn't sneeze. Taem Taem was about to leave the room when he thought he heard something rustle. His ears wiggled as he scooted towards the cloest. Was that where Jazz was hiding? And then there was a tremendous sneeze. Yep! Opening the closet, Taem grinned widely and pushed away some of the hanging clothes. "Well hello Jazzy!" Jazz The mouse giggled, clambering out of the closet. "I guess I didn't keep myself hidden for too long, huh? Dust gets to my nose, so I guess I shouldn't hide in there again!" He giggled, shutting the closet behind him. "Okay, your turn to hide!" He said, turning to the closet door and covering his eyes, beginning to count. "One, two, three, four..." Taem "Nope you didn't! You need to find a better spot! Maybe someplace without dust." Taem chuckled as Jazz came out. But as the mouse started to count, the fox scurried to go find a new hiding place. But where!? Jazz "I'll find a better spot next time!" He giggled in between numbers. He kept his eyes covered, the end of his tail flicked a bit as he continued to count. "Six, seven, eight..."

Jazz and Llyr11/14/06 to ? (stopped sometime in november but I didn't catch the date)Jazz Mmm, soda. Who knew that it tasted so good? The little mouse was very grateful his friend Taem had introduced him to the delicious beverage, as he'd never tried it before. He held a full can of soda in his hands, fiddling with the metal pull-tab on the top. Why they made the cans so hard to open, he'd never know, but oh well. He walked from the kitchen into a living room, so it seemed, and he plopped himself down in the nearest comfy place, which happened to be a couch. He adjusted himself, getting comfortable, then set about trying to open the can again. Darned thing.. Llyr A soft, almost squeaky yawn was heard fromt he sleepy mouse, a hand rubbing at his red hue. he hadn't slept well that night, his step brother Remi totally angery with him and made him sleep ont he couch. So he'd put a few dead spiders in his bed again and oen that wasn't..... quite so dead.. in his bed again. That wasn't a reason to kick him out of their room was it? Well... he didn't think so. Walking through the livingroom, sythe in hand, he noticed another such as himself strugglign with a can of pop. Smilign to himself, he paused for a moemnt. " Let me help" he siad, takignt he tip of his sythe and tapped it a few tiems on the pop and it finally pushed the little tabby down. Jazz Jazz was so busy with his can of soda he hadn't heard the entrance nor the quiet yawn from the other. He hadn't even noticed the other mouse until the offer, and then the sharp scythe suddenly right in front of him didn't help. He squeaked in surprise, nearly dropping the can, but managed to calm himself before he did so. Staring at his now open can of soda, he blinked a couple times as his tail twitched, and he looked up at the other, before a meek smile appeared on his face. "Oh, you startled me there. I wasn't expecting anyone else to be in here anytime soon, but I suppose I can't really expect that in such a place as this, can I?" He said with a nervous smile, then inspected his can of soda carefully before taking a large sip of it, then looked up at the other again. "I'm Jazz, what's your name?" Llyr "Sorry for startling you" The green mouse said softly, setting his scythe in its normal upright position. "I'm Llyr, its nice to meet y ou Jazz" He smield and sat down in the seat across from him. he leaned his weapon agaisnt the wall and gleefulyl snuggled down intot he chair into a little ball. "This is my second time here... so I neve rknow when the busy hours are here" he said softly. Jazz "Oh no, it's no problem, I'm very easily startled," he said with another nervous smile, his tail twitching constantly, "I always have been, I don't know why. Anyways, that's a neat name. It's nice to meet you!" He stated in a more cheerful tone, managing to calm himself down after taking a swig of his soda. He then tilted his head, watching the other carefully. "This is your second time here? Wow, it's my second time, too! I don't know when the busy times are, either, I'm always hoping I miss them, I don't like crowds much. Too much noise, it hurts my ears." He frowned down at his can of soda, tracing the circular rim on the top with his middle finger, then looked up at Llyr while continuing this action. "I at least kind of figured out where some of the stuff is in the kitchen, which is good. I like to cook, especially grilled cheese sandwiches." Llyr "I love the noise and the crowds! So many things to look at and peopel to meet" he smield and sighed softly as he rested hsi head agaisnt the arm of t he chair. he was curled perfectly into it, his tail keepign his skirt from flashing t he other. " I had my step brotehrs sorta show me around... t hey're both so... w hat the word... gaga over their soon to eb mates" he rolled hsi eyes a bit."Mmm... grilled cheese is the best... or melted cheeze in a soft taco shell si good too!" he grinned softly. Jazz He wiggled his toes, taking another sip of his soda, and pulled his legs close to him, wrapping his slender tail around one of his ankles. "My ears are too sensitive for loud noises. I've just always disliked them for some reason, although I can't remember why," he confessed, taking another sip of his beverage. "I don't mind meeting new people, in fact I do like it a lot, but it's just the crowds and the noise I don't like.. Just..ugh." He stifled a little yawn, then looked at the other curiously. "Well, you're lucky you had someone to show you around, then. I only know my way around the kitchen!" He exclaimed with a giggle, his tail flicking out to rest on the cushion beside him. "Oh, I love grilled cheeses.. They're so easy to make, and they're so delicious, too.. Tacos? I've never had a taco before, I don't think.. But if it has cheese in it, it must be good!" Llyr Blond locks fall aroudn hsiface as his hood fell back a bti since he was inside and talkign with another. HIs ear twtiched, causing his earring to roll and hide withing the golden locks. "I have a high tollerance for loud sounds, silence isn;t my thing... freaks me out bleh" he shivered and twitched as if to further express his dislike. "I can onyl fall asleep to music, unless I'm really tired" he explaiend for no reason whats so ever. "MMm... tacos are like.... are the best food ever created in the whole wide world!" he giggled softly. "I'll ahve to take you out for a taco one day then Jazz!" Jazz The little gray mouse finished his soda, setting the empty can on a table near the couch. He tilted his head a bit as he watched the other's hood fall, noticing a shiny glint dangling from his ear. "I like silence, but I do love music.. Falling asleep to music is nice," he said, standing up and walking over to Llyr's chair, leaning down to inspect the earring, talking softly, absent-mindedly. "I like the piano and the violin, I wish I could play them both well but I can only play a couple little tunes on the piano.." He murmured, reaching up and gently fingering the shiny earring. So shiny.. Shiny things were almost as good as cheese. He blinked a few times and let go of the earring, coming out of his shiny trance, and he straightened up and blushed a bit. "Sorry.. I just noticed the tiny earring dangling and I wanted to see what it was, and it was shiny, and..yeah.." He blushed a bit more, his cheeks flushed with pink which was easily noticable under his gray fur. "Oh, I'd love to try tacos, they sound wonderful!" He exclaimed, changing the subject. "Do you know a good place to get them?" Llyr Red hues watched hte other mouse come near, wondering what he was doing. His ear twitched when his earring was fiddled with, his eyes watching very carefully. " I can play the keyboard a bit.... but thats as good as I get" he smiled as golden locks slipped away frot he earring. "Hehe its okay, its cool ne? It hurt alot to get it in there though" he said softly, poking the silver cuff the little sckull was attatched too. "The ebst place is my house, Remi makes the best taco's ever! He puts loads of cheese in mine for me and not alot of spice cause it makes my tummy hurt" he relied with a swish of his green tail. Jazz "A keyboard is just like a piano, except.. a whole lot bigger," he said with a giggle, then trotted to the couch and flopped onto it. "Yeah, it's a really neat earring. I'd never be able to put earrings in, my ears are too sensitive.." He rubbed one of his ears gently, then it twitched as he removed his hand and placed it on the couch, then watched the other with his head tilted to the side again. "Ooh, that sounds wonderful! I don't like spicy things much either, but cheese is just wonderful." Llyr "Oh! We shoudl go to my house then! I'm sure Remi would make us taco's! He's at home making cookies for his 'soon to be mate' " He giggled and sat up quickly. He grabbed his scythe then hurried over and tookt he others hand. "COme on! You have to try these! Jazz it'll be lots of fun! I can play a song for you and show you my room!" Llyr jumped in excitment. He'd never had someoen over before! Well... he hadn't ever really had friends before. Jazz "Ooh, really? He could make us some tacos? That would be wonderful! What kind of cookies is he making?" The little grey mouse asked curiously, allowing the other to take hold of his hand and lead him. "I bet they'll be wonderful! And I can't wait to hear you play a song, I haven't heard anyone else play in...I don't even know if I ever have!" He giggled, following the other mouse. This was exciting! He'd never went over a friend's house before, this was sure to be fun. Llyr "I think he's making sugar cookies int he shape of Christmas trees! Oooh he makes hte best food ever!" Llyr cheered and led the other out and ontot he street. He had an excited skip in his step as he walked. "Well... I'm not veyr good... but I'e never playe din front of anyone else, but it might be fun to see what someone else thinks beside myself and Enikil" Jazz "Ooh, I love sugar cookies!! Especially ones with frosting, they're to die for!" Jazz giggled, picturing the wonderful cookies in his head as he closed the door behind them. "I can't wait to try his cooking, it sounds delicious! And I bet you can play very well, I can't wait to hear it! Maybe I can teach you some of the songs I know, too! Ooh this is going to be so much fun!" He grinned and let out another giggle. Ooh, this would be fun.

Jazz and Ryker11/16/06 to ? (stopped sometime in november but didn't catch the date)Jazz Which one, which one, hmm.. Decisions were so irritating, especially when it came to edible things. Which to have? Orange soda, or grape soda? He couldn't very well have both, that'd be too icky. Hm.. The gray mouse picked the can of orange soda out of the fridge, then straighted up and walked towards the kitchen exit, gently kicking the fridge door closed behind him. He rounded the corner and plopped himself down into the nearest comfy chair, the simple gold decorations scattered about his flowing garmets clinking together metallically as he did so. His tail flicked out beside him and twitched a bit as he managed to open the top of the can, taking a sip of the cool beverage afterward. Man, soda was good.. He was very glad his friend had introduced him to this wonderful drink. Ryker Ugh. It was about time he got out of the house. Kids, immature adults, crazy people in general. It was so nice to be here, away from all that. It was quiet, peaceful. Ryker sighed and flopped down onto a couch, letting his gaze wander. Oh, look, someone he didn't know. Despite all the people, he was still feeling social. Smiling, he got up and moved over, "Hello!" Jazz This time, lucky Jazz, he'd actually noticed the other hybrid before being startled by a sudden greeting, so he was able to offer the other a friendly smile after lowering his can of soda. "Hello there, I've not seen you around here before! Then again, I've not been here long, so that isn't saying much. Anyway, my name's Jazz! What's yours?" This hybrid seemed friendly and sociable so far, why be nervous?
