Zahi'jyotsna grumbled as he stomped along, no direction known to him that he should go. His heart hurt, but not with pain. No, something more like bitterness.

He had been raised with a family of females, and thus was heavily influenced on how they lived. But once he had grown out his mane, they had deemed him too much of an uncomfortable presence, and had kicked him out. Regardess that they had known him his whole life, he had still been kicked out.

Now his bitterness would most likely be held against any female he came across.

His large, curly mane rested on his shoulder regally as his braid shifted as he walked. Something that reminded him of his old life, but it had become so second-natured to keep himself prim and proper, he would never cast it aside. Perhaps he held it to keep his bitterness right where he wanted it; next to his heart.

The lion's ears, just barely peeking out from his massive mane, was catching difference noises that he was unattuned to. Obviously new things were around him, he just didn't know whether to pay attention or keep drowning in his self pity. The lands were much less lush then his homelands. A dry, dusty place with the savannah grasses itching his legs, the warm sun slowly inching it's way towards it's daily rest.

Hmm. Pity sounded better, but that wouldn't help him catch a snack.

Taking in distances by foot always took a long time. But once and a while Bathsheba grew tired of soaring over the landscape in such an impersonal manner. So despite how dry the area she was in was currently she had decided to be grounded for a while. Some gods and goddesses chose to hide their forms while walking among mortals, but she didn't bother. She remained in her true for openly, for somehow...casting an illusion made her feel as if she were hiding. That was something she would not do.

She padded along with light, graceful steps, keeping her pace lacked and composed. Her head held high she scanned the landscape with violet orbs, her braid trailing down to her back. As her legs brushed against the tall stalks of grass she spotted a shape in the distance. It was hard not to notice, for the figure was a smooth hade of lilac. She did not change her coarse, mild curiousity pooling in her being.

White ears flicked a bit, picking up, albeit lightly, the paw steps of another. As a usual reflex was for most, he turned to see just what was walking around. His grey eyes focused on the form away from him, trying to make out details. Not sure what it was, but he was sure about something; wings.

He knew about gods, had heard stories all his life on how he was to respect them. Bah! Respect meant nothing to the male anymore. how could he give respect if no one ever gave him any.

"Hmph." He pouted. "Haughty god, I bet. Juuuust great to run into."

He stopped his pace and sat down, looking over at the god. He'd heard that they could sense when another was near, but was it really true? He had nothing else to do, might as well try to find out.

Sheba drifted closer slowly, her sharps senses alert, though she didn't show any abnormal tension. She sensed something mildly wrong with this mortal, but she couldn't quite pin-point it. It was in small moments like this she silently cursed herself for not completely mastering her abilities. Being close was not good enough. She had to get better. But pushes those thoughts aside for the moment she approuched carefully. Her composure kept her in check and allowed her to greet him formally without trouble, "Greetings."

Zahi did his best to not grimace. A female god. Well, play with what you could. He would do his best to offer her a little respect, for gods could do things that mortals would be fearful of. Well, what he heard, anyway.

He didn't bother to give her a bow, just returned her greeting with one of his own. "'Lo there, Goddess." He couldn't help it that his nose twitched when he finished his greeting, though.

Females...there were such tricksters. He'd be careful, for a goddess would be even more intelligent then the average lioness.

If Sheba had heard his thoughts voiced allowed she might have been flattered that he thought females so intellegent. She would have disagreed with him about their natures, however, since trickery was common in both genders. But since that wasn't the case she continued her easy, lofty walk until she was within a few feet of him. She stopped and took a poised, but comfortable stance. While there was composure in her features, they were rather soft and open, at least where Sheba was concerned. "Hello," She tilted her head slightly and shifted her gaze out across the landscape, "Fine day isn't it...?"

While this female seemed...nice enough so far, Zahi wouldn't let himself be decieved. He carefully kept his barriers up, but would try to not act too cold to this goddess. He flopped his tail to his side before answering her lingering, open question.

"A day is fine as long as it doesn't rain." He gave a calm offering of his taste of weather. "It's hard for a rogue to find decent shelter."

His calm answer seemed to linger on the air. He didn't like the awkward tone his voice left, and thus offered his name instead.

"Zahi'jyotsna is my name. It's a....pleasure to gain your aquaintance." While deep inside it didn't feel like a pleasure, might as well put up a front of respect.

"I believe that is a matter of opinion. Some might like the rain," Sheba said with mild amusement. Somehow it was hard to feel extremely stiff when the one she was speaking to was even more uptight then she. That didn't mean she was going to loose her composure, of course, but it did mean she was prone to be a little more friendly. "I am called Bathsheba. It is very nice to meet you," she nodded her head politely with graceful elegence.

"Rain is not nice when you have no wat to escape it," he grumped, just thinking about it bugged him. His violet eyes scanned the goddess in front of him. She seemed nice enough, but it could all be a facade, enough to throw him off from his grudge held deep inside.

"You seem..." he wasn't quite sure of the term to use, so he stumbled through what he wanted to say, "more composed then the normal female."
