The second assignment was a series of 4x6 inch paintings done on pieces of plywood. It's a series of apple things. The idea was to take information from a still life we'd done and translate it into something slightly more abstracted/stylized while at the same time referencing a well-known contemporary artist. Mine was Nara Yoshitomo...although my work has a slightly different feel to it than his.



they're um...cute. But i also thought i might make them into actual post cards to send to people. I actually have a uge obsession of post cards that i started with buying them but the truck loads in france.
