Mommy was so nice t bring him here. So many soft things. They felt so nice against his fur. Which was still bare for a most part apart from a pair of shorts which Silen had finally managed to yank on him after much protest and tantrums. Still now it was all okay since his nice guardian had brought him here. ‘Here’ actually being the D-corp playroom. The soft things being a vast amount of soft and fluffy stuffed animals which he had gathered around himself, hooking them to him with long claws. He sat in the centre of them with a contented expression clutching his precious blue blanket in one hand while he arranged the soft toys with the other. He hooked another toy over to him and set the cuddly cat atop a soft white rabbit.

Silen watched him over the top of her book. Sitting on one of the large beanbag chairs set in the room, having moulded it to the right shape, long legs crossed in front of her. It brought a smile to her lips that Taren could be so easily ‘bribed’ into calming after a tantrum. Well not a tantrum, but his eyes would go big behind the glasses and he would sniffle and look genuinely pathetic until he got his way. He loved all the soft toys here since he had only a few of his own and you needed quite a amount to construct a fort like structure which he was currently building.

Seeing how Nibal had already run out of coloring sheets, Peri had bribed the boy into staying in his office by promising to take Nibal to the playroom later on that day if he was still there when Peri returned. Nibal had been thrilled by that idea, which helped take his mind off of his 'growth spurt' as Peri put it. The boy's skin was starting to tinge more towards blue and the little stubs of legs looked rather odd.

The two were a bit surprised to see someone else already in there. Nibal eyed the child warily. Of the first two kids he'd met, one had made scary faces at him and the other had a scary mom. What surprises lay in store with this innocent looking mole boy?

Peri let Nibal down to play and took a seat in one of the chairs near the door. Nibal pulled himself over to Taren. "Wha'cha doin'?"

Taren looked up from his activities at the sound of the voice and then immediately snuggled back into his soft toy pile. The last child he had met had only been determined to take things of his, she had even taken his glasses. He put a protective long fingered hand over the thick lens at the memory, peering out at the rather odd looking child through his claws. “Building soft place.” He squeaked, high and nervous at the other creature. At first he though that the thing had no legs at all before he noticed the little stumps sticking out. How very odd. Still he might be mean like the last one and he found all strangers frightening to a certain extent anyway. He was safe in his fort though. Maybe a peace offering would make sure he wouldn’t take his glasses. He picked up a fluffy an oversized stuffed mouse from the pile at his side and held it out to the blue tinged child. “You can have this.” He told him.

There was a hole in his wall now, a gap that seemed somhow very wrong but it was worth it if the other would then leave the rest alone, or at least this was the childish logic that the mole boy was working with as he outstreched his arm earing the offering further past the toy wall.

Nibal reached out to take the 'peace offering' and look at it. Quizically, he frowned over the toy for a moment before holding it up and looking over his shoulder back at his parent. "P'las! What dis?"

Peri glanced up. "A mouse." He stated, then returned to leafing through a folder of some sort.

Satisfied, Nibal put the toy back in the pile next to Taren and pulled another toy out of it. "Dis?"

Peri sighed and looked up again. "A lizard. Now ask the boy if you can look at the other toys."

Nibal frowned. He'd forgotten that. "Look?" He asked the mole kid, then added, "please?" to satisfy his father. Peri was trying to insert some sort of manners in the kid, which is not easy to do with toddlers.

Taren watched Nibal nervously when he started looked up at his father. He stiffened slightly when the lizard was taken from the pile but relaxed again when it was replaced with the mouse, a trade of sorts. That seemed reasonable and he set about setting the mouse back in it’s appropriate place.

At the question he looked around at the toys doubtfully. Nibal seemed nice enough and he was polite. Mommy sin always said that was a good thing. He looked over at his adopted parent for instruction and maybe a little reassurance.
He got it in the form of that warm smile he liked so much and a firm nod. She also mouthed the word “share.” He paused thinking about this for a moment, it seemed that that Nibal wasn’t the only one being infused with good manners. He looked shyly at the tadpole and eventually nodded. “okay. Lookie.” He informed him in approval of the request. His guardian smiling about the fact that he had at least this meeting was gong well so far.

Nibal grinned. The boy was nice, like Anoki, and his mommy wasn't scary. He looked at the lizard in his hands, then gestured with the toy around him. "Builds?" Perhaps they could build the animal fort about both of them.

Peri relaxed. At least this child was surrounded by stuffed animals. Surely Nibal couldn't come to some sort of harm or fright. And the kid was Nibal's own age, or at least much closer than the other kids the boy had met thus far.

Taren moved closer t Nibal then, well at least as close as he could mange within the toy fort, peering over the wall of arranged toys. He smiled. "Builds." He repeated in confirmation. He liked this boy, he was going to help him build one of his special places instead of just steal it. Deffinatly a postive thing in his eyes. He pointed over at a box against the wall, it was stacked with more soft plushies. It appeared that Taren hasn't depleated his entire supply yet. "Get mo'e to builds." He told him as usualy always having diffculty with those R's.

Silen smiled, watching for a while, well it appeared that Taren might actaully make a friend, that was a pleasent surprise. Feeling satsified with the current events and her childs welfare, she crossed long legs, settled comfortably back down in the beanbag chair and continued to read.

Nibal grinned, happy that this boy was going to let him build as well. "'Kays." He moved to the toy chest and pulled out more of the stuffed animals. Once he'd gotten his arms full, he started to move back to Taren, then paused, confused. How was he going to do this?

Eventually, the boy put some of the animals down and left one arm loaded and tucked against his side, then used the free arm to move back over to the mole boy. "'Ere." Then he went back and fetched the animals he'd had to put down.

Taren frowned and tilted his head. The boy wasn't very efficiant at moving, also it looked hard. The mole boy felt a pang of compassion for the resticted tadpole with his comicaly short legs. He hesitated for a long tim and then closing his eyes with a squeak he pushed down one of the wall of his fort. If they were going to make it bigger they would have to extend it anyway to fit both of them inside, still it was somwhat distressing for him to see his effort dystroyed.

He walked over to Nibal, he couldn't help still being slightly shy of the strange looking creature so he gave he walked around him by a rather wide margin and gatherd the toy's into his own arms, his spade hands actaully helping him to gather more into and holding them against his chest. He walked back and set them down in the now growing pile.

Nibal glanced over at the squeak, watching the wall fall with some amusement. Like most boys, he enjoyed watching things fall over. Like his block towers. They were fun to knock over. Much more fun than actually building them, but you had to build the tower so that you could knock it down.

With as many toys as he could hold in one arm, Nibal followed after Taren and added the animals to the pile. Now, surely they had enough to build a huge fort!

The budding builder set about the first stages of construction, mainly clearing the construction site of the fallen toys, which was a remarkably simple task with such large paddle claws and he needed little help from Nibal in this activity. Then he added the fallen toys to the pile. He smiled and nodded in satisfaction now.

"Builds now!" He chimed brightly and excitedly, he wanted to start building it back now and it wouldbe bigger! That in itself made the destruction worth it. He started putting the toys atop eachothero create a new wall.

Nibal grinned and started adding stuffed animals to the growing wall. He was careful, hoping that the wall wouldn't topple on its own. Sometimes, when he wasn't careful, his block towers would fall over before he was finished with them.

Taren smiled and peered at the other boy through thick lens, a quick glance, shy once again. Unsure. He was no longer able to hide in his fort until it was built and Nibal was frighteningly close but he seemed nice enough so Taren sat down, making sure Nibal didn't catch him staring and began to build up his part of the wall, he was proficent at it and the wall was surprisingly stable for somthing made of stuffed animals. When the wall was almost finished he stepped into the circle or more acurattly odd shaped oval and motioned ibal to follow so they could finish the last part and they would be concealed inside.

Nibal was in the middle of adding a brown monkey to the pile when Taren gestured for them to step inside. He placed the chimp on the wall, then watched as the mole boy stepped over the wall. He frowned, trying to figure out how to get inside without knocking a wall over.

Taren waited for the tadpole boy to join him quite patiently, sitting down even and crossing his legs to wait. It was quite a while before the teen realised what was preventting Nibal from joining him and that the boy's atonomy and limbs simply didn't allow him to so easily step over the low structure. He frowened. And of course when such a dimilar occured there was only one thing to do. "Mummy." The mole boy called looking over at his adoptive parent as she set down the book and pulled his tall frame from the comfortable beanbag. "what is it Taren love?"
"hes can't get in." he said
Silen smiled, a problem eaily rectified. She held her arms out to the other todler. "Welldear shall I lift you in?"she asked with a easy pleasent smile.
