First I’d like to ask is it useful for using Japanese kids shows for learning Japanese? I figured since they talk slowly that it would be easier to pick up on what they are saying to get a better listening comprehension. also I’d like to ask if any of you have any websites or URL's like YouTube for Japanese children shows if you'd paste them =D
when i say kids shows i mean like the one posted here for like toddlers and such

(I was also hoping for Aiko's opinion)

I've asked this like three times, so I'm waiting with you on a reply. Let's hope together that someone comes here. I post here to leave my mark!

like a Japanese show like Sesame Street... not like a mere /dub/ of Sesame street i'd hope (although that would probably have me rolling with laughter X D)... but like, shows in Japanese meant for children.

Personally, I think it would be extremely helpful. I know when I was learning German that I would watch television aimed for five to eight year olds, simply because that was where I was on the learning curve.

Kind of related, but I found this really cute website with illustrations of kanji characters, like the ones in my grade one workbook.

Also there is 1 Litre of Tears. Again I'm not sure if you would be into it, but its good. I can recognise alot of the words being spoken in the show without having to read the subtitles.

A penpal told me about a show, she says it's a really sad drama called 1リットルの涙. (Ichi rittoru no namida). Perhaps you should check it out?

I saw that. It was really cute, but like halfway through the segments in the second episode on YouTube, the videos stopped working... gonk

...Momo reminds me of this guy from a book I read...the Raging Quiet, if anyone's ever read that. Guess who I think he's like...?

I've found that watching Japanese TV is a really good way to practice. I don't know about the kids' shows so much, since we don't watch a lot of them, but I watch a lot of the same shows as my host siblings (11, 15) and host parents, which means anything from little kids' anime to dramas to Shogi lessons. Anime tends to be easiest, as it's mostly aimed at the younger crowds. コジコジ (Koji koji) is one that we watched today, which is kind of dull (it's for little kids after all), but generally good practice.

Also all sorts of normal teenager-anime, and a drama called 14才の母 (juuyon sai no haha), which is more challenging but its plot makes it easier to understand. Definitely helpful to watch tv, though, especially if you don't have a way to practice conversation a lot.
