Ok wondering why Helena knows Kokoro and ask's her to master her style? well Helena uses Pi Qua Quan, a type of Wushu Kung Fu, and it was created from Kokoro's Wushu Kung Fu stlye Baijiquan.

Oh but wait, there are other more famous Baijiquan and Pi Qu Quan users. And beleive me they are much more well known then Helena or Kokor

Baijiquan Kung Fu Master........AKIRA YUKI FROM VIRTUA FIGHTER!!!
betcha thought he used a form of Karate didn't you? well he actually teaches Kung Fu

There's always a desire for a Martial Arts master to pass on their style to a young desciple of a similiar style. It's a Shaolin thing, kinda like Sing in Shaolin Soccer.

related to Helena by having the same father (I think, haven't been playing it much lately gonk )
