Muzitii nodded her head at him with a smile. "I think so, too. It's getting rather cold down here anyway." She said, and she began to swim up, though making sure she still had her fin on his. "Come on, I definitly don't want to get lost down here." She said with a chuckle.

Vi grunted, ascending with her toward the surface. "I'm impressed, most everyone I meet is afraid to venture into the abyss... But you're not like them." He didn't know why he felt that he needed to point this out, but he just had to say it. Muzi was just so different from anyone he had met, she made him feel strange, as if he had a friend for the first time. He hated showing this much emotion, though most whales would think that he was still clammed up, and quickly withdrew his fin from hers as soon as they could see clearly.

He took a deep breath of air from the surface, letting his lungs feel relaxed again as he continued to try to figure out what was so different about his new... Friend.

Muzi looked over at him as he surfaced, then joined him a moment later. She smiled as the cold air filled her, and she slipped back into the water again, staying close to the surface now. Her dorsal fin stuck up through the water, a curious seagull examining it from above.

"Ah, that's better." She said happily, her fins moving back and forth with delight. "And no, I'm not like most other whales. I don't fear the dark, actually it's rather intriguing to me." She said with a mischevious smile.

Vi pulled himself under the water the rest of the way, his dorsal fin barely peeking out of the water.

"I suppose." He said simply, still turning the thought over in his mind. "But you're also really happy. Why?" He asked, sounding curious for the first time. "Why does there always have to be a bright side?"
