didn't really want to read it, all it was was the games through Blackrose's perspective what I want to read thats a retelling is .hack//XXXX fricking Cubia shows up in as a PC and fights one the shadow Innus and kills it with one hit~desu

i liked it a lot it put a whole diffrent view of black rose and went deeper into her character. It also filled a lot of holes that the game created in black rose's past. But yeah AI buster was better

I read it, it was okay I finished it within an hour or so of starting it. Was it just me or was the dialog off by a bit in the begining? I mean it seemed that when Kite and Blackrose met Kite was the bossy pushy one instead of Blackrose.
and as for AI busters never read it.

I like it, and it was off in the begining, with the Kite/Blackrose thing. They totally screw that up and in some other places. Meh. I like Ai Buster the best and I think 4 Koma kicks all. But I really like Another Birth and can;t wait to get the last 2 books

I've read 1-3 of Another Birth, I think they're my favorite .hack novels. They help explain some stuff, and it's nice to see Akira's point of view.

I found Another Birth to be better than A.I Buster. Instead of focusing on the online self of a character, it focuses more on the offline self. In Another Birth, it focuses on Akira's hardships, friends and basically her social life outside of the game. It shows a different perspective to //IMOQ that would hardly be possible without a plot based on the real world.
Besides, Another Birth made me an Akira Hayami fanboy.

the terror of death 07 vol 1 is pretty good black rose looks like a hooker BlackRose dresses skimpily. But Akira on the other hand is way different. Who cares if BlackRose dresses like a hooker, look at Helba.
