Aziz darted nervously about, the stabbing pain in her left shoulder already sinking in just seconds after the adrenaline wore off and the memory of Carius’s slam ressurfaced. She scattered herself, her lean and old bone body rattling as she fixed herself in a safer pose, wedge besides a grey rock. He’d be coming any second now- and she only had a few seconds to remind him why he kept her around. The worry sent a tremor through her body, and bitterly she tucked her tail between her legs. b*****d. All of them.

But he didn’t come just yet- there was nothing but silence and the huff of her own breath. It was dark in these portions of the woods, and she became eerily considerate if perhaps she had wandered too far. She wasn’t on Phib’s lands- was she? Meekly, the old female poked her head out from the top of the rock, and glanced about. It didn’t look like his lands, but the damn fool seemed to get more land daily. It was hard to be sure. There was a quiet about this place, however... a quiet that seemed to hint of a pack.

Then the quiet was shattered as Carius stomped forwards, his monsterous body half blocking out the wood around her. “AZIZ!” He snarled, and slapped her across the top of the head. Aziz yelped and sunk to the ground with a toothy grimace. “You left me with the witch!” He howled.

“You stupid ********,” Aziz hissed. “You left me! I came and got you back.”

Carius gave another bitter slap, and climbed on top of the rock. “Idiot woman!” He gurgled, but he could not argue further. He was already forgetting the event. Aziz was around- and that was good. Just as long as she didn’t leave him with any witches. Out of the corner of his eyes- he noticed she was slinking off.

“STAY.” Carius snapped, and gruffly sucked in a breath. Aziz lowered herself to the dirt and snorted.

“These are pack lands, you idiot.”

Carius skewed his face. He could take them, couldn’t he? Bah. Nervous Aziz. She knew nothing of him! She probably was just trying to trick him again anyways. Although...he couldn’t remember what had happened the last time...

It was then, that a small brown child who had been curiously watching the scene decided to flush himself out. “These are lands!” Dorian blistered. “You best be going!” He snapped, and curled his tail.

Bitterly- both Aziz and Carius turned their faces towards the child.

"Are you going to teach me something today?" Alianne chirped happily. Prancing in a large circle around the less hagard Meskeet she didn't bother to contain her excitement. "To skin something alive maybe? Or kill a deer all by myself perhaps?"

Meskeet snickered. Pups were some of the most annoying creatures dumped on the planet. The fact that they kept popping up around her had to be a sign of a terribly supernatural joke.

Never the less they could be, at least, shaped and molded to whatever one so pleased.

"Better. You're going to learn to be quiet." She glowered down at the pale pup just as Ali skidded to a halt beside her with disappointed eyes. "Silence is golden. And it can be very useful in some situations." Gazing up at the path again she continued with a knowing gleam in her eyes. "Besides, if you don't learn as quickly as you should, I'll be sure you're never given the opportunity to talk again."

And she meant it in a less than friendly manner.

Though for some reason or another Meskeet had dropped in health and muscle recently she was steadily gaining it all back. With all the plans she had it wouldn't do to become worn and useless. Not until they'd been completed.

Just as she'd expected Meskeet stood amongst a cluster of trees and gazed at the scene that had already played itself out in her mind. Two adult wolves, far far far into adulthood and with an edge around them that suspected them of being nicely into old age, arguing and oblivious. Dorian was the first to arrive.

Excellent.

Meskeet refused to have a weak son. The sooner he learned to take charge of others the better.

"Come now Dorian. I see you've found some guests." Meskeet watched them levelly. There was a certain familiarity in the older female that she was quick to place. Even before she'd bothered to venture to the black mother's thoughts she could easily guess who she was. The male she hadn't ever heard of, but from what her day dreams had shown he wasn't very complicated.

Ali sat back at the seer's haunches and teetered uncertainly.

Dorian did not turn to face his mother, but he snorted in approval of her words. “They’re tresspasing.” He explained the obvious and clapped his teeth together a few times. The motion caused Carius to rise up from hounding Aziz, and saunter towards the child. Whatever had happened in his genetics- whether from the bit of dog that flowed through his veins or otherwise, he was certainly a massive wolf. Even old he was massive and muscular- and perhaps it was just for the best that amongst the massive bones and muscle, his brain was about the size of a sparrow’s egg.

“CHILD?” He balked. “Watch your mouth, mother and her cubs.” He spat somewhat unintelligently, before taking a few steps back to shake his head uncomfortably. That feeling- something...

Aziz shifted. She wasn’t the charitable sort, so she made no move to stop Carius from harassing the female with her children. Bah- the sight of them made her sick. There were few things she loathed more then puppies, and with an unstable shudder, she took a few steps back. She wasn’t being charitable- but she was being submissive to whoever it was that had the upperhand. She doubted it could be the female. Things just didn’t work like that; despite what some might say.

Carius’s eye twitched, and found he did not like looking at the female. He returned his look towards the pup. “I’d much rather eat cubs!”

Dorian flustered and shifted. It was a bit troubling, staring down the brute like that. But mother was there! He did not doubt she could handle some old poofy farts.

“Carius, go away.” Aziz spoke lightly as she moved further against the rocks.

“Shut up woman!” He hissed and clapped his teeth together.

Meskeet's eyes narrowed maliciously. Oh what fate could bring. For a wolf such as she her current company could easily prove useful in her short term plans. The ease with which the alpha attempted to command everyone made her happy. He assumed he could present a challenge. Atleast now she could see just how well she was doing with this seer junk.

"Hush Carius. You're a fool to have left the Freelands. Or did you forget where they are?" The brown female had no fear of him, despite how easily he out weighed her. Normally she would have had to out-smart him, which couldn't be hard. But now she didn't bother with it.

"A shame what one Seer can do to a wolf, isn't it? You really should be more careful who's pups you threaten. It wouldn't take much effort to erase what little you do recall. And even less to make you believe you're a squirrel." Her eyes glinted and lingered on him a moment before falling on Aziz. Staying silent a few moments she then grinned knowingly.

"What are the odds, would you say? Of running into Phib's very own mother. Even more so what would be the chances of you running into the one wolf who intends to cause him the most trouble?" Eyes wavering back and forth between the two Meskeet took a few steps foreward to test the ground.

Carius’s hackles stood on end in surprise as the female started to speak of seers. “What do you know of seers?” He demanded sharply, his chest jutting outward in the force of his speech. Paranoia. Paranoia. He knew that feeling, that worm feeling in his head. Was she one of them? He thought he had killed them all! No, no. He’d never killed any of them. It was hard to remember, after that seer had cleaned him dry.

But Aziz was far more concerned over the fact that everyone seemed to know who she was. It was obviously Phib’s doing. She hissed and took a few scrambling steps backward, her back arching and tail curling against her belly. “You know my son.” She muttered. Of course- b*****d always was sure everyone knew about him. He was as arrogant and self loving as his father was, only he wasn’t half the man Hrothmund had been. Bah! They were both nothing. Nothing to her. And then, she put a few things together. This female- she knew of Carius’s seer? Even she barely knew anything about it. And she knew of Phib...

“These woods are full of witches.” Aziz balked. “One on the side of my son, and now you. What troubling creature are you?” She groaned.

Then, Carius put things together.

“You’re Phib’s mother?!” He half roared, and snapped his jaws together.

Aziz simply groaned. Carius stopped the dramatics when he realized he probably had already known about this. Who was Phib again?

Dorian glanced upwards at Meskeet, after retreating a few steps to give the male flailing room. "They're kinda looney." He noted softly.

Meskeet grinned unpleasantly. While she was beginning to become more adapt to such facial expressions, she still held a malevolent air. It was, atleast, an improvement from an utterly unreadable face.

"I am the troubling creature. As time stands." She cooed. They were both rather..looney as Dorian had put it. But with the company she kept she didn't expect much less.

"But trouble for who is the real question of the matter." She mused and took a step to the side in a manner of approach.

Lowering her head, yellow eyes glinted at Carius' every move. He certainly proved amusing. A splendid show could come of him and Phib, the seer toyed with the idea.

"Not so fond of Amelie? Shame. She seems to be the only female Phib really cares about having around. But I guess that leaves little room for you, doesn't it? Tsk. You should teach him better before someone else does."

Alianne grimaced and edged next to Dorian. Two adults versus their one. It almost wasn't fair. After all, the other two were old. That factor cancelled them out in her mind.

But there were a few things about him that gleamed familiarly in her mind.

"Look at that thing around his neck."

Aziz’s body almost convulsed at the statement, and she looked away in agitation. But as foolhardy as she could be- she did not say anything to deny it, wary of inciting the seer to look further into her mind then she already had. She didn’t give a damn about who Phib cared about. Didn’t she?

“I’ve not taught him a single thing,” Aziz snapped. “He cares not for my words. His father had his ear, and he’s never listened elsewhere. And if I know anything about my son,” Which granted, wasn't much considering. "He's had about as many woman as his father. I couldn't care less about some witch whore." For her own children- Aziz had hardly spent much time with them. She remembered Phib as a child- before her actions had inevitably forced weaned him from her. He had always been the crying one. If she had to have picked a winner out of her doomed litter, it would have never been him. She’d only kept him alive because she thought he would scream too loudly.

Dorian sniffed and glanced at the old male. “Ey, he does have something on his neck.” The boy hushed. “I want it.” He suddenly remarked. “If we kill him.”

Drawing air into her lungs Meskeet then sighed. The old had such wealth of information. Phib's father seemed as detestable as Phib himself. Perhaps more.

Poor choosing on Aziz's part.

"All's fair in love and war." She commented drily. "Surley, though, you can't accept nothing for all that you are his mother? After all, he betrayed you, and he's gotten everything he wants. I should think you'd want him to suffer grievances."

Alianne hadn't thought of the object in that way. She'd seen things like it before. But she couldn't remember where. They meant you were different, different from wolves. Aside from the adult male being ancient and stupid she didn't see how he was all that different.

Maybe because he was so big? "I think..I don't think he's a wolf."

Or at least a full one.
