I know it's not DC or Marvel.... but has anyone here read Pride of Baghdad?
It's pretty flippin good, Vertigo has some good comics!

Actually Vertigo is own by DC, that's were they put their more 'mature' comics.

Pride of Baghdad was amazing. I just love how BKV didn't just have it told it one perspective. It's probably my favourite book on the current war out right now.
I have to say that the turtle scene had me tear up a little though.
..I have an incredibly soft spot for turtles, and I think Niko's art helped too.

riiiight riiiight
Vertigo also does Y the last man and Fables, both comics are amazing.
Pride of Baghdad is definitly worth a look.
The end just killed me... like.. tore a hole right through me.
So sad heart
