"Another one, my lord..." Aion smirked, placing his paw onto the cold dank slab of wall before him. Deep in the heart of the sublevels lay his shrine to his god...one which seemed to be empty minus a light which filtered in from the celing as well as a crystal. Turning his head back to gaze at the small rock in the room, his paws lightly treaded towards it as he gently pushed it under the light; illuminating the room. Almost like from a scary story, the walls were covered in pawprints of blood, there had to be at least fourty, with one standing alone from the rest.
"See...I told you, You have no reason not to love me..." Aion whispered, placing his paw over the singled out one on the wall. Smiling almost sadly, he turned around and kicked over the crystal - casting the shrine into darkness.

Stepping out into the cold night air outside the temple, the ebony malu strode in silence, brooding about his thoughts. Often he walked outdoors for miles, and hours on end untill the early morning when he would return to the sublevels and sleep the day away. Scowling at the ground as he walked, the male huffed as his body flowed as he walked...obviously in good shape for being someone whom seemed to like doing nothing.

Elu'ituha strode throughout the temple grounds, calmly inspecting the area. She and her sister had recently come to the temple and it was far different from the heavily forested area they had come from. Taraneh had headed off in one direction while Elu'ituha went in the other. They were searching for a place to rest for the night, and maybe a place to stay for good.
She rounded a corner, and looked around again, tossing her head to get the flop of hair on her head out of her eye. She caught sight of a black and white form striding across the soft sand in her direction. A handsome creature, he seemed to walk without a purpose but it wasn't her right to question him. She smiled gently and continued on her way, if the male chose to speak with her that was alright but if he didn't...well, it didn't matter what happened anyway.

"You're so consumed with pleasing a god which isn't your own...why waste your time with this hate and regret..? The Male's cheek gave a soft flinch as the words still rang fresh in his mind as if it was just yesterday. Exhaling deepily as the cool desert air altered his breath into mist, it was on nights like these where he could really dive into his own subconsious and think without interruption from those other obnoxious malu. Listening to the sounds of his own paws shifting in the sands, it had an odd calming effect on the normally tempermental and cunning male. Aion lived for nights like this....its what made him believe that he still had a shred of humanity left in his frozen heart.
Tilting his head skywards as his face basked in the moon's glow, an object caught his eyes a small distance ahead of him...an immediate frown settling on his face. Great, who on earth would be stupid enough to continue on the same path as he? However, as he neared the Malu became more visible to his eyes...and discovered this was a Maluess. By the time they were mere meters away and her body was fully visible under the white blue glow his heart and body stopped at the same time. For once, a look of disbelief and almost hope sparkled momentarily in his eyes. It couldn't be... "Nilakaee?" He spoke out, just barely hanging on to his deep smooth vocals to keep them from cracking.

As Elu'ituha neared the other Malu she heard him speak a name. She didn't speak as she neared him and caught the name he had spoken as he stopped, his black body softening to a deep silver in the moonlight. "Nilakee?" She heard, and paused herself, the name seemed vaguely familiar...but then she continued toward him and stopped barely three feet away, "I am sorry, but I am not 'Nilakee'. I am called Elu'ituha." she told him softly, looking at him solemnly, and paused again. Unsure of what to say next, which was strange for her, she was usually more adept at things such as this.
The brown Maluess looked at the male with soft eyes filled with a queston and waited for him to make the next move and respond. He seemed...almost sad and terribly unsure and nervous. She didn't understand why, but she wouldn't pry into it. It wasn't her business after all.

Aion blinked, in that instant it seemed his eyes lost all the emotions that they held but a moment ago. It was uncommon for him to keep his feelings on his sleeve, or to even pretend to have them in the first place. Yet when he had seen this Maluess, his frozen heart had cracked as he thought it was that beautiful soul from his past. Yet she, and this would have been too good to be true...which it was. Drawing back up his wall to keep others out, the male dipped his head slightly, gave it a moment shake before lifting his head high.
"Oh, I assumed you to be someone else. No matter....although you do look almost identical. Good evening then, Elu'ituha." Walking in his continued direction, he blinked and glanced back. Had he just been nice...and even called her by her name? Weird. That never happened....perhaps....it was because of her uncanny resemblance to -her-....which made him act so weird.

Elu'ituha blinked at the male who had suddenly seemed to close off. It took only a moment before she stepped forward slightly, "Are you alright? Is there something wrong?" she asked softly ,her dark brown eyes filled with concern, "And please, Call me Elu, it's far easier to say then my full name." She moved a bit closer, "Please, sir, if there's something wrong you should talk about it."
Her long ears suddenly dropped back against her head as she realised she had been prying into something. She didn't know what was coming over her, such things had never happened since she was a small child. "Ah--I apologize." She hung her head slightly, "I don't know what came over me." She glanced away, "It really isn't my business to ask." And yet somehow, she didn't regret asking him to tell her. She didn't know why but there was something that kept her there and had her prying into the males business; which was quite trying as she thought about it.

For the second time that night, Aion was stopped dead in his tracks. Had she just...asked what was wrong? Did she have concern over him? Turning around fully to set his orange orbs on her sad form, something just...creeped him out when he looked at her. It almost literally sent shivers down his spine, yet the male kept his cool. "If you hang your head, people will think you're pathetic. Keep your head high, its a better...look on you." Aion huffed, turning his head to the side to gaze off into the desert before continuing.
"I'm...a little....flustered, at how much you look like her. You...even act like her...its a little disturbing." Of course, he didn't mean it to sound so crude, yet that was the life of Aion, one huge misconception and many masks as if it all were some vast play. "That...is what's bothering, Elu."

Elu's ears perked a perked a bit in response to his explanation and she raised her head, "Ah, I see. And I apologize again for prying, it wasn't my business but I thank you for telling me what was bothering you." She cocked her head at him, a bit of her hair falling into her eyes, "If you like, we could take a walk together. I wouldn't want disturb you at all, but I am new to this place and it would be nice to have some company while I embarrass myself with my ill-knowledge of these things."
She smiled gently, "That is of course, if you're willing to come with me, if ot I understand. You have a right to your privacy as I do of mine, I just thought it might be pleasant and maybe bring your mind off of things that may upset you." She stepped back a bit and waited for his answer, hoping that he would say yes, despite what had happened.

"Mhnn." Aion nodded lightly, folding his wings against his back as it almost seemed the merge together if it wasn't for the smll orange stripe on his wingtip. Taking a glance up to the stars above as she spoke, he mentally debated going with her, or do be in his way. Returning his sights to her, that gentle smile seemed to get to him...god...he was turning into a blubbering idiot like that Justice fighter Amadeus. How pathetic.
...Yet...his lips wouldn't allow him to say no. It was beginning to become a bother, really. "Yes...as you wish. It would be my luck you'd get mauled by some predator, I don't want to take the chance that I might feel guilty about it." Aion huffed, turning around to the direction she had been walking in the first place. Mentally cursing how his words didn't seem to hold the same leg trembling terror they did before, he shrugged lightly. One night wouldn't kill him, he supposed...and she really did seem helpless...if it wasn't him, something else would have surely done away with her. "It's Aion...by the way."

Elu chuckled, "Mauled? I doubt something like would happen, but" She smiled at him, "Thank you for accumpanying me and for the protection." She stepped forward slightly and looked at him sideways, "Aion is a good name, it fits you well." She laughed softly and moved along the hallway.
For some reason, the way he was acting was funny to her, it seemed that he usually didn't act the way he was right now and that fact was amusing to her. She made her way forward and glanced back at him to see if he was following her. This expedition was turning out to be quite interesting, perhaps she and her sister would stay here for a bit longer.

"Hmph. Others need protection from me, not the other way around I assure you." A most familliar smirk crossed his lips as the pair neared the temple. "Did you know...Aion was the name of a Manipulative demon long ago...its rumored he got a demon to kill a million of his own kind." He stated almost darkly, but with an odd sense of humor trailing on his vocals...the same deep and smooth tone which had cause few to shake at the knees.
"Since you are new....let me show you around. I'll show you one which is fond to my heart..." Oh ironic. Oh well. Taking the lead now as his masculin height advantaged allowed him to take longer strides, he dissapeared into the shadows of the temple...the only visible aspects of his body being his striped front legs and of course his illuminescent orange orbs. "This way..." he spoke, like a dark unseen spirit as he turned to look down what seemed to be a secret passage down a level into pitch black...worse than it was already. At least a small ammount of light filtered in from a distant doorway here...yet down there....light didn't seem to exist.

Elu raised a single brow at his almost sudden change in attitude but she followed him just the same. She was 'new' here and that was an indisputable fact and the way he acted was intriguing to her and she didn't know why. She too faded a bit into the darkness, but not nearly as well as he did. "A demon, you say? And that he manipulated another to kill their own kind? How terrible." She spoke softly as she followed him, "But there's always a reason for doing such things, no matter how...pathetic the reason is."
She quieted as they traveled farther inward and began to wonder where her was leading her, it was clearly not something incredibly pleasant, e wouldn't have shifted attitudes if that was the case.

"I assure you....his reason was well justified." Aion chuckled, taking a glance over to Elu before continuing into the darkness below. It would seem that he was well adapted down here in the depths of nothingness, and knew his way around quite well. It was a good thing that there were no lights down here...as what littered the floor and walls were something that even made his own stomach churn. When his God showed him the light in the darkness, Aion for once in his life had been sick from the mere sight; now used to it yet she would definately be not.
"This way..." He coo'ed, turning a corner which what seemed to be a room from the feel of it. He could tell it was a room by how his hoofs clops had less space to echo. Moving to the center of the room, he paused for a moment, for the first time...doubt clouding his senses. Do you want this to happen again....don't show her. Its but a repeat... No...She needs to know, its only fair to see the real you. You're going to k- NO! That wasn't going to happen. Not this time, not this one....if the case was different, then yes. Yet not this time. Giving in slightly, he moved the crystal under the small beam of light, suddenly casting the room into light as the bloody paw printed wall cam into view. Aion kept his back turned to her, rather not wishing to see her run out of the room as he trailed his eyes along each pawprint...remembering the face to each and every one.

Elu followed the black male into a dark room and silently wondered why he had stopped moving, she was about to ask why he had stopped when she saw a crystal illuminating the room. It was horrible, bloody paw prints covered every wall, some clear imprints as if carefully placed others smudged or smeared across.
It was horrifying, it was inexplicably disgusting and half her mind screamed at her to run to get away and never look back. To never even think of this place again. And because of this, she took a single step back. But the other half of her mind was suddenly filled with an overwhelming concern and sympathy. Before she knew it she was beside him, "Did...did you do this? Or was it someone else?" She asked, it was a critical question.

Well, she certianly was doing much better than he would have thought. Last person he had brought down here had left in a hurry and got lost....he found her a few weeks later yet would not be running away anymore, or at all. Taking a glance back, he nodded quite solemnly, a small smirk on his lips as his eyes once more trailed the walls. "Yes....these are all from me. Each pawprint is my own..." He took a few steps foreward and placed a it over one of the prints...a perfect match.
However....he did not seem to mind her reaction, instead, moving over to the singled out pawprint, placed exactly in the middle of the stone with much care...having no other prints around it at all. Placing his paw beside it, that sad smile returned as his eyes seemed to cloud up in memories. "I have no remorse...I am loved, and each print is my proof that I am capable, and worthy for her love. Its what I was promised....My god told me such." He spoke solemnly, giving a sigh.
