As though he'd been summoned by Jodi's thoughts, Jack appeared in the doorway of the office. He took one look at the bedraggled group and sighed. "What did you guys get yourselves into this time?" He demanded in gentle annoyance. He stepped into the room, took one look at Alex, and started rifling through the cupboards. He sat down on the bed beside Alex, placing a pack of ice on her forehead. "Good greif, Princess," he murmurred, affectionately stroking her cheek. "You seem to enjoy pain." He looked over at Jodi. "Sheesh, you guys had me scared to death. Which teacher were you picking on this time? The way Soran was acting, it was almost as if you were fighting NightShade himself." He gave Jodi a mock glare of disapproval. "And your teleporting hither and thither sure does make you hard to find."

Alex looked up and saw NightShade looming over her. "Death! Kill! Murder!" he chanted. He circled her as she hugged her knees on the ground crying. "It's your destiny! You are to kill the Soran...and then Kill me...And feel your anger over take you! Then..." She found herself standing as she was pushed into the wall, she cried as she hugged her self and closed her eyes. She felt two wandering hands run down the length of her arms, causing a shiver run through her whole body, and causing her to open her eyes.

NightShade stood infront of her, smiling his evil, devil like smile. "Kill, murder..." she heard him say. He took a hand to her cheek and roughly cupped her face as he pushed her into the wall. "Then you'll be mine." he said with a menacing laugh. Alex screamed as he pulled her to him and pressed his mouth over hers...she felt her life drain away.

'No...No!' He was draining her of her mortal soul, stealing her of her power...leaving her body to lay on the ground and harbor one of his family.


"NO!" Alex screamed as she sat up, breathing heavily, covered in sweat, shaking wildly. She had sat up so quickly, she had seemed to toss the Ice pack that Jack had pressed on her head halfway accross the room. When she saw Jodi, Takaho, and Jack in the nurses office with her...she started to cry. She couldn't speak, only sobb as she let her tears fall into her hands.

She was a monster... and someday, if she couldn't controle her powers...She would endanger all of them, even Jack and Soran...and posibly murder them all.

"Oh...no..." she sobbed

Jack looked surprised when she admitted they'd been fighting NightShade. He leapt to his feet. "You were what?! Do you have any clue how dangerous he is? You can't just walk up to him like its some after school activity to have a show-down with him! Everytime that he and Alex meet, her reseolve weakens," as he said this, he realized that it was true. How had he known this?

He jumped, spinning around to face Alex as she started to scream. He sat down on the bed beside her and pulled the thrashing, sweaty, terified girl into his arms, forcing her to lay her head on his chest. "Shhh...Alex, calm down. You're alright."

Alex felt as if her heart was being ripped out of her chest. She couldn't believe what she was thinking. She remembered her dream from a while back.

'Jack and the others were killed by NightShade...And now NightShade became me in this dream....' she thought silently to herself. 'Please dont' say i'll kill them!' she looked up at Jack, and gazed saddly into his eyes.

"No...I can't" she said aloud, not knowing she had. "No....I'm not..." she was over whelmed so quickly, she took Jack's face in her free hand and guided him into a kiss, when their lips met, she cried...She loved him so much, and with the thought of possibly killing Jack clouding her thoughts she kissed him with as much passion she could muster. Then the voice called out to her.

'Alexandria....' she pulled away from Jack, gazing in terror around her, the voice repeated. 'Alexandria....'

"Who is that? Do you hear it?" she cried.

'Alexandria...kill them, kill them. You know you want to.' she realized it was NightShade's voice.

"No!!! No i wont!!" she shouted, holding her head in her hands. "No you can't make me!"

'Kill them, become the queen of the demons...let the prophocy over take you, let yourself fullfill your desteny!'

"No! NightShade stop! Get out of my head!" she started screaming.

'Come to me...come to me...' he started chanting, laughing as he spoke. She fell to the floor, some how slipping from Jack's arms.

"No...STOP!" her head pulsed, the pain from NightShade's voice causing her head to throb. "PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!" she suddenly screamed so loud as she threw her arms in the air. At that moment, from her fingers purple rays of fire shot up and through the ceiling, her eyes glowed deep purple and she screamed as if she was on fire herself.


'Come to me....Come to me...YOU ARE MINE!'

Jack squirmed slightly as she cried, her tears feeling uncomfortable against his skin, but it was arely noticeable and he quickly chided himself for being so selfish. Instead he held her and let her cry and sob into his arms.

"Alex?" He asked softly as he felt her shake. What was wrong?

He wasn't expecting her to grab him, and definetly not to kiss him. The force of her kiss startled him. It almost...hurt. He could feel her desperation.

She pulled away from him and started screaming at something he couldn't hear.

Nightshade couldn't touch him, but she could kill him. Grand, he couldn't help but think, I never thought I'd have to worry about my girlfriend trying to kill me.

Whoa, what was he thinking? Alex didn't want to hurt him. He was getting paranoid.

But then Alex's eyes went weird and she shot fire through the roof. Jack felt his skin crawl. He felt his back tingle. At first he fought it off, but then, realizing what it was, let it overcome him.

His whole body shimmered quickly, and then he disappeared, Soran appearing immediately in his place.
