Composer of music from anime titles such as Macross Plus & Vision of Escaflowne, as well as game music for Koei, Ms. Kanno is known worldwide for her moving and adventurous orchestral, jazz and experimental works.
As of late, Kanno's team seems to be that of Steve Conte, Tim Jensen and Scott Matthews. They are featured in the Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex and Wolf's Rain original soundtracks.
THE SEATBELTS is a diverse band of talented artists formed in 2048 by the elusive virtuoso YK. The name of the band derives from how the performers wear safety belts to protect themselves during their intense jam sessions. During the late 2040s and early 2050s, THE SEATBELTS traveled all over the solar system spreading their music in the "Digging my POTATO" tour. Their hit single "Tank!" from their first album, "COWBOY BEBOP," topped the Solar System Music Charts of 2056.

I got to meet Yoko Kanno at Anime Expo New York and even got to play Tank! for her. Man she is as quirky as everyone says i <3 her XD

Augh!!! Meanie Meanie Meanie! I want to meet her myself as well...you're so lucky! >.< I also <3 Yoko, and I wanna meet her so bad.
PS. I was listening to the radio station for alternative rock, and for some reason....They played one of her Jazz tunes. heart

i've heard of all of these movies like Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell, but no, i never have heard of Yoko. she sounds interesting.

For the most part TRhe Seatbelts is the band that was put together to play the musicx Yoko Kanno wrote. They dont tour and they arent together.
