Alternate Footage for Rhythm Emotion opening?These are some screen caps from an alternate Rhythm Emotion opening. It’s basically the same as the one shown by Cartoon Network except that some of the mech action differs as seen here. Also, the background for the title is now Wing Zero’s head instead of a colony. Has anyone else seen this footage? I found it on a bootleg DVD and it features the lyrics in Japanese. It was so weird seeing a different video for Rhythm Emotion!

That's the "nicer" opening; I'm sure you noticed that the other one uses clips of animation from the actual show, which looks sort of out of place next to all the nice, pretty, high-quality stuff like Heero and Relena back-to-back and such.
There's an alternate version of the Just Communication opening that likewise uses clips from the show in place of the individual Gundam scenes.

I believe the one that Lady Une posted. I remember seeing somewhere that was the original one, and the other one was kinda a rehash.

That's the thing that bothers me, actually...when I rewatched the series, they didn't once use the nicer-looking version of RE, just the one with stock footage from the show. Makes me think they saved the nicer OP for the Japanese DVD release or something.

yeah i noticed that for episodes 48 and 49 they had a beeping noise for when Wing Zero was starting up. i personally like that one better.

Never seen that one before, it's not quite as good as the one we know.
As for that alternate RE opening it's a bonus thing on one of the last Gundam Wing volumes I have.

There are two openings for Wing. Both are in the series. But, the second one comes closer to the end of the series.
I'd need to rewatch a few episodes, but I think that it might be the second opening. Or it's the opening to certian special episodes.
Argh, I'll need to consult Sailor later.
