Hiya, I am sick of norton And so is my Father, We agreed that Norton has to go but we also agree that we dont want zone alarm but he wants atleast two anti-virus' not including the windows firewall. I would just a like to know what would be two good choices that would do the job Which doesnt include Norton or Zone alarm.

Zone alarm isn't an "Anti-Virus" it's a firewall. A firewall is a -MUST-, and don't rely on the windows firewall, it's rubbish.

My recommended list:

- Zone alarm - Firewall (Has program control too. Programs have to -ask- for access to privilaged resources.)
- Avast! - Anti-Virus
- SpyBot S&D - Anti-Spyware
- AdAware - Anti-Adware

Why would you not want ZoneAlarm? neutral

well i use ZoneAlarm. but i previously used Panda Antivirus. that worked ok mrgreen

The reason I don't want Zone alarm is because It is an Uber slow program and It is s**t when It comes to internet Gaming.
I game quite alot so Norton ******** that up to.

Any firewall will do that during a game. ZoneAlarm has a "Game Mode"

And I know I told you it's slow, But my computer's a heap of s**t. wink
It's only slow at startup. After that, you won't even notice it's running.

Mixing firewalls causes conflicts.

ZA is the best software firewall I know, since sygate was taken over by nortan.

I have avast but it is amazingly annoying. It adds about 10 minutes onto my start-up and comes up with pop ups that messes up whatever you're doing. Apart from that it is great and find viruses for me biggrin

and i think they have a firewall somewhere...

Im using Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security
its firewall/anti-virus
