[ Naruto . Reality ]
MODERNIZED with a twist. Konnichiwa, minna! This RP is actually a remake if my old role play, which can be found here. Well, looking back to my old posts, I realized that this was a good idea... and since I feel like RPing right now, might as well recreate it. ^^
So I hope you guys will join and have fun. Again, word of warning: this may get very confusing. ^_^

[ Plot ] Meet Naruto: our average 15-years-old teenage boy in the year 2006. Our blondie is in the 10th grade at Konoha High, has exceptional grades (if you would call straight C's except the A in art exceptional), and shows promising talent in drawing and art. In fact, he is the author of a manga called 'Naruto', starring himself as the main character.
Meet Sasuke: the loser-b*****d-guy that's got something against our protagonist. Also going to the same school, the raven-haired teen somehow gets straight A's every quarter. Despite this fact, he somehow ended up as Naruto's rival both in real life and Naruto's manga.
Meet The Rest of the People: Haku, Naruto's best friend. Shikamaru, the lazy guy that sort of tags along with the group; neutral. Gaara, the psychotic psychopath who's psycho, excluding when he's with Naruto. Neji, the guy with the freaky pupils and somehow can see with his eyes closed, through other people, and behind him. Sakura (president) and Ino (vice), members of the Sasuke Fanclub.
Naruto's manga, 'Naruto', is very popular among the said people listed above. Heck, even Sasuke reads it, and everyone knows that he's the loser-b*****d-guy that Naruto hates. On Halloween, our protagonists planned to all dress up as their characters from the manga. (Except Sasuke, who thought it was dorky.)
But somehow, on the same morning, the characters in the manga 'Naruto' escaped, and ended up in the real world.

The Story Thus Far...
[as of page 40]On the night of Halloween, the characters finally emerge from the manga. Neji and Deidara are at the Hyuuga mansion, finding two Gaaras at their side. Naruto is trapt in a classroom with Naruto, held hostage by manga Itachi. Shikamaru and Sasuke are also there, trying to free Naruto of the Uchiha's clutches. Since Shino is at the hospital due to a car accident, Kiba and Kanuro decided to visit.

Bio: The unknown half-sister of both Kimimaru and Haku. A child hidden from mankind, and forced to live alone in the wilderness after her mother died. Taking the headband of the Hidden Mist from her father, after finding him dead while wandering alone from the hidden house she lived in, one day, she swore to learn more about her family, then the small amount her mother told her when she was alive, and what little she got from her father on his short visits.
She shares a similar disease to Kimimaru's, though it isnt as bad. In her times of illness, she only really has to lay in bed and rest for a few days. Though, her activity limit is slightly shorter then Kimimaru's, and usually warns her by making her cough alot.

][Okay, I guess we have enough people to start... which I better do before my mom comes in here and bites me 'cause I'm staying on too late. ;>.>][
Naruto glanced at the clock, sweat rolling down his cheek as he silently counted down the seconds until the period was over. He then slid his gaze to the teacher, who seemed to drone on about something unimportant--planes and World War II and dieing and stuff--pacing back and forth in the room. He stiffled a yawn, turning his attention back towards the clock.
Good, there were five more minutes left.
"...you doing for Halloween?"
Fragments of a conversation drifted to his ears, as he suddenly reminded himself of the holiday coming on tomorrow--Halloween. Looking up, he gathered the cast of the Naruto squad: Neji, Kankuro, Kiba and Gaara all seemed to be in his class.
Quickly, as there was only three minutes remaining in the class, he ripped out a sheet of notebook paper, and started scribbling.
Neji frowned as he was hit on the back of the head with a wad of paper. Without turning around, he knew it was Naruto. Why? Who else in the classroom would throw a piece of paper at him?
He sighed, reaching down to grab the crumpled paper again. Making sure that the teacher wasn't noticing, he unwrapped it, smoothing it out against his desk. On it, in the messy scrawl of a certain blonde, were the words "What do you think about cosplaying as the Naruto manga cast tomorrow?"

Kiba yawned and itched his nose and he /took notes/. He was really flipping through a magazine, quietly snickering to himself as he looked through it. He flipped the page and found an thing about cosplaying. He raised an eyebrow, he still needed a costume for tomorrow! Kiba turned to look at Naruto. He gave the other a small wave and pointed to the magazine that was open to the tips for cosplaying.

Kankuro was currently taking a nap, blocked by Kiba, who sat in front of him, from the teacher. The only problem was that he couldnt really sleep during class, as the teacher's voice seemed to drone on into his dreams, and... well... you could say they were a bit more of nightmares. So, in truth, he was only cat napping.
With a slow reaction, Kankuro lifted his head as a peice of crumpled up paper hit him in the head. With a slight growl to himself, he picked it up off the floor, and, watching the teacher turn to the board, rambling about what kind of airplains were used for something, read the note. Giving Naruto a flash of eyes, and a 'What the...?' look, he re-read the note and sighed slightly.
He was so hoping he could go as Scream, or something that would be far away from Naruto's freaky manga, where he seemed to be himself, save for wearing some odd costume, in.
Giving a slight shrug, he finally decided 'why not'? "Now... I need to find out how to make that costume... and that puppet-thing I seem to use..." He muttered, too quiet for anyone but himself and Kiba to hear.

Gaara was staring out the window, not paying attention to the class (why should he?) when a small movement caught his eye. Naruto had thrown a piece of paper at Neji, and it had hit him square on the head. Gaara smirked as he saw the slightly annoyed gleam in Neji's eye as he unfolded the piece of paper and read what was on it. The Hyuuga didn't like the way Naruto threw things at him - undoubtedly he would talk to the blonde about it later. Ha, Neji was so easy to read (although Gaara was about one of the only people able to say that).
The redhead turned back to the window after a brief glance at the clock. Good, only 2 minutes till class ended. 10th grade was just too boring...well, at least it was Halloween tomorrow. Gaara was sure Naruto would drag him to a party or to go trick-or treating or something. And just to prove his point, a ball of wadded up notebook paper hit his desk at that point. He unwrapped it and deciphered Naruto's messy scrawl before looking up and meeting the blonde's gaze and giving a small nod.

Neji crumpled the paper into its original wad, and, without glancing back over his shoulder, chucked the thing back at Naruto. In his annoyance, he left out his response on the paper. He winced slightly, dreading the torture session that was probably going to commence in--he glanced at the clock--a minute.
As he looked back down, his gaze caught the one of a certain redhead. Neji supressed a shiver, quickly breaking contact with a blush. Mentally, Neji bit himself. Why did he react that way to Gaara of all people?
He was giving the thumbs up to Kiba and Kankuro when the wad of paper suddenly hit him squarely in the face. Rubbing his nose, he half glared, half pouted at the back of Neji's head. He sniffed, uncrumpling the piece of paper once again. Neji would write yes, right? He searched the paper for his friend's response, only to find nothing other than his own words. His frown deepened, wondering what Neji meant by this. He would have to wait 'til the bell to ask the other boy.
As if right on cue, the bell sounded loudly above his head, cutting off the history teacher half into his speech.

Hmm, it was so interesting to see Neji blush...
The bell rang then, interrupting Gaara's train of thought. He stood up slowly, grabbing his backpack and walking towards the classroom door, timing it so he would meet up with Naruto and the rest of his friends just as they went out the door too.
"So, Naruto, are you seriously planning on wearing an orange jumpsuit tomorrow?" he turned to the blonde and asked half-jokingly (and therefore half-seriously).

Hearing the bell ring, Kankuro yawned and stretched, and, while gathering up what little stuff he had out, rubbed his eyes. He sighed slightly as he began thinking of what things he would need to make his costume...
"A... Dark brown... or was it black? Jumpsuit, some weird hat thing with a metal thing in the front.... Some weird sandals... Gotta go to the craft store for paint..." He muttered to himself, shoving the notebook that seemed to never get used in his backpack. "Of all the things, Naruto, why am I the one stuck with a freaky puppet?!" He asked when they were leaving the classroom.

"How can you not like the puppet?" Naruto replied, following Kankuro out of the door. "It's your mirror image!"
Instinctly, he swerved to the right to avoid any type of attack coming from the other. Sticking out his tongue, he jogged backwards, heading for Gaara's direction. In case Kankuro was still following, he half-hid behind the redhead's shadow, peeking over his shoulder to see the events fold. He distantly heard his friend asking him some sort of question, diverting his attention to Gaara.
"Huh?" He blinked, trying to remember what the other was saying. "Did you ask me something...?"
As soon as the words came out of his mouth, Naruto regretted it. Giving himself a reminder to always regard what Gaara was saying, he mentally prepared himself for the scary Sabaku-no-Death-Glare that was probably going to come next. Hm, Sabaku-no-Death-Glare, that could be a useful attack for Gaara in the manga, his thoughts drifted.
Reluctantly, Neji grabbed his backpack, heading towards the exit of the classroom. He saw Naruto walk ahead of him, attention diverted by Kankuro. He breathed a sigh of relief, telling himself to be sure to thank Kankuro later. He picked up his steps, hoping that Naruto wouldn't notice him leaving without a word.
In the halls, he gazed wearily at the blonde, who, to his surprise... was hiding behind Gaara? A wave of... something... swept across him, giving him a strange posessive urge to go up to them and...
Neji restrained the thought, realizing where it was heading. No, he wouldn't want the whole school to see him making a fool of himself by kissing Gaara in the middle of the halls, or possibly scarring poor Naruto's brain for life. Instead, he turned away, walking towards his next class, which happened to be AP Calculus.

Kankuro grumbled to himself as he noted that Naruto had gone and cowered behind Gaara. "And what's with the face paint, anyways?" He growled, wondering what his sister would say when she found him in the bathroom trying to apply, for goodness sakes, Makeup! "You're gonna owe me something if I do this costume play thing..." He headed for his locker.
Haku, who had just finished his own class, practically tripped over himself on his way to walking over to Naruto. His pants seemed way too big, and had the appearance of a strange skirt... on top of that, his shirt was slightly too small, showing some of his abdomen. It wasnt his fault he let other people go shopping for him, rather then confuse himself... "Hey, Naruto!" He said, this time actually tripping. Shutting his eyes, he stuck his hands out to catch himself....
Saved! Kankuro grinned slightly as he caught the smaller boy before he hit the tiled floor. "Next time, you should make sure you at least roll up the pant legs." He grunted, picking up the boy, and returning to his mission of getting to his locker.
"Thanks, Kankuro!" Haku called after the retreating boy, smiling. "Hey, Naruto! What are we doing for halloween, tomorrow?" He asked, turning around once more to face the blonde.
((Meet 2k6 Kankuro: A guy who's, seemingly, always grouchy at something. He complains alot about things he doesnt like, and is terrified of people that are about as tall as his belly button.
Meet 2k6 Haku: A kid who doesnt seem to have gotten a grasp on the world, just yet. Although he's very smart, he can get rather confused over seemingly the easiest things in the world, like, clothes shopping. Either he gets hand-me-downs, or his friends go shopping for him.
