Miyu huddled close to Raye's body as another strange sound met her sensitive ears. She whimpered. "Why are we here? It's scary here. I wanna go home..."
"We're here to greet the newest member of our herd," the taller burgundy pony answered in a soft voice, hoping to calm the young one. "Don't be scared, I'm here with you."
"Why can't he just be from Dream Valley too?"
Raye shook her head, wondering the same thing. "I don't know. You'll have to ask Neko about that later."

Raye eyed the black pony warily. "Who's this?"
"That's Don Juan. I met him a while ago," Miyu answered, relieved to see some friendly faces in this scary place. "Hi guys!"

DJ gave the rouge pony a small bow, "That's correct, my name is Don Juan, mademoiselle. But you may call me DJ."
"Hey Miyu," Suzume said glancing around. "What's going on?"

"It's nice to meet you, DJ," Raye returned the bow with a slight nod. "I'm Raye."
Miyu sighed. "We're supposed to be greeting a new pony. He's part of our herd, but he's from around here..."
Not too far away, another black pony glided along amongst the shadows, watching the group of ponies interestedly with his dark red eyes.
((Dark red and maroon look practically the same... >>))

"A pleasure, Miss Raye," DJ said still smiling.
"Oh? Maybe DJ knows him, his family's from Nightmare Valley."
"Yeah, but I spend most of my time with you guys. Doesn't leave much time for meeting others of my valley."

"I don't think anyone should know him yet. He's fairly new -- at least, that's what Neko told me."The pony snorted, hearing their conversation. He glanced between the ponies, deciding which would be the best victim. The small bright colored one looked to be the easiest. And she was scared, which meant her blood had to be racing. "If you want to call walking around this scary place 'fun', then sure..." Miyu glanced around. She had been uneasy since they arrived. She couldn't help but feel like they were being watched.
The vampiric pony continued his lurking in the shadows, waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
((What can I say -- this vampire likes blood. 'Sides, I thought it would be more interesting than him being nice and friendly right off the bat.))

"Well, we should continue looking," Raye said, resuming her earlier walk. "We'll never find him if we just sit here all night."
"Do you wanna come with us?" Miyu asked Suzume, waiting for her answer before she would follow Raye. She liked having their company.

Suzume shrugged. "Sure, I don't have anything better to do."
"I'll gladly accompany you ladies as well," DJ spoke up quickly. "I couldn't very well allow you ladies to wonder such treacherous lands alone."
"Oh, I feel so much safer," Ziyala said dryly as she rolled her eyes.

"Oh, thank you!" If it was possible for a pony to hug, Miyu would've hugged Suzume gratefully.
Raye grinned and shook her head, amused with the other teen. "Well then, come on everyone."
The black pony frowned. It would be more difficult with the extra ponies accompanying them. But, he reminded himself, it wouldn't be impossible.

Raye tried to recall how exactly Neko had described him. Black hair, black mane and tail, dark red eyes, and a marking that had something to do with a crown...She looked back at the other ponies. "I'm guessing he'll look something like DJ only with dark red eyes and a different marking. One with a crown."
Miyu heard a noise from behind and quickly glanced back. Scared as she was, she didn't realize that she was slowing her pace or that the other ponies were gradually getting ahead of her.
